HAY U!
I came up with an idea while in FSC today. Combine the Black Kat Cowl with CIV for Max DI vs Undead. This also works with Wild Hunting Blade, Heavy Deconstructor, and Cautery Sword. So, why use these over specialised weapons anyway? Because you can, duh. I have in my mind some challenges for y'all.

Common rules:
You should wear the Black Kat Cowl. Sorry, Zeddy and Quakeman! D=
You may not change any equipment after entering the first floor with monsters.

You may not use any weapons but Cold Iron Vanquisher, Wild Hunting Blade, Heavy Deconstructor, and Cautery Sword.
You may only fight Undead with Cold Iron Vanquisher.
You may only fight Beasts with Wild Hunting Blade.
You may only fight Constructs with Heavy Deconstructors.
You may only fight Slimes with Cautery Sword.
You may fight the remaining two monster families with any of these weapons.
Skolver clones do not fall under the Beast family.

You may not wear any armour that gives any non-family specific bonuses (e.g. you may wear Valkyrie but you may not wear Snarbolax or Volcanic Demo), the Black Kat Cowl and Mercurial (the regular version) being the exceptions.
You may not wear Swiftstrike Buckler or Barbarous Thorn Shield.
You may not wear any trinkets that give you Damage Increase, Attack Speed Increase, or Charge Time Reduction for anything.
You may not wear any trinkets that increase your health.

Clarification: you don't NEED all those four weapons but they are the only ones you may use. If you say, have no Cautery Sword but encounter a Slime family monster, you can fight it with something else.
Multihits with say, the Decon, is okay as long as it hits a construct. This applies to all weapons.
Because I do realise not everybody has the Black Kat Cowl, it's now allowed to use helmets following the same rules as Armours.
UVs are perfectly cool on weapons anything.

Just for fun, I will give 5,000 CR to the first person to do Dauntless Hipster and uploads it to YouTube. No guarantees here due to possible lack of clarity that might put two parts in disagreement. I will NOT accept speedruns, though. Try to fight all monsters if you want these barely botherable crowns.

Now, for the challenges themselves...

Bronze Hipster: complete a full run from Emberlight to the Core following these rules.

Silver Hipster: complete a full run from Emberlight to the Core following these rules without dying.

Gold Hipster: complete a full run from the surface of Cradle to the Core following these rules.

Dauntless Hipster: complete a full run from the surface of Cradle to the Core following these rules without dying.

ProproPROTO: do Dauntless Hipster while wearing Proto Armour as armour.

Questionable gear choice: do Dauntless Hipster in a gate that includes at least one Shock themed stratum and one Fire themed stratum while wearing Frostbreaker Armour.

A Song of Fire and OUCH: complete Firestorm Citadel while following these rules but not wearing any armour that enhances fire resistance.

Fierce Niches: score the highest damage that must be over 7500 damage in a Random Lockdown game while following these rules.

eh...using a new overpowered

eh...using a new overpowered hat, that all the rich people are wearing, doesn't seem very "hipster" to me.
You should limit it to Armor that gives damage vs a specific type of enemy. So, Volc Salamander, Valkyrie, Radiant Silvermail, Heavenly Iron (maybe, it does have low damage vs everything), Dragon Scale, Deadshot, Deadly Virulisk, Fallen, and Arcane Salamander.

Making some edits after posting this.

Quakeman, I apologised before I even posted! I think the second to most unlucky, Zeddy, already gave up although he's a cool guy who'd give his first book to someone else anyway. I remember the confidence he had, the motivation to give all the people a book! What has this week done to us?

everyone that i was working with by inviting them to kill the kat and they invite me to kill the kats dont invite me anymore because they all got the book ... all of them :c

Oh, you guys should relax!
Shamanala, go for it, but I won't be giving you those 5k CR if you use other weapons =P
Keep in mind that this is just some stuff I came up with for fun, and you should do it for fun, too.

Uh...

That's not really the idea. See, my thinking behind this was that you'd reach max DI vs several families but only with specific weapons and normal damage. Doing, say, Dauntless Hipster, would also add the challenge of having to make a good loadout that can counter many things, notably the Black Kat Cowl's many weaknesses, also.

Zeddy only has two of those btw, Venom Veiler and Biohazard. I have th other two, though =P

Anyway, you do that and record it. It'd be cool!

Just get a divine mantle, all weaknesses except poison are countered and gives shadow and elemental protection (piercing damage monsters are kinda a joke so not really needed.) And gives a fiend bonus because everyone hates fiends.

It's cool-ish.

It's doable if you just choose the gate with Snarbolax and speedrun all stages. Otherwise, just very time consuming, unforgiving, and very hard. I'd give it a try but I'm busy hunting Kats in foolish hope of finding a last book as well as ranting on the forums.

I gotta try your challenge. Though I don't have any of the weapons in my inventory. If I had to describe this challenge I would say it's really inovative and would require alot if not constant weapon switching. Good luck to all who attempt this! But what if say a charge damages another family it's not supposed to? Are you auto disqualified?
