I'm a recon gunslinger and whenever someone attacks me and I go recon, that person easily finds me with my footprints.
Which makes recons useless and easy to find.
Please remove the recon footprints as us gunners have problem with it.
That's because this thing is probably a bug, Msaad. Not a feature.
I highly doubt the devs would intentionally put such an evident flaw into an ability. Much like the unintended not-walls surrounding the Winterfest starting area.
I hate those snow balls and getting stunned in the safe area of WF but I hope the Devs remove it soon.

My guess is that it was done intentionally.
I dont play recon, but on maps like the one that just came out, you can easly see recon footprints and just eat them by surprise.
i equip recon kit 55% of times and when i go recon, i mostly fight with the Vog Cub set to make meh swords faster.
Vog's Fire Ash footprints are very visible on some maps.
Do you guys really want me not to use cloak and go spamming bombs instead?! but really get rid of that bug/glitch/whatever that thing is.

As far as I've seen the footprints only occur on the levels with snow, so in Ld it's not a error it's just a decorative thing coded in from PvE.
As far as you've seen... Well then I suppose you don't see gremlin storm (why thank you skyrim for taking over my various terminologies a second)..... er... I mean ghostmane stalkers that well either do ye?
Anyone who's learned to track ghostmane stalkers effectively can and will rather quickly be able to find any cloaked recon if they only train their eye enough.
Trust me, I used to play tons of recon until I noticed that the footprints were a dead giveaway against the veterans of LD. Now I may as well sit there with a 2-hit-wonder of a shield rather than get blasted away simply by moving.
The footprints, while a godsend to strike clones, are nothing but heck for any recon looking to learn the playstyle well. As soon as someone's learned the trick, quite a few can readily spot recons with just a little time... and that lack of a shield does NOTHING to help against the clones when they have you spotted.
Although since I only use recon to bomb I never really worry about it :P
I agree The black smoke coming out makes the people who have the GF Find us easily and we can't run away back to heal
