Changing a Knight's Screen Name

Just one question:
"Why isn't there an option or possibility of us changing one of our knights' screen name?"
I can't think of any drawback or con in having the option to change our knights' username, except for the fact that maybe the name we want to change into would already taken. But in that case, there should always be a "Cancel" button.
I don't exactly care if changing a knight's screen name costs energy. Or crowns. But its strange how we aren't able to do it at all. My main knight is called Stormwars. And I would like to be able to change it, if possible.
This is a simple suggestion, with basically no drawback whatsoever, and there are many a knights out there who regret their choice of names. If you are one of those people out there, feel free to give a shout out.

Try googling "Spiral Knights" along with the name of your topic. Anything with my posts in it I won't mind you necroing, I still continue to support such posts.

Imagine the confusion someone's changed name would cause everyone.
Seriously, I had someone on Steam change their name, and I totally forgot who he was.
Luckily, we have Nicknames for that.
But seriously, the confusion involved. Solve that, this gets a go-ahead.

Limit to changing your name once per 3 months. You can only change your name to something that isn't already taken. A knight's name gets deleted if he does not fufill ALL of the following criteria:
1. Has not played in the last 12 months
2. Has not aquired tier 2 (or 3, negotiable)
3. Does not have any CE (or has not purchased anything with real cash. negotiable. Runescape only allows paid players to change their name)
Above my head for 12 months after I change my name:

So therefore if you have played in the last 12 months OR you have unlocked tier 2, OR you have any CE, then your name is safe. As I mentioned in my first post, these parametres are debatable."

It is possible to find a clean and secure way to do it, but isnt something to take on lightly
