Burial Ground for Retired Knights

I was thinking about how every now and then, i feel like taking a break from the game, but i don't like the idea of leaving the game completely without being able to tell my in-game friends.
Usually, when someone leaves and "quits" they make a big to-do about it and post something on the forum. And it almost always comes off as melodramatic. And sadly, when they quit for good, they're all but forgotten.
Well, what i would like to see is a cemetery, where Knights can temporarily deactivate their accounts so that their friends and guild mates can visit their graves and reminisce about old times.
The player who chooses to be "buried" would have the choice of reserving different tier burial spots, each with a varying price tag, featuring their name, their guild, their account age.
They could be buried in a simple unadorned grave or buy a more expensive plot with a tombstone and on the higher end of the scale, you would have mausoleums that could be purchased. Guilds would also be able to purchase "family plots" for guildies.
At these graves, friends would be able to sign a guest list for 25 cr (the cost of sending an email), to keep track of the people that visited.
When deactivated, friends would be notified of the burial and the player would show up as deceased on his friend's list, that way you would know he was currently buried and taking a break from the game.
Your grave would also degrade over time, the longer you were dead (although, i doubt this could be implemented, since haven itself is so infrequently updated).
A dead player would be able to log into the game, and see himself in a "spirit realm" pod, unable to chat with people, but able to hear any chatter occurring in the cemetery. He would also be able to see his guest list. And maybe, he could be confined as a spirit, within the cemetery, unable to communicate, but able to walk around as a ghostly "muted" version of himself. He would be able to craft and buy things from a spooky vendor, but he wouldn't be able to trade with players. He would be a glorified Snipe :P
A burial plot would include a deactivation (buy a plot, confinement to cemetery, no access to haven) and free reactivation (go back to haven). When you reactivate your account, you lose your burial plot.
Players returning from the grave for the first time would receive a badge, maybe featuring a Raven or a Black Cat, as a nod to E.A. Poe and his fear of being buried alive. This would give players with extra CE an incentive to temporarily experience being "buried," just to get the badge.
Best of all, a cemetery would give players a new night time location where they could visit their "dead" friends.

Well you know what i mean. Michael Jordan retirement, is what i meant.

Why would this benefit the game?
I mean, I get that OOO rewards its players for not playing the game, but...

Oh please, tons of games do that. I don't log in to Rusty Hearts for 2 days and I get a goodies bag begging me to come back. A little incentive to bring back veteran players is by no means a recent development.

Speaking of Rusty Hearts...
Duke, I wasn't inactive and I get that stuff for free too. Pfft.

i love this idea. it almost feels like i would have my own little house, where i could chose the decoration for my grave and also an avatar to say how i lived. i would like this idea just to be a random location that knights an choose to visit just for fun and see the last equipment that player had. this would only benefit the game if players where planing to be incativ and comeback after 2 months to one year or so. if they dont comeback then they should just delete ur buriial ground place after one year and a half to two years of deactivation. that way it would leave space for other players because sense this is a worlwide game, the burial ground would fill up fast.

What if a knight retires, and a new knight chooses the same name as the retired knight?

Then you get what Trying did to Rangerwill and Hector-Uribe, where the name becomes available again and the old Knight's name becomes some mess of numbers.

Your account would still be open, but you would basically be limited to the graveyard as a spirit. You can still craft, but you can't access haven. Think of it as an ideal option for players that go back to school. You log on, you can't chat, you can only walk around the graveyard and craft. And when you have time to play again, you simply activate the "return to haven" option and play with the living.

But why would you want that? are you scared to talk to friends sicne you cant play anymore? specialy if you have to pay.... Besides if you're dead, you cant gain any resources to keep crafting.
Looks like a random luxury for the really wealthy.
A retired knight is different from a knight on break. A retired knight has literally, permanently deleted his or her account.
