New shard bomb, can we at least choose?

99% of RSS users had this bomb in our inventory solely for the purpose of bombing mobs weak to elemental damage. (PvE). And If we want to pierce bomb we use the Dark Briar Barrage.
But now I have two pierce bombs, very redundant; not too mention I have a glaring hole in my arsenal with no damage to elem weak mobs!!!!!!! All of this instated retroactively, unfair I say.
OOO will you give us the option of choosing for our BOUND RSS Bombs to be either the new RSS bomb, or the heavy crystal pure elem line bomb?
In this way, no one who has this bomb will be hosed by the developmental decision to take a pre existing bomb and change it nearly 180 degrees. This bomb no longer does anything to undead and constructs.
This is a SERIOUS ISSUE when taking into consideration how hard many of us worked and searched for specific UVs. We should not be subject to this type of collateral damage.

That probably would have been fair. I've seen other games reset a player's skill tree if the designers make significant changes to abilities.
Or, if that was too much work, they could have given players both versions as a thank-you instead of UV tickets. So if a player had Radiant Sun Shards, they would get both the pierce version and the elemental version with the same UVs they had before.

I tried FSC with it.
70~damage initial blast
80~damage for shards
RLY? that low? I agree with OP, we should get an option to whether keep the RSS line with derpy undead uvs or get the new elemental version of it. The futile UV now pisses me off, im not gonna use that bomb anymore cuz it's outclassed by DBB.

I like Goofio's suggestion. Giving out copied versions with the same UVs they had before would have been less exploitable than the flood of UV tickets that exists now.

but lets not discuss in depth what they should have done. 100 threads are already up about that.
Lets discuss that they NEED to now step in and give us the option of either the elemental line or the piercing line. OOO, will you give us this option? it needs to be done.

There is a right and a wrong way to do things. Turning peoples FSC/LoA ctr vh bombs into pierce bombs was the wrong way to do this.
Can you even imagine if they did this regularly and with more items. Good news!!! You're toothpick sword is now normal damage...enjoy. Just ridiculous.
BTW, what's more is that the RSS was crafted out of the crystal bomb, which is the only bomb line that now leads to elem shard bomb. This makes it doubly perplexing. How in the world did they not keep the RSS as elem, and add new pierce/shadow/etc.

Suggestions
Have you tried posting this in suggestions yet? It's entirely possible that different Ringers read different forums and that the General Discussion forum goes through a middle person while the Suggestions one doesn't, so you may get a quicker resolution over there (even if less discussion and agreement from players).
Also I would recommend changing the title. It's currently too easy to interpret it as asking for the option to choose between the new bomb and the old bomb instead of what you actually mean.

Still awaiting OOO to inform us, and if the answer is no, then I fully expect an explanation as to how it is fair for every player who owns this bomb (many of us who paid high amounts for a good UV, or even higher for CTR VH) to have their arsenal obliterated as collateral damage to a mistake the DEV team made, and not one of our own doing.
This is no different then if they randomly decided to make the GF a pierce sword and said, but don't worry, here is a new SS line that now does straight shAdow.
I hate to call bait and switch, but this retroactive change to our weapon is nothing short of such (not the design change, I can live with it, although I don't like it. It is within their rate to "fix" something if they perceived it to be broken. But to change the damage type so that it is 180 degrees is not acceptable. This was the one bomb we all had to fill that elemental gap in our arsenal. It was then changed to pure pierce, the aBsolute worst thing it could be vs undead/constructs.
Simultaneously, they introduced a new bomb of the exact same style that has the elemental damage we always had--and was the only reason we invested time and/or money on the bomb in the first place.
There is no acceptable explanation as to why we were not, and are not, being given the option between the pierce or elem bomb. No ACCEPTABLE reason, only unacceptabLe ones: they don't care, it's too much effort, or they are lazy.
I truly feel as if OOO has robbed me of a product I bought from them at a heftY price. This is very bad business, you should never leave a customer with that perception.

Sorry, we cannot make this exception for you, as we cannot make it for everyone.
Its garbage. They CAN and SHOULD make it for everyone. At least everyone that asks for it. They should have just made the new RSS bomb the elem bomb, and made the heavy crystal bomb into the pierce line (even if they had to change the name to. who cares).
If they replaced our RSS with this piece of trash pierce bomb, then they could use the exact same process to replace it with the elemental bomb. Thus, why i'm so offended and insulted by this whole sorry affair.
And yes, my politely worded and logically argued support ticket was met with the same scripted flat refusal and explanatory lie as that which woodanct. Don't tell me you cant do something when the truth is you won't do it. Just be honest "we don't care, its your problem not ours, deal with it."

any call center for any product in the world has a scripted response that is nearly the same, at least follow the same format.
Thank the customer for calling/complaining/feedback. Acknowledge their frustration and their right to feel frustrated. Apologize. Give a blanket response. Thank the customer again.
Its the impersonality, and insincerity that i find offensive and condescending. From any company that engages in this practice.

I really have nothing left to say towards Three Rings, it is nothing good and they deserve the rage that is being thrown at them right now.
Coulda been done by turning all current bound bombs into "X* morphic shard bomb" that cannot be equipped, but you use from your inventory. Click it, choose what you want from a dropdown menu, then poof, it turns into whatever bound bomb you chose.
What am I thinking, that would have taken far far far too much effort.
