Skies turned grey as rain started to fall in a spring-sprung area. In a nearby cove hid a Seraphynx there shivering in the cold. Every four or five seconds, rain began to fall heavier and thunder clapped from the sky, scaring the Seraphynx, while also leaving it wailing or crying after.

"Ngnh...!" Skye grunted as a Greaver pushed him to the edge of a cliff. He held his Ascended Calibur tightly as he swung at the offending monster. Unfortunately it didn't hit, leaving him open for an attack.
"RRRRRRRRRRAAAH!" the Greaver squeaked as it pushed Skye off the cliff.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!"

*KSSHHK!*
"No!... Skye...!" a girl yelled out as she drew back the Flourish she used to stab the Greaver.

Five days later
"Ngnh..." Skye said, rubbing his throbbing head. He had just awoken from his fall, and looking around, he saw a waterfall, a river, and some trees.
"Ugh... Where am I...?" he asked himself.

Standing, he grabbed his Ascended Calibur, a Calibur equipped by his ancestors for such a long time. It yielded such power, Skye could not wield it himself and it left him useless for any mounted expedition into the Clockworks. But nonetheless, it didn't stop him from trying.

He walked through the patches of leaves. They were fresh -- wet with dew and rain.

"Huh... I guess it did rain the night... before?" Skye said. Then he looked at his gauntlet. "Five days past? Then what about the mission...?! Better start calling Acel to tell her I'm okay..."

He pressed a few buttons to call Acel, but to no luck, it was out of signal and the only way to send a message is mail.

"Ugh... I hate mail... Now let's see..." Skye complained to himself.

Message Recipient: Acel Storme - R 001
-Heya, this is Skye. I'm alright; I just fell down by a riverbank... I think. Well cya, I'll try to find a way back...

He pressed a few more buttons and SEND. A few seconds later, it was sent.

Sighing, he tromped a few more steps, reaching a cave.

"Hmm?... Is this even in the map?" Skye asked himself. He checked a few of the databank files and no success finding a similar location.

"...Mew...?"

"Hello...? Is anybody here?" Skye hollered inside the cave.

From inside, a small meow was heard. Not too loud not too soft, much to Skye's surprise, especially in the cave.

"Huh... If..." Skye said as he took out his Ascended Calibur, heavy as ever, and readied himself. He walked inside the cave... and fell.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"

"Mew?" the Seraphynx meowed as it heard the scream.

A few seconds, a person fell down to the ground. HARD.

"Ngnh... The hell......huh?" Skye raised from his pained position and rubbed his throbbing skull as he looked around. There, he saw a Slab and a Seraphynx behind it.

Moving closer to examine the Slab, Skye walked slowly. The Seraphynx, out of fear, hid more. As Skye reached the Slab, he called for the sprite to come out.

"...Hey, little fella, come out now... Don't be scared..." Skye called out.

The Seraphynx showed it's face little by little, and soon, it began to fly to Skye's open hand. Shivering, it meows softly.

"Aww... You're such a cute fella..." Skye said, patting the Seraphynx onn the head softly. At first, the Seraphynx was surprised at this, and slowly, it began to purr, assuming that it likes it.

"Now I wonder what you're doing here. And how I'm supposed to get back. And..." Skye trailed off.
"Meow!" the Seraphynx meowed, with it's snout pointing to the slab.
"Huh? You want me to read the slab...?" Skye asked.
"Meow!" again, the Seraphynx meowed.

The slab had characters that were unknown to Skye, it was a bunch of symbols, like Egyptian Heiroglyphs, only some of the symbols were replaced with pictures of gremlins.

"Okay... lets see here... Hmm... It's in no language I can translate to, buddy. I figure, it's gremlin handwriting. But I bet the scientists back home can decipher it." Skye said.
"Meow..." the Seraphynx meowed sadly.
"Hold on... Why're you here anyways? Shouldn't Sprites be in the Lab for energy recuperation?" Skye asked.
