So I prefer to think of knights as robots with no gender. And I remember in a clockworks confidential they were referred to as "Techknights" and when you get downed you see a mechanical heart thing... So Counter Arguments? Supporting Arguments? Discussion!

Eeehhh

They were/are referred as "Techknight" but it doesn't mean that they're mechanical, I mean, aren't Technicians people too?

Mechanical heart thingy might be an x-rayesque image of the knights heart and makes it look all mechanical. You wouldn't wanna see a beating red bloody heart (assuming Knights have red blood and guts) each time you die right? Weeelll hearts on the ground are red and beating but they're cartoony so it's an exception :3

Cyborgs, half mechanical, half humanoid. We coudl also be tiny ants on a giant customizable mech-suit.
That's why we never really "die", only the mech gets broken.

There is evidence for both ways... maybe we are just all cyborgs? Mix of people and machine?

I still like robots but this idea has merits.

In some materials, it mentions Knights eating things.

Rocky Core
A delicious gummy treat with an impenetrable rocky shell. More than a few teeth have been lost by knights attempting to get at the gooey interior.

Warp Dust
A light dust left behind when a creature travels at unbelievable speed. It tastes great in dip.

And in others, it mentions them smelling.

Waste Module
A small receptable that once collected refuse from a device built to wreak havoc. Now, it just plain reeks.

Brimstone
A smelly, stygian, sulfuric shard commonly found in the Underworld.

None of which, robots can do.

Also, there's a Graveyard for Knights. If robots "died," they could've just been rebuilt.

The Knights, in my opinion, are neither human nor robots. Just a race of humanoid-looking creatures that have unique physical properties, such as glowing eyes.

>That's why we never really "die"

You go tell that to Feron after you remember the casualties in Operation Crimson Hammer and what your status report was after the rescue mission in Mission 8-2: The Rotting Metropolis. Oh, and then what was the point of Mission 3-2: Blades of the Fallen?

Like Ironskullkid said, if we are robots and then die, why are we not just rebuilt? Why do you think Arkus is no longer with us?

Theres this game i play.

Most game has some "flaws". things that really make no sense. I play a game on forums called "(game name here) Logic"
where you state a whole bunch of failed logic in video games. I should totally make one in Treasure Vault.
example.
"Knights cant jump.
SK Logic."

I prefer to think of knights as gaseous essences housed inside mechanical suits of armor. Yep, that's about it.

@Feline-Vladmir - Go ahead and make the game! =P

"We're not computers, Sebastian, we're physical."

Also, Iron, robots can do all of those things better than hummans. Much, much better than hummans.

Space Marines can't really jump either. It's the weight of the armor.

Im pretty sure he was reffering to the space marines of StarCraft not Master Chief. A) Master Chief isnt a space marine he's a spartan. B) Master Chief is also had augmentations done to his body which allow him to wear that suit which augments him even further thus the suit not really being an issue to jump.

Perhaps the knights are

Perhaps the knights are humans. Kinda perhaps like way late in the future sort of humans who have spread out and colonize new planets and the planet earth has been lost in history. And we have machines built into our suits that let us have glowing eyes to help us see in the dark.

Or maybe we are some sort of weird hybrid of humans and some sort of alien race with glowing eyes. As stated earlier, robots don't drink, eat, or attempt to eat things. Nor do they die, as they can be rebuilt.

And what about those zombies? Maybe they are humans or human like beings from a planet the clockworks took apart, and they died in the clockworks and never left o3o? The undead have to be dead to become undead.

I think

That they are half human, have augmented robot.

I call them Bio-Bots. So they obtain energy from food, replicate like humans, etc. However, they are also powered by energy as an alternative source.

We're actually scouts sended

We're actually scouts sended to the Space by mages to die because we waste energy, not chocolate. They call rogues in Cradle to build a city and disguise themselves as "strangers" and "snipes". They bribed Kora to send lies that the strangers are helping the knights, when in reality they're our spies.

Meanwhile, the mages creates a purrfect turret that have infinite range, power, and speed. They celebrate it by dancing and burning the knight's photos.

WE'RE DOOMED.

btw

btw, who would want to jump in SK? It wouldn't do anything really... "Ooooh I can jump up and down allowing me to avoid trap damage and get over lava squares." No. If you get caught in a trap you deserve the damage (though you get invincibility frames). Lava squares are there to block off areas we aren't suppoed to get to yet and can be removed with water. I see no use for jumping...

Just like how there is pretty much no jumping in Zelda: Ocarina of Time (and if I can remember, none in any of the other Zelda games either)
Simply put, we don't need to jump, the levels are flat.

@Hexzyle: Bad example, you had the floaty boots and hook shot in Ocarina of Time and If i remember correctly you could L target and jump with a sword attack... even if you were using the floaty boots to give some extra distance. Roc's Feather and Roc's Cape in Oracle of Ages and Seasons... the ledges in all the gameboy games, and those wells that had hidden rooms under them if you fell into them.

We are actually just these guys. Clouds of energy encased in suits of armor.

Yes there are a few examples, but height isn't heavily used. It's employed in a puzzle or two, but the scaling of large numbers of crates by jumping up onto them would not be missed if it was removed from the Zelda games. But it adds in more of an environment.
Simply put, we rarely use jumping in real life, and rarely use it in video games either (except platforming ones lol, can't kill goombas by kicking them yet...)
People are getting their game genres mixed up ^^

@Klipik - Ha! I remember

@Klipik - Ha! I remember them. Except weren't they pure shadow energy in armor? My memories are fading... I do remember that when the main one got injured his essence or whatever started leaking everywhere. :P I don't think that happens to us in SK though, fortunately.
