It is by far the strongest

It is by far the strongest weapon in the game and people tend to view it as essential for early FSC runs. Take a guess.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

...it's somewhat awkward to use, but ridiculously overpowered in comparison to pretty much any other weapon in the game. That thing has an obscene damage output on its charge; over 2.5k if all fifteen bullets hit one neutral target. The damage for an enemy weak to piercing is over 3.5k if all bullets hit. Even driver lines with their internal ricochet abilities can't compare to that kind of DPS.

The difficulty is that you are stuck still whilst firing that thing; your entire clip must be unloaded at once when you use the gun, which leaves you vulnerable to attack from other monsters. However, when combined with a Shivermist Buster, or if you know the attack patterns of your enemies well enough, the Blitz is devastating. Trojans (and Vanaduke) are especially favoured enemies for the Blitz, since their attack patterns are predictable and they have a fairly slow attack speed.

Plasmatech Swag

is it seriously the most powerful gun in the game? even on constructs, which are resistant to it?

When they say "Most powerful"

When they say "Most powerful" they mean that it has the highest damage output of any weapon. Against weak enemies, it can reach 3~4k damage, which is absolutely trolling damage for beasts and fiends, but even against normal enemies (undead and gremlins) the damage is still disgustingly high; blitz is often a faster, easier kill than using shadow weapons against gremlins, and can be used virtually anywhere in FSC, including against the Slags, especially since they group.

As for constructs, the damage is unimpressive, but then Pepperbox can kill them just as fast as the Blitz~

Praise the sun! \o/

It has the highest DPS against any large, immobile, non-resistant enemies. Read that as, it's great for killing bosses and trojans, but outclassed by other weapons for standard enemies in the Clockworks.

@Duke: two stand-and-shoot

@Duke: two stand-and-shoot charges, with charge time included is a pretty awful result actually. Pepperbox does it in one charge, and most other guns and swords can do it in the time it takes to get off the first Blitz charge, much less two.

@Knight: Actually, because of the wide spread of the autoguns, they're incredibly useful against groups. Blitz can kill gremlins faster than Sent and slags in FSC get mowed down by relentless Blitz charges. Pepperbox can spread fire against numerous enemies at once, Plague can poison half a room, Blitz just deals extra damage, but by no means are they less useful against groups, unless you're completely surrounded (which shouldn't be hard to rectify) or are unsure you can handle the stand-and-shoot time.

Well, obviously it's not

Well, obviously it's not optimal, but I wasn't comparing it to Pepperbox. I was using that statement as a comparison to other piercing weapons on an enemy that resists it as a testament to its power. Compare 2 Blitz charges to however many Flourish combos it takes and you'll see what I mean.

Riiiight, I misunderstood.

Riiiight, I misunderstood. In comparison to other piercings, then aye, it fares pretty well against its weak element. With you now~
