Damage for Shocking Salt Bomb / Scintillating Sun Shards are up

Damage for those 2 bombs are up on the wiki now for any that wish to see them. Damage for the other bombs released will be up as soon as I finish leveling one of them.

As it stands I can already tell you that the other 4 have a much higher base damage then the Sun Shards and Salt Bomb lines though.

Both have max damage for the following test, Depth 24:
Shocking Salt Bomb (5*), level 10, used on a Gremlin... 174 from the bomb, 198 from the shards.
Heavy Crystal Bomb (4*), level 1, used on a Construct... 120 from the bomb, 156 from the shards.

If you want the status then I say go for the Salt Bomb/Sun Shards. If you just want pure damage output go for the regular ones, but anybody that has been around any length of time already knows that.

Not sure if this holds up for

Not sure if this holds up for shadow vs shadow, pierce vs pierce but I'm assuming it does since base damage for other weapons has been pretty consistent across similar weapon types. I have DCB (5* ele) and SSB (5* shadow/shock)

The price you pay for status is ~10.5% less damage on shards but not the initial explosion. (Note: my values are with max damage bonus)

Haha, though i still think that they should bump up the base damage of te bombs a tad, im working on my crystal bomb, but i have my deadly shard bonb and am thorougly enjoying it.

I too agree the base damage

I too agree the base damage should be increased, based on the numbers I've seen so far. I will stall my final opinion on that until I get the numbers for the non-status, non-bonus versions. I am expecting those to be much higher, either status or bonus knock down the damage normally... I am not sure how big a decrease having both creates, or if the decrease stacks.

My other opinion on the shard bombs is that the shards need to explode sooner. They are supposed to blow up, any enemies in the initial radius get knocked back (and knocked down normally) into the ring of shards, then the shards blow up. The issue is the shards have too long of a fuse and over 90% of the time the enemies that got knocked back get up and move out of the secondary blast radius.

I love my SSB. The damage may be low, but its awesome for clearing out mobs with it. Im going to get the elemental bombs (the 5* version of crystal bomb) as soon as i get the money.

I do agree that the shards need to have their fuse shortened, preferably cut in half.....
