Salutations! My ign is Schicksal, and I am the leader of the recently-formed guild, "The Spiral Braves". We are open to all who satisfy our one requirement: Be Brave! Bravery is the cornerstone of any successful group effort, and our guild has bravery UP IN. Bravery means stepping up to every challenge, not wavering in the face of indomitable odds, and ALWAYS willing to go into those Danger Rooms, because what are you, a coward?
Of course, that doesn't mean you should always just run head first into certain death just to prove how brave you are, you'll look like a fool. Instead what you should do is be 100% certain that you will succeed, and THEN run head first into certain VICTORY (and that's how a Brave should feel 100% of the time!). Now you might be saying, "But Schicksal, having an unrealistic attitude won't improve your chances of winning!" First, don't interrupt me. Second, you couldn't be more wrong, sir or madam. Attitude is everything; a coward who has resigned himself to defeat will never succeed, but a Brave will always have a shot at victory, and that's because a Brave never gives up. And if you never give up, you cannot possibly lose. That's what being a Brave is all about.
(But, knowing how to handle a weapon definitely helps too.)
Aside from understanding the importance of ignoring overwhelming odds, a true Brave understands the importance of a team, because while a Brave by himself is usually just a cocky hothead, Braves together are a fierce weapon, which doesn't know the meaning of the word "can't" (and really any word that indicates a level of difficulty). That's why we're here, to take a bunch of cocky hotheads and bring them together into an invincible force to be reckoned with. We're basically the Justice League, if they were more interested in picking fights than saving the world.
One more thing, a Brave doesn't have to be a sword swinging maniac that runs into the fray at every opportunity. Support roles are just as important.
So,
if you constantly get into arguments about whether or not to go into the danger rooms,
if you've ever spent exorbitant amounts of energy fighting the same group of way-stronger-than-you enemies just to show them who's boss,
if you like fighting every single skeleton in the graveyard just because,
if you've ever ran into a fight, genuinely certain that you would win, only to be obliterated soon afterward by a much stronger enemy,
if you've ever ran into a fight, genuinely certain that you would win, only to succeed beyond all odds against a much stronger enemy,
Then you have the makings of a true Brave! Join Today!

[EDIT]: Also, being online on a fairly regular basis is important too. We don't want our guild to become a ghost town.

Braves to the World!
This all sounds awesome! I'm not very experienced, just got to tier 2, but I am a cocky hothead! i will go anywhere anytime, provided I'm sure i can win, which usually isn't a problem, as i am a cocky hothead. It would be awesome if I could join this guild. My IGN is Armerio.

My last experience in D2 is that I seldom see the guild member becoz we are in different time zone. Most of them are in US.

I chuckled when you thought this was a facade. NO, this certainly isnt! Only those who feel truly confident in their bravery and mettle may call themselves a Spiral Brave! Even if one starts out small, to have the COURAGE to look up at something greater than you, and throw all your effort into the single goal of defeating your enemies no matter what it takes!
That is what it means to be a Spiral Brave!
If you dont have what it takes, then maybe this guild isnt for you

I couldn't have said it better myself. But Zoa does bring up an important point, concerning size. A lot of the fun of online games comes from playing with people you're familiar with, which can be difficult if your guild is small. But, I see The Spiral Braves more as a symbol of its members' commitment to bravery than as a meeting place for players, and simply inviting as many people as possible to make us bigger won't provide a satisfactory solution. So instead of that, I'm encouraging everyone to make many friends outside of the guild. That way, they will have the opportunity to play with lots of people they know, and still be a part of the bravest guild around.
Remember that saying: It's not the size of the boat that matters, it's the power of the motor!
Or something like that.

Well you do have that underlying charisma that a myriad of other guilds lack. You can't, however, disregard the fact that a measly amount of guild members like 10 will have a hard time forming a party and dungeon crawling together occasionally enough. Has anyone ever attempted tier 2 with a bunch of pubbies? It's not the most favorable situation to be in. Which is why a large guildbase is needed.
But I do applaud you for putting quality before quantity. My old Guild had reached its limit with 100 guild members and only 5-10 were active at a time.
I do, however, hope that you value consistency and reliability just as you value bravery; there's nothing scarier than an inactive guildbase. Of course it will still be a guild, albeit a very dysfunctional one.
I see a bright future for this guild nonetheless. I'm more than interested in joining now so shoot me an invite when you can. Again, my IGN is Coatl.

I can assure you that I value
I can assure you that I value reliability. In fact, one of the reasons why I formed my own guild was because my old one rarely had more than two or three online at a time, so I understand where you're coming from. As far as reliability goes, I've found that doing dungeons with the other members has been quite easy, since (at least during the afternoon and night) as much as half the guild is active. Like I said before, I encourage the members to make lots of friends as well, so guild size becomes less of a problem; regardless, small size is a temporary problem at best, and I refuse to believe that there are less than 100 brave players out there. I more than welcome your contribution to that number.
One more thing. I guess being online on a fairly regular basis would be a good requirement for membership as well, so I might say something about it.

I don't know if i'm allowed to speak as an experienced player, as i am just a fresh tier 2-ite recruit of this guild, but it really is best to be on whenever time or situations allow, which for me, is Saturday and sometimes Sunday, if not on holiday, And to work smoothly with your guild, and get to know your guild, why on my last outing, iwas fighting alongside my guild leader, Schicksal, again, i'm sorry, my server had disconnected. No man, or knight, is an island. No man, or knight, stands alone. Working together is a necesssity. And let's not get in each other's way, let's help each other on our way. Because WE are the SPIRAL BRAVES!!! Let me know what you think of this.

looking for someplace to fit in
My IGN is Caika (kah-EE-kah), and it means "little night." I'm a very new player (only on T1) but I'm catching on quickly. I can currently take on two or three opponents with my Heavy Hatchet, and though I may not be a "cocky hothead", I still like a good fight.
Could your guild use someone like me? If not, I'll just keep looking. :)

This is only my second day...
This is only my second day of playing spiral knights, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be playing the game as long as i have energy to spare, especially on weekends...
I've never joined a guild for anything, so I'm slightly nervous, but I"M ASKING ANYWAY ( Hows that for bravery! /sarcasm/)
I'd just like to be a part of an active group that i can depend on for a team down into the clockworks, and to help me get on my feet as a new spiral knight if need be...

Need a more active guild.
Hi, I'd really like to join your guild. I've made it to Tier 2 and a few levels into it, but not any farther. So I'm really looking for a guild that will help me reach the next tier. I'm sick of fighting with a group of people who are only interested in treasure and ditch me while I do the fighting.

I am indeed still in charge of The Spiral Braves, and am definitely the one that you should speak to. Please be as detailed as you can about this matter, I don't take accusations like this lightly, and I do not want to vilify one of my own without just cause. That said, I guarantee that your statements will be considered with all due seriousness, and that I will take swift action if they warrant it.
[Edit]: Just to be clear, I take malfeasance very seriously; players taking advantage of other players can create an environment where having fun becomes difficult. I won't tolerate that in my guild.

Hi schicksal ^_^ master of master im on the forum now! so im with the Spiral Braves 3 year along and proud of it :) i realy love this guild and i work hard for too! i make a Facebook page in french ( SPIRAL BRAVES ) and also in English ( the spiral Braves ) that's great but i see a lot of guy dont play :S and also i make a movie conferance and anyone came at! so .... this is lame ... but i tink ... i tink i can do another conference the next weekend ... so!! For me, Im usually against it, then have to go in to save the necks of the headstrong T1 Fellows.
All the other points hit home for me though. Wish I didnt have to die as much to said Stronger Enemies. ¬.¬
