Hi guys, Arkate here.

So yeah, below I'm essentially going to explain my idea below:

Even as winter in haven ends, and spring grows near, the ice and snow returns.
A dark storm is brewing somewhere in the clockworks, and it rises to the surface.
Desna's recon rangers have charged you with the task of investigating this mysterious forthcoming,
and hints towards a never before seen enemy.

It would be a three-depth mission.

The first depth would be a large, frozen plain, and occasionally blizzards would occur,
obscuring the player's view. There would be all sorts of Kats floating around there, and eventually you would make your way to a curvy and winding rock path. The rock path would lead you to an undead/fiend arena. Upon completing the arena, another gate would unlock,
and you would walk down a small bit of road with treasure, and reach the first elevator.

The second depth would be down inside a a tower. In the tower there would be phantoms and...ghost owlites!
That's right, ghost owlites! At t1, the owlites would be wearing magic cloaks and hoods. At tier 2, they would be wearing elemental cloaks and hoods.
At tier 3, they would be wearing divine cloaks and hoods, or chaos cloaks and cowls. The t1 ones would toss elemental balls and run around, so would the t2 ones. At t3, the divine owlites toss elemental balls, and chaos owlites toss shadow balls. You'd find a splitting hallway. One path leads you to another undead/fiend arena, the other path takes you through an owlite infested corridor. At the end of this path, there would be a very large owlite arena. Along with the owlites, "magical wards" would appear, which would be the equivalent of gun puppies. Completing the arena would again take you down a treasure corridor, and to the second elevator.

The third and final depth would take you down into a large library. There would be healing pads down there, and then a party pad. Once the party pad is activated, a gate behind closes, the pads disappear, and the boss appears. The boss would be wearing robes and a mask, and be very tall. He would have four wings on his back, and four arms. In one hand, he holds a book of spells. In the rest, he holds balls of elements. In one, a ball of shadow, the next, an elemental ball. In the last, a ball of fire. He would summon up owlites occasionally, and also toss blasts of elements at you. The first stage would be like that. Upon doing enough damage and shattering his mask, the 2nd stage would begin. He would summon phantom lancers at t3 along with the owlites at this point,
and sometimes be combing all the balls of elements to shoot a white ray of normal damage at you. The 3rd and final stage would begin after you've dealt even more damage and sheared his wings off. At this point, the giant owlite archmagi would go into "rages" every once in a while, which would involve him shooting down icy spikes into the floor at you. He would do everything he had been doing at the earlier stages. This time, you would need to hit him until his book falls, and then attack the book until he picks it up. When you destroy the book, the owlites all flee, and Feron contacts you, saying that the winter storm has subsided. Then you walk into the ruined book, and recieve "Magi Marks". You would be able to trade these for cool gear with a new npc called "The Outcast", who would be an outcasted owlite.

The boss would of course, be called the "Owlite Archmagi."

Upon entering the boss room, the following conversation would occur:

OA: "So, the knights have come to save us from the Kats at last? They are too late! Too late have you come! I have begun summong an endless winter, one that would freeze the kats and their empty souls. Stop me if you can knight, but I shall return even then!"

Boss sequence would begin.

Upon defeating the Owlite Archmagi, this conversation would begin:

OA: "NO! How can this be? How could you...how could you defeat me? My library...it is in ruins...I shall return someday knight, and you will rue that day!"

And then the Owlite Archmagi and his pals would run away.

Rewards obtainable with "Magi Marks"

Swordmage armor line - More info to come, but it would have to have elemental defense...and provide bonus damage to spells.

Caster's Codex - it would go in your weapon slot, and look like a large iron gauntlet, with a small open spell book. The spell book would allow you to equip up to two spell tomes, but have an extra third slot at 5 stars. You would cycle through spells with the c key, and attack with them like any other weapon. (The Caster's Codex itself would be like any other weapon, because it uses a weapon slot.)

Fire spell tome - allows you to shoot an amiable stream of fire.

Divine spell tome - allows you to shoot an aimable ray of divine magic.

Dark spell tome - allows you to shoot an aimable ray of shadow magic.

Concept art for the owlites, owlite archmagi, and rewards coming soon!

Feel free to suggest your own ideas for spell tomes, and tell me what you think of my idea! (Make sure you do it in a polite manner please.)
Also, I would love getting a review from Nick or a GM.

Too much in my opinion.

^Can't belive i say that twice a day...
I do think its called archmage not archmagi, spiral knights aren't ment to be magic, i don't think owlites are either. I think they're more off manipulating the elements, wich i don't consider magic you might do tho i don't care if you do :P

Three depths is too little, and this idea is too much, owlites are dead and rewards like this ones dosen't come from this Desna's recon rangers missions.
Sorry but its a -1.

Tho if you cut out the whole mission rewards part and new npc and new weapons this could be a good Desna's recon rangers mission.

EDIT: Fixed some misspelling.

I would do a review but all I see is "magic owls zombie goasts snow magic things throwing balls" and apparently only reviews from Nick and friends matter so I have no reason to share any of my ideas for this thread which makes me feel a little sick to my stomach trying to read it for the fifth time.

Luguiru...

I can take criticism. As long as it's constructive.

Because, my little one.

They wear no star gear. It would be pretty tough for me to pull off their crap in proto gear.

Another reward

I forgot something...

Ice, a sword that looks like a leviathan, but has a black blade and white hilt. The blade is shattered, and blue light binds the shards.
Charge attack would be like snarby barb, but shoots ice spikes. Med chance of Med freeze. 2 hit combo, normal damage and slightly less of it than leviathan.

I'm just saying we could take this chance to make a special mission after Desna gift us a temporary cloack.
I mean it's a storm... probably everything is dark and foggy. Perfect for stealth.

...

what do you mean, 1-?

And little one...You gave me another idea!
You could give a certain number of these magi marks to Desna instead, and she would give you
a cloaking device aided by magic. The cloaking device would basically replace your shield as in LD, and be some sort of a small gauntlet on your left arm.
