Hello all,

I've decided to give a shot at describing a new danger mission I was thinking of after reading one of the other forum threads:

THE BEAST WITHIN
(Ft. The Vog!)

Floor 1: similar to a wolver status floor, except with interlacing spikes and brambles sitting around. Not too high difficulty, not too much originality either...
Floor 2: again, similar to a wolver status floor, but this time, along with spikes and brambles, there are also patches of shadow fire sitting around... Stranger and stranger... There could be massive patches of the floors missing, sort of like Devilite floors, and there could be NPCs shivering, and when u approach him, he whispers (the beast... It's huge...) or something like that. The idea is that the Vog had taken chunks of the floor out with its massive bite or something like that, and left traces of itself by the fire. As you approach the elevator, there could be a cutscene where an NPC (forgot name, the lieutenant guy) appears and tells you that 3 knights have been taken hostage by a massive, red wolf like creature, believed to be related to snarbolax, and you must rescue the knights
Floor 3: BOSS LEVEL!
As you approach the party button, you see patches of shadow fire along the walkway. (Think snarbolax boss floor, but with shadow fire where the tufts of grass are). The boss platform is basically a party button with 4 on/off spikes in the cardinal directions of the party button, and shadow fire in the corners. There is a cave directly north, where you currently can not enter.
When everyone gets on the party button, a massive blaring sound appears, and something within the cave stirs. A Vog cub peeks his head out of the cave, sort of like how you see snarbolax before the boss floors peeking his head out of bushes and stuff. The Vog cub immediately turns back inside, and there is a loud roaring sound as the Vog learns of the intruders.
The Vog emerges from his den, sees the knights, and the battle begins!
Stage 1: The vog roars and summons 6 alpha ash tail wolvers and 2 Vog cubs, and all the monsters get a speed buff, an attack buff, and a defense buff that lasts for 15 seconds. There is a silkwing spawner in the corner. every 10 seconds or so, the Vog will throw patches of shadow fire. The Vog acts like an alpha wolver, except its attack is a series of 5 bites. Once sufficient damage is done, the spawned ash tails disappear, and the Vog takes on a fiery aura.
Stage 2: Vog has additional roar attack that inflicts stun on target, can be avoided with shield. Vog also now has ability to shoot 3 fire bullets out of its mouth. These attack show itself in red markings right before it attacks, the red markings surrounding him on the floor, like a Trojan pushback attack. If the vog is touched on the side or back by a knight, 50% set knight on fire, a spawned silkwing, 4 Vog cubs spawns.
Stage 3: the first thing it does is roars, which pushes all nearby knights away from it by 5 squares or so. the Vog is very angry now, and all it does is attack as snarbolax's bite is, and spit out fire bullets 4 at a time. 2 spawned silk wings from spawners repeatedly heal him, and the Vog is solely concentrated on destroying its prey. All the knights have to do is do enough damage and the fight is over.
After the fight, the Vog burrows away somewhere (leaving a small package. When picked up by a knight, it spreads the random drops to everyone, and the knights are free to head up into the cave, where they see 3 trapped knights in cages, and the knights break open the cage and frees them. Behind the cage is the elevator (lol, elevator in vog's den) and the players head back up to haven.

Drops: (everyone has different chance of getting their own drops, more than one from the list is possible. However, each bullet point counts as 1 item, so it is possible to get both wolver cap and dusker cap, but not possible to get wolver cap and wolver coat)
100% chance of bushy tail, sharp fang, monster bone, and red shard
1% chance of wolver cap or wolver coat
0.5% chance of dusker cap or dusker coat
0.1% chance of ash tail cap or ash tail coat
0.01% chance of Vog cub cap or Vog cub coat
0.5% chance of Vog lockbox (requires wolver cap, wolver coat, a bushy tail, a sharp fang, a monster bone, and a red shard to open)
Vog lockbox drops a volcanic accessory, better the accessory, lower the chances of getting

Visual aesthetics of Vog: similar to snarbolax, slightly longer, more like mix between snarbolax and alpha wolver, although same size as snarbolax. Reddish orange patterns along its coat, and red/orange/yellow mixed eyes.

Vog cubs should be the respawning enemies instead of regular ashtails (like perma frostifurs in Heart of Ice)

The boss itself should be simply called Vog or Alpha Vog or Champion Vog or whatever.

And if it's gonna be a danger mission, no special drops like the others form balance and consistency.

Nice, I would rather have people continuing on with my idea from this thread, because it seems that no one was taking mine seriously.
m pretty damn pissed at you though. You kinda copied my WHOLE damn idea. And will probably get congratulated on it.

Also, Juances, the vog is a diety, and vog cubs dont actually grow up.

Another thing, your drops are all wrong. Pros will just farm the mission for the boss, because of the high rate of getting things. Its not so well thought out on that part. put the percentage way lower. see mine for a bit more better drop percentages.
Ew. Your whole last stage reminds me of vanaduke way too much. get some orginality. please.

Correction. Never claim to have been copied with a generic idea which anyone with at least one eyeball and a quarter of a brain would have put together using half eaten Duplo blocks.

Preemptive response. I have been ignoring both these threads until now because I wanted to see something clever. Instead we get the same Wolver mechanic with a less intelligent burn-all-the-things system than Vanaduke. The fights being the best parts of both threads.

2: did I really copy... What exactly did I copy? The name? Part of the name? The non-existent details? But I'll admit, ur thread did give me this idea, so partial credit to falclion
3: ugh, I was tired, it was 4am, gimme a break... Fine, new stage 2 (I don't think u meant last stage, stage 2 was the one similar to vanaduke)

New stage 2:
No fricking water dispensers

Great job

Great idea, it would be awesome with the vog and its cubs, but I think getting a 5 star item would be too much, maybe taking out the vog set and/or replacing ash tail with dusker set, but instead, if the vog set or ash tail gets taken out/replaced ,increase the chance of a vog cub lockbox to about 5%
This idea is great though, nice job

Thanks for the approval and new ideas!
I know getting a 5* is a bit much, but that's why I lowered possibility to 0.01...
The Vog lockbox can't be high percentage, cuz that would pump way too many volcanic accessories into the market, and so make them too common...
I'll up the percentages for a few of them tho :3
