FROSTY DEMO AND GUNSLINGER GEAR.....OOO.......COME ON ALREADY, PRETTY PLEASE?

RESKINS:
Okay, i'm happy with the reskinned armors giving us more options. But this appears just another aspect of the game where gunslingers and bombers are intentionally ignored, loudly stated as second class citizens.
We get new colors of everything except Gunslinger Gear and Bomber gear. When will this blatant disregard for these classes end? OOO, you created us, now please give us at least a hint of love and appreciation.
This is not a Q.Q thread. Nor am i blasting OOO as being evil villains tying gunners and bombers to railroad tracks and twisting the ends of their dapper combos.
I'm just pointing out the absurdity that bomber and gunner armor are virtually the only ones that are completely unrepresented in any reskin. We already feel as though we get the short end of the stick in lockdown, in damage capabilities, in armor that boosts our stats (no skolver, snarb, vog equivalent for gunners and bombers. Covering the full assortment of desired stats while providing nearly a full assortment of potential defensive options), in weapon bomb rebalances.
The least we can do is get frosty, hallow, surge, hunter reskins of our armors TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't come up with a single good reason why we were ever exempt, or why we continue to be omitted.
OOO IF YOU WON'T CHANGE THIS PLEASE AT LEAST LET US KNOW WHY

Frosty Extra Vertical Vents and Cat Tails while we're at it, please.

Um....if someone is going to come in and move the thread, why not give us some feedback while you are here? It'd take no less effort.

Not only are they apparently too "lazy" or otherwise short-handed on modeling to not be able to do anything but recolors, but now they are too lazy or short-handed to even recolor stuff.
Yep...

Gunslinger ponchos are rpetty magic cloaks except for the cowboy thingies on the arms and feet
For for the hats... they couldn't even retexture them by default, they are all the same. Only 2 colors shared bewteen all the lines.
Thats more improtant.

I can see why they don't make the Gunslinger Sash variations since the Sashes themselves are basically are just a recolor of the Magic Cloaks. They use practically the same model (same bits of armor except Gunslinger has tattered pants). They'd look pretty much the same unless they add on the revolver barrels that the 5* versions have.
Still, that's no excuse for not adding in the Gunslinger Hats, especially since the Gunslinger Hat, Sunset Stetson, Justifier Hat, AND Deadshot Chapeau are EXACTLY the same. Nameless Hat and Shadowsun Stetson are the same as well, so why not add in some more color and variation to the poor ol' Gunslingers?
Plus, I don't see a problem with recolors of the Demo armor unless they're really hurting for an artist... Maybe I should look at that Artist job opening OOO has again...

@Zopyros: They also have spurs...but those are prismatic pieces.
I don't think not having an artist is a problem for recolors. When recoloring a 3D Model, you just need a texture compatible with said model. Since few of them have very specific or ornate decorations, one would think they could use it universally - the only exceptions are perhaps the star on the hats of Deadshot/Justifier, which would probably use different models or somesuch that need different textures. Specific things like that would probably need their own textures remade instead of the generic ones, but it really isn't *that* much work.
unless they add on the revolver barrels that the 5* versions have.
Revolver barrels?

Moved to GY2.
Yep. They don't want to give us a Frosty Demo Suit.

Well, the person that moved the thread might be someone who doesn't have the answer... It most likely wasn't moved by a dev you kno'?
"The reason there are no themed gunslinger and demo sets is because OOO is too lazy to make re-colorable versions of their textures." -Oatmonster
For all we know, they're just saving them for later...

@Weedalot, Hmm, If they were "saving" the texture that should be released with the other re-colors that just happen to correspond to the classes that they have blatantly labeled second class, and they did actually have the textures already and didn't release them even when given two chances, would I have any more respect for them than if they were just lazy?
I'm just saying. Do we know enough to start labeling them as 'lazy'?

Uh...
We haven't had new PvE content (Of any kind) for over 4 months. First LD map in some months, basically the only thing that has happened are time-based real world events, and the Guild Hall Update.
Which, I'm perfectly okay with. But this just indicates that they are either "Lazy", which I kind of doubt, understaffed, which seems more likely, or simply aren't scheduled to work 7 days a week while being understaffed.

@Severage
Sorry, meant the revolver cylinders. The part where the bullets are loaded that for some reason Gunslingers think should go on as forearm armor.
I've done a little 3d work in the past, so I know the basics of modelling, UV mapping, and textures, which is why it perplexes me why they can't add these in. Unless there's some odd way they have the textures and models packaged that makes it more difficult for them to alter the Gunslinger and Demo textures, I don't see why they don't just open the texture files in photoshoop and repaint them.
The stars on the Hats do seem more complicated, since they also seem to have a particle effect on them to get that shine. Though, I never understood why they're all the same in the first place and why two of the 5* variations get less fancy.
My artist argument may have been a little weak considering all the new art assets that came with the Guild Hall update and the new Proto armors, their artist/s are probably worked to death right now. I mean look at all the new props that are in the Winterfest level too!
Still that doesn't stop this relatively simple fix from bugging me though. :/
@Hungran
Retextured Jelly armor is an interesting idea... though they'd get pretty confusing with the silver Frosty colors and the actual Quicksilver and Rock Jelly outfits. Plus, the Hunter recolor would like you're wearing barf. D:
And while we're at it why not the Skelly line as well?

Still doesn't mean they haven't been working...

@Weedalot, Most of the re-colorable textures didn't exist before the hunter promo, especially the ones that weren't prismatic before it. They went throught the trouble of adding tons of new textures while ignoring bombers and gunners.

I'm just going to quote myself "Which, I'm perfectly okay with. But this just indicates that they are either "Lazy", which I kind of doubt, understaffed, which seems more likely, or simply aren't scheduled to work 7 days a week while being understaffed.".
@Zopyros:
Oh - that would just be recolored. I don't even think you'd need a "texture", as in anything dynamic. Obviously you'd need a texture in the sense of the UV mapping, but I don't see why they would be difficult to texture...it would more or less be one sheet of color on them. Assuming, of course, they are their own models connected to the main body.
If, by some magic, they are modeling it as one piece (Which I don't see how you would even get that to work), it would make sense, but the models being arranged properly should more or less be little trouble.
Retextured Jelly Armor? Eh...Impostoclaus Hat? lol

The reason there are no themed gunslinger and demo sets is because OOO is too lazy to make re-colorable versions of their textures.
