Normal Weapons Universal Buff

Well, everyone knows normal weapons are inferior to specialized damage weapons due to the fact that you can simply wield two weapons with different damage types and deal extra damage to four monster families, while being neutral to the other two. In order to compensate for normal damage weapons' weakness, I suggest that there be a universal buff to ALL normal damage weapons which will increase their damage by a fifth. In fact, OOO did do this a while ago to bombs and guns (blitz needle never needed it, but whatever).

So this will include...

Swords: Triglav, Sudaruska, Dread Venom Striker, Wild Hunting Blade, Cold Iron Vanquisher, Leviathan Blade, Lionheart Honor Blade, Scissor Blades & Winmillion.

Handguns: Iron Slug, Supernova, Neutralizer, Volcanic Pepperbox & Valiance.

Bombs: Deadly Shard Bomb, Irontech Destroyer, Big Angry Bomb & Nitronome.

I only included the 5* weapons (and Winmillion) because those are the ones that count in the end.

TL;DR: 1/5 damage buff to ALL normal damage dealing weapons.

Edit: Changed it to 20% damage increase and included Neutralizer

Each weapon is different. Calibur charges can be strong enough. Troikas are just slow. Iron Slug is extra weak (compare damage to neutrals on callahan) AND lacks a status. Pepperbox is weak but has fire compared to blitz.

They all need a buff, but global tweaks aren't helpfull. Also 1/3 can be a lot. The difference isnt so big to justify it. I'd chose 1/5 at most.

1/3 seems like far too much. A 15% increase would be plenty.

BTW, Iron Slug doesn't need a buff until it's fully implemented.

If Nitro got a 33% buff it'd do as much damage to wolvers as DBB does.

Deadly Shard Bomb is really the only one on the list that could use at least that much.

I'm not sure why you didn't mention Neutralizer, but fact of the matter is that Biohazard doesn't gain a whole lot more damage in exchange for the drastic reduction it has on weaker targets, at least with the charge. Neutralizer and Biohazard are pretty well-balanced against eachother like that, I think.

As are Plague and Pepperbox. In fact, Pepperbox is one of the highest damaging weapons in the game (as is Plague) and one of the few weapons in the game that can be very viably used absolutely anywhere, and as an effective weapon to kill any boss with; even Blitz can't say that. It only seems gimped because it sits so close to Blitz which is the OP weapon of the game. Unfair comparisons and all.

15% damage on *most* normals would be fine. Deadly Shards seriously needs something else goin' for it. Honestly, I'd say the biggest thing that normal weapons need -more than a damage buff- is the power to interrupt easier. Two hits of any specialised sword will interrupt a target, invariably. Normal sword? Full combo and then some.

Yeah... I sort of already thought that 33% damage increase would a bit much so I've reduced it to 20%.

@Hexzyle- 'Traevelliath' never posted on this thread. What. o_o
