Quicksilver Factory, 12:38 AM

A factory worker yawned as he moderated the growth of the quicksilvers in the facility. "So how's it going?" A worker asked. "Not really much happening other than growth." As it slowly progressed, quicksilvers were developed and released to the wild to keep populations up high since it was open season for slimes. Sparkies kept watch over the entire facility and so did their giant construct: The Battle Pod. But it wasn't always safe. In the past, a Trojan had attacked the complex, damaging portions of the facility.

But today was not going to have a tomorrow. An alarm sounded. "Warning. Undead Army has approached facility from south west. Evacuate immediately. I repeat, evacuate immediately." A voice broadcasted. "Ah crap! The 10th invasion already? I'll go get the battle pod ready for the siege. You go get the weapons." The worker said. "But it's dangerous out there, Jonathan! Just wait here until I get the weaponry." Jonathan's co-worker said. He waited impatiently while the siege happened outside.

Workers attempted to fight off the undead army but their numbers were massive. A dying worker crawled to the door of Jonathan's office. "Send....a distres..." The worker died. "Oh no." Jonathan said. He ran to his computer and slammed a button next to it, sending out a distress signal. He then touched a panel on his computer screen that said "Emergency Evacuation Broadcast".

"WARNING: FACILITY CANNOT BE USED. EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY. EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY." It shouted. "Jonathan! Quickly get in the cargo bay! It's far too dangerous!" Jonathan's co-worker said, holding on to a Voltedge. The two ran for the bay just as the other surviving workers did. But then it was breached and...they appeared. Hundreds of zombies. A shock dreadnaught lead the siege and the battle had begun. Jon quickly shot several blasts but got taken out by a bombie who had secretly gotten behind him. "JONATHAN!!!" His co-worker screamed.

Then the others were slaughtered and the facility went powerless. All the growing quicksilvers never reached maturity and died inside their tubes. The entire factory had fallen silent.

And there was nobody to save it.
