(Snake vanguards are humanoid snakes, with void colors and swarm armor, they can spit out void mist which can lightly infect any person that comes into contact, the have razor sharp claws for fingers and toes.)

"I'm Axis, I really wish I could meet you in person and splatter your vitals, your armor and your friends across the room but i have more important matters to attend to." an evil voice called out throughout the warehouse. Axis was using one of the snake vanguards as a literal phone and was talking through him. 10 snake vanguards and the twins burst in threw the door. Round two had begun. "Well Trivoc I said that this wasn't over didn't I?" Axis gloated self satisfactorily. "DESTROY THEM!"

@Kaijuhunter: can you tone down the equips a little please? The Valkyries aren't renowned for their powerful equipment; they're renowned for their powerful tele-manipulation. To give you an example of what I'm talking about, Heavenly Iron is their strongest armor.

Also, thanks for explaining the reference. I'll make it clear that this is the information Thrynn recovered.

@Azure-Orbit: I appear to have contradicted you slightly on post #457 regarding what Gwen did upon receiving Ikaros' documents. I'll make the correction below (but I'm too lazy to go find the contradictory post and edit it, as it was a very short reference. xD)

Ikaros handed Gwen the documents, declaring that she would never do that again. Gwen felt bad for making her go to all that trouble to find the docs, but she had to have them. Gwen began to peruse them, and found that Feron had, in fact, ordered the destruction of several people who happened to all be friends and family of Jari. Was it a coincidence, or intentional? The report indicated that it was coincidence; many of these people were just as sick and twisted as Jari. His brother, for instance, was found guilty of doing fatal drug tests on unwitting Isorans. Jari's father and mother were convicted of several counts of child & spousal abuse. His cousins were arrested for aggravated assault and battery. Apparently, violence towards Isorans ran in the family. Jari had misinterpreted it as spite. It made sense, at least. But convincing Jari of Feron's justification was next to impossible.

Thrynn had subsequently returned to Gwen and reported his findings. Kirito had been a valkyrie of light, at one point. But he had become cold-hearted of his own accord, and was banished by the council for his misbehavior. Apparently, the council deserved death for that decision. Such were the ways of the fallen.

Something touched Seatus, and he nearly jumped out of his skin. A small, white, pixelated blob was sitting there next to him. It had no defined form, but was rather cute, and had magenta dot eyes. It giggled and dematerialized. Seatus turned back to the Pool of Reflection, only to find that the thing had rematerialized right in front of him. It seemed to be teasing him.

What on Cradle was that thing?

So cute!

The blob rematerialized right into his hands. It felt warm, but had no distinct texture at all. It looked at him with a curious expression on its "face," then darted straight at him. Seatus jumped back, but the thing seemed to pass right through him. As the Pool passed through his field of vision, he noticed a strange white color in it. He bent over for a closer look, and saw a white Snarbolax in it, looking right at him and mirroring his every movement exactly.

The blob rematerialized, and pointed at him while giggling.

The blob started making odd noises. "Shtus. Stus. Seets. Seeus. Seetus. Seatus!" The thing knew his name, apparently. Its behavior was reminiscent of a young child's, who is just learning to speak and enjoys teasing and having fun. It giggled again.

The reflection in the Pool changed to show events occurring near depth 3. Theo was carrying Gwen, who was looking very ill and nearly dead. Theo was trying to outrun the Void forms chasing him. With Gwen in his arms, he would have a good deal of trouble escaping. Both of them needed help, and soon.

The swarm was closing in on the knights. Axis grinned. The plan was working perfectly. They would need nothing short of a miracle for them to be saved. The time for the fight was drawing close, it was time to prove he was the better. (hey thin can you take some of the parts of the fight against Kazam?)

Look ma, no arms!

A deafening shot rang out, blowing off Axis's left arm and leaving a black-blooded stump. A Morai in heavy-looking armor plate had a gun outstreched, and the barrel was smoking. Another Morai wearing a demolition suit and carrying an Irontech bomb was standing behind him. The armored Morai spoke. "This party is over, Axis." Axis recognized the voice as belonging to Kazam. If that was Kazam, then the grenadier behind him had to be Larore. Where was Gured and Cleo? They were probably part of a trap. ((We both know that Gured was busy arresting Cleo for murder, but Axis doesn't know that.))

Kazam reloaded his slug and re-aimed it at Axis. "What's it gonna be, son? You gonna quit now while I'm feelin' merciful, or you gonna be all proud 'n try to fight me?" There were a couple of clicks as Larore armed his bomb. Kazam continued. "Yer lil' black minions won't do ya much good. I'll just blow yer head off at the first sign of trouble. So don't you try anything stupid with me, boy."

Breaking the rules

Axis cackled in one of the most demonic spine chilling ways. "Well you fell far Kazam." Kazam raised a tentative eyebrow at him. "You finally started to catch on, no one plays fair." and with that his severed arm turned and formed into 2 snake vanguards that charged at both the grenadier and the Morai captain. Axis disappeared, using his newly acquired cloaking skills. He found 2 swarm zombies, he instantly turned them into pure swarm and molded it back into his left arm. He then pounced back into battle, brandishing his swarm sword and the venom annihilator. He shot 1 round into the bomber, it barely pierced his armor. He soon started calling in more and more troops soon they were surrounded by at least 20 other swarm monsters. "Well then, shall we begin the ACTUAL fight?" Axis taunted and with that he landed a blow on the Morai captain's chest plate.

Kazam just laughs.

Kazam was hit in the chest plate by Axis's blade, but true to his word, Kazam leveled his slug at Axis's head and fired at him point blank.

Larore, however, was a little unnerved by Axis's cackle. He tossed his Irontech into the crowd of Void creatures, blasting them to pixel dust a few seconds later. He armed another one, and just as Axis's head got blown off, he ripped open Axis's chest and planted his armed bomb in it. A void zombie then tackled him, and began to chew on his helmet.

Nine other Morai warriors suddenly burst into the room, guns blazing and swords swinging. They mowed down the Void ranks like a hot knife through butter, using the superior training Kazam and the Knights had been giving them. Sure, they were outnumbered, but the Swarm was seriously outmatched.

Does it look grim for the Swarm? Not really, no. Does it look grim for Axis? Perhaps.

((Axis is only dead if you want him to be. Being Swarm-infected has the benefit of giving you the opportunity to respawn whenever you like, and wherever there is a Swarm seed. The Swarm absorbs the genetic information and memories of the host, allowing it to fully replicate the host at will. Of course, it prefers live bodies, since they have superior durability to pure Void forms, but it will generate its own if need be. Axis may reappear if you like, but he must respawn near the Core, preferably in a Shadow Lair.

You could also pull a rabbit out of the hat and have Axis remove the bomb from his chest, and give him the zombie-like ability to recover his head. I'm interested to see how you deal with Axis's supposed death.

He can still be returned to his original self, even as a pure Void form, but not through ordinary means. Would you like to see him returned to an uninfected state at some point in the story?))

((If you really don't want Axis's original body to be destroyed, you may request an overwrite. I won't mind.))

I hadn't thought about the possibility that the Swarm would need a spokesperson. If Axis becomes the spokesperson for the Swarm, he will need to be buffed up quite a bit, like to Kirito's (current) or Gwen's (former) level. If he doesn't become the spokesperson, I would like to see him either be cured or die a brilliant death (like being blown up from the inside).

"You're a smart one. Any further proof can be supplied by the fact I'd bet crowns on the fact he does not know his name. If you would care to tell, please do so now." Said the Knight with the swordlute.

"Well... Its... I have amnesia." Stuttered the one with the Brandish.

"Well, my name is Archemiday. Probably the only string plucking person you will see here." The swordlute Knight said with a bow. He then turned to the Knight with the Brandish.

"I say I put him where he belongs. Anyways, I still I have yet to learn your names." He said, turning the other Knight into an orb ((How the -bleep- did Archemiday do that?)) putting the Vog cub down while putting a blanket on it. "So we have 3 knights, a battle sprite, a cub, and a sleeping woman. I assume your all friends of Thrynn?" He continued as he put another blanket on Ikaros.

"My name's Arkus, formerly Guardian of the Spiral Order." Arkus began. "This is Trivoc, Defender-class Knight. And Chappers, a surprisingly smart, Soldier-class Knight. The sleeping woman is Ikaros, a Vanguard. As for Thyrnn, we don't know who you're talking about." He continued. "He could be the battle-sprite Archemiday mentioned." Chappers added. "Oh, yeah. We did spot a battle-sprite somewhere around here before the skirmish broke out." Arkus answered.

Honestly, Trivoc wouldn't be surprised if Chappers' latest Swarm infection had gifted him with better thinking capabilities. [Actually, now that I think about it, that could be a little worrisome.]

Archemiday acknowledged this and then sat down near them while pulling out a book bag. "Peace at last..." He said as he pulled out another bag, this time containing a large amount of ammunition. "Enjoy, you need it more than I do." He sad as he set out the equipment on another blanket. [What's the point of carrying ammunition, if he doesn't have any firearms?] Trivoc wondered.

Trivoc and Chappers helped themselves to the supplies, while Arkus sat down as well (since Guardians didn't really carry ranged weapons). "Would you care to join us, or do you have somewhere to be?" The Guardian said to the Valkyrie Knight, waiting for a reply.

Archemiday then pulled out some Rocky Cores and distributed them among the group (even to the sleeping Ikaros). "Haven't had one of these in ages. Now, after saving you twos lives, I'd like an explanation of who everyone is and what's going on. And where is Anubis?" He asked.

Trivoc spoke as he loaded the shots into his Argent Peacemaker. "Arkus took care of our introductions, so I'll just move on as to why we're here. My original mission was to carry an Echo Stone to Gwenyvier, the Queen Valkyrie. I was assisted by Arkus and Chappers. We then encountered a Morai squad led by a Swarm-infected captain. We captured them with the help of Gwen and Ikaros, but they managed to escape after they left. Arkus was incapacitated when it happened, so there wasn't much he could do."

"Makes me ashamed just thinking 'bout it." Arkus commented, pretending to be sad for the sake of humor.

Chappers chuckled at this as Trivoc continued. "After the three of us had recovered, we decided to hunt down the Morai squad, and found them in this warehouse, holding Gwen, Ikaros, and a battle-sprte; which I'm assuming is Thyrnn, captive. We tried to think of a plan on how to save them, but Anubis came in and took care of everyone. He left quickly though, and it wasn't long after that when the skirmish started."

He paused for a moment to bite on his Rocky Core "Thanks for saving us back there. I don't think we would've lasted long if you didn't get their attention. Not just any Knight is that selfless. Speaking of which, what's your rank and what are YOU doing down here?" Trivoc asked, wondering what purpose Archemiday had to be down here, much less unarmed.

Suddenly, Theo felt his head going numb, he carefully placed Gwen on the floor as he tried to fight the pain buzzing on his mind. "Gwen... Sorry... Just... Go without me..." Theo groaned, "Thanatos... Go... And help.... Gwen..."

"What?! the heck, I'm not leaving you to nibbled by those void insects! ((That was a joke))" Thanatos replied and shook Theo's shoulder, hoping that it would somehow return his senses back.

"Just... Go... Partner..." Theo croaked, he had troubles speaking or making gestures, but it was clear that Theo was pointing them to the end of the warehouse, where it might be safe to hide there.

".... Make it out a alive, of I'll kill you..." Thanatos chuckled and carried Gwen this time, "Girl, I prefer you looking like thi-"

"JUST GO!" Theo growled, there was a slight tone of jealousy in those words he mumbled at Thanatos.

"Just kidding partner, do I have any reason to love this beautiful, charming and strong girl? Of course I do!" Thanatos taunted Theo and sprinted across the warehouse.

"This... Is the swarm..." Theo gritted his teeth as he turned his back, somewhat surprised to see the void forms ready to kill him. He brandished his Gran Faust and stood up while using his sword as a supporter. "I'm... Sorry Gwen..."

"Dammit, why he ain't answering?" Gured growled as he furiously pressed his comm unit, he returned his deadly look at Cleo who was still crying. "Cry all you want, it'll be your last..."

Cleo continued to cry, her tears wouldn't stop flowing as it had flooded her frail heart. Gured sighed and took out his gun, loading the bullet into it and aimed at the girl's forehead. "Guess the judge and the jury isn't here to witness the executioner today.."

And he pulled the trigger.

I grabbed the wolver and put him in my lap. "What's your rank, and why are you down here?" Trivoc asked. "Why I'm down here, I saw anubis, who I saved from an orb earlier and followed him he went off a ledge and I, without thinking, jumped off too. I'm a little selfless because, well, I lost my only friend a while ago, and I'd rather not have anyone go through the sadness of losing a friend. My rank... Lets save that for another day. I'd love to join you, but I can only play music." I said. As I reached into my backpack I felt something sharp. "Ow!". I then looked more carefully and saw two ascended caliburs. I took them out and handed them to the knights. "This pack is endless I tell you. If I ripped this open I'd probably suck the entire universe into it!"

The Morai Sisters are actually real, but the story isn't.

There are those beings who watch beyond the Astrals, those beings are considered as gods and goddesses, and there are those who are responsible for the life of the mortals. There is the Three Morai Sisters who holds on to a very thin thread known as the thread of life.

The youngest sister, Clotho, spins the thread and witness the beauty of giving birth to limitless potentials.

The second sister, Lachesis, allots the thread and witness the beauty of changes and how they use their potentials.

The oldest sister and the most powerful of all, governs death and stands above the other two, she is Atropos who cuts the thread of life, she witness death and shows how frail mortals are.

It was shameful how the most oldest sister bickers amongst the other, she considered herself far more important and powerful than the two. Of course, none of them agreed to each other, they continued to argue of who's position is much more important the the other. They all then made an agreement to continue taking care of the thread with one of them not doing anything.

With the departure of the youngest, there is no life or anything to be taken care of.

With the departure of the second, there is no point of clinging to hope.

With the departure of the oldest, life continued to fertile and the land became prosperous.

Clotho and Lachesis agreed to both that their jobs are far more important than Atropos, who grew great envinous and hatred to her younger sisters. She cursed them, turned them into mortals and forced them to live in struggle and hardship. But soon the two unfortunate sisters grew accustomed to their lives and enjoyed it, this brought rage to Atropos.

She cursed them once more, but not only the sisters were affected, it was everyone. Atropos planted the root of evil inside every one of their hearts, somehow only Clotho was unaffected by such darkness, she still live until today, bearing painful reincarnations, witnessing countless of death at the hands of her oldest sister who became clouded with lust.

If only Cleo remembers.

@post 503: errr. Ikaros is a WARRIOR valkyrie. So i'd guess that although they have no mental superpowers, their combat capabilities are higher than the other Valkyries'. Think of it like a mage and knight: warrior valkyries are knights, most others fall into the mage category.

"BOB SLICE!" Wirefury bellowed, grabbing a Brandish off a fallen knight and cutting off another's head. "Wirefury you imbecile!", Jari snarled, "You're meant to be fighting the Spiralians, not the Morai". Wirefury stopped. "Oh" he said, then dropped the Brandish and attempted to stick the poor Morai's head back on its body. Jari was about to say something, when he doubled over and began coughing blood. "I think..." he croaked, wheezing, "My time is drawing near, I don't have much time". "I fear, the Swarm has destroyed my innards, my will to survive.". Pointing towards the Lab, Jari clutched his stomach. "Give Gwenyvier Project 24. She may find it useful". On that note, Jari died.

Deeper corruption

A pulsing mass of darkness formed in the Shadow Lair. Axis had reformed. His troops had closed in on the knights in the abandoned warehouse shortly after he had made his announcement through one of his fallen minions. He checked in on the Morai strike squad. They had defeated him and his minions on the surface, but the war was still raging. (Not to mention Feron was trying to destroy the Spiral counsel this very second) but he would emerge the victor in the end. He entered farther into the shadow lair, the poisoned gloaming wildwoods. The swarm was calling to him, and he answered.

Void critters vaporized right and left. Gels gurgled, lumbers fell, zombies broke. All fell beneath the terrible edge of Theo's Gran Faust. With the Core to his back and the Swarm at his front, he was cornered, and was not likely to come out alive. There was a squeal as a Void gremlin bit the dust.

A bright light shone from behind him, and something strange poured out of the Core. The Void monsters stopped, screamed, and fled, but all crumbled underneath the white wave. Theo turned around to see what it was, and saw a valkyrie, standing in a vast sea of white. Ghostly figures, clad in Crusader and Valkyrie armor, materialized from the white sea and swarmed through the Void, destroying anything that posed resistance.

He stumbled forward, utterly confused about what he saw. The lone valkyrie approached him, looked him over, and touched his forehead. Eight other valkyries joined him and surrounded Theo, and soon he was drowned in the white, pixelated sea.

He awoke on the soft grass of the Sanctuary. He sat up to find that he was at the feet of a white snarbolax.

Its a drawing of Ikaros' Uranus Queen armor. (If u didnt see my msg, remember that Ikaros is a warrior valkyrie, and as such is a heavy-weapons-and-armor sort of person. While she lacks the mental manipulation capabilities of Queen and King Valkyries, her combat prowess exceeds theirs. She is a sword-to-sword fighter, which is why her gear is combat-oriented.) ))

I woke up to the sounds of Arkus' Perun smashing the ground. I thought it was a trick of my weary brain, but i saw two identical knights standing near each other. They were all busy bickering while Chappers had that look on his face that reminded me of my favorite book character: Sir Knightlock Homes. Apparently, Arkus said something to silence the two, almost like "Well? Is it true?". No one noticed i was awake yet, but i rubbed my eyes. I sat upright and yawned, then shot a "poke" arrow at Trivoc that got his attention.

I repeated the words i had said only a few hours ago. "Hey, what'd i miss?"

I woke up in a familiar place. The Sanctuary, where the very first of my kind, Hokuu was born. I got up on my feet, only to see i was still in Wolver form. Now that i was near the healing waters of the Sanctuary, it was alright for me to spend some more of my energy reverting back to my true form. My claws grew sharper and more curved and i felt my tail go up in flames before dying down to sending small embers. I walked over to the water, faintly aware of the Knights beside me, and felt a rush of relief as the Swarm power that the Void Chromalisk had unleashed on me slowly vanished. And that was when i saw the white Snarbolax.

"Hello, grandfather!" I barked as i ran up to him and curled up at his feet.

My true colors and face.

I lowered my sword and asked, "So, how long have you and Ikaros been together, Trivoc?". I said as I looked at her. "Give me a second, I'm started to sweat in this armor.". I said as I took off my helmet, revealing a male face with blue eyes, blue short hair, and tan skin. I took off my armor and it showed a light blue lab coat with black pants and a green undershirt. I took off both of my dusker gloves, but kept a black glove with a glowing blue core on my left hand. I wouldn't be surprised if they asked about it. I took out a case from my pack, which I took glasses from and set them on my face. "I saw ikaros drink something earlier, was that mountain jelly? If it was, hoe is she sleeping? I thought that had 30 spirals of sugar in one can."

"If you're wondering, I'm not unarmed." Archemiday said, pointing the swordlute at them. "One of these two are going to wake up and murder me while you look at it, aren't they?" He asked. Trivoc wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic. "I don't know what "two" you're talking about, but we're not going to kill you after you helped us." He replied.

Archemiday then turned to the sleeping Valkyrie. "So, how long have you and Ikaros been together, Trivoc? Give me a second, I'm started to sweat in this armor." He said, noticing how much Trivoc looked at her. Trivoc's face turned red. "What! Oh no we're not together, in that sort of sense. We just, happened to meet, under the circumstances. You know?" He explained, sounding obviously nervous.

Archemiday acknowledged this and continued speaking. "I saw ikaros drink something earlier, was that mountain jelly? If it was, how is she sleeping? I thought that had 30 spirals of sugar in one can" He said. "Well, we usually bring no-sugar, or lessened sugar ones, just to quench our thirst when we're spending our days in The Clockworks." Trivoc answered, glad to change the subject.

He then felt a something blunt hit him lightly in the side. He turned to see Ikaros , now awake, and holding her bow. "Hey, what'd I miss?" She said.

"Oh, you're awake!. I believe you don't know my name. I am Archemiday. What you missed was Sir Knightlock Holmes here. Found my doppleganger." the Dusker Knight said.

"Well, we found the guy who saved us back the warehouse skirmish, fighting with a Swarm reflection of himself." Trivoc said. "Chappers here cleared it up with some good ol' logical reasoning." Arkus added. Chappers smiled. "T-thanks. I got it from my father." He said.

Trivoc turned back to Ikaros. "Hey uhh... How much of that did you hear?" He said, almost afraid to ask. He knew he had sounded like he was trying to hide something when he spoke to Archemiday.

"Evertyhing..." Ikaros said. This made Trivoc's heart skip a beat, but he was quickly calmed when she did a cheesy evil laugh. "Na', I didn't hear anything about this "that" of yours."she said as she stood up and stretched. "Anybody got some Mountain Jelly?" She asked, as a small Slime, who was just passing by, started sliding away from her. Much to everyone's amusement.

"Hey, anyone know where Gwen is? For that matter, where's the Vog cub?" Ikaros asked.

Everyone just either looked at each other, or shrugged. they honestly had no idea that they had even left. Archemiday mentioned that he still had some Mountain Jelly, but Trivoc cautioned him. "You backpack might be endless, but be careful. Ikaros will drink it all if you give her the chance." Trivoc said humorously, recalling what happened to his last cans of Mountain Jelly.

"Oh! You're awake! I believe you don't know my name, right?" [You don't say...] i thought irritatedly. The bardy-looking Knight in Dusker armor continued, "I am Archemiday. What you missed was Sir Knightlock Holmes here." He pointed at Chappers, who smiled. "Found my doppleganger, that genius."

Trivoc nodded as if he agreed with Arch's analysis of Chapper's intellect. He said, "Well, we found the guy who saved us at the warehouse, and he was just fighting with a Swarm version of himself earlier." From there, Arkus continued the story, "Chappers cleared everything up with some good ol' logical reasoning," which got a grin from the Cobalt knight. I nodded my understanding, and everyone got back to their business, making small talk, running around screaming "HAVEN FRIESD SNIPES!" in Chappers' case, etc.

Trivoc looked at me funny; it was as if i had learned his deepest and darkest secret. "Hey, uuuh... How much of that did you hear?" He asked. I honestly had no idea what he was talking about, but i decided to get his goat. "Everything," i said in one of those cheesy evil voices. "MWAHAHA- *yawn*". I was still drowsy, but I guessed the "that" he was talking about was the reason he was conversing with Archemiday earlier. That would explain why i didn't hear a word of it; i was still half-asleep at the time.

I cleared my throat and yawned again. "Na, i didn't hear anything about this 'that' of yours." Strecthing my arms, i slowly stood up and asked, "Anybody got some Mountain Jelly?" A small, apparently lost Royal Mini that had passed by suddenly squirmed faster, trying to get away from me. Chappers laughed at this. After sufficiently stretching my appendages, i looked around the warehouse.

"Hey, anyone know where Gwen is? For that matter, where's the Vog cub?"

He contacted other swarm monsters, flush out the survivors in the warehouse. "Capture a knight with wings, interrogate her about the queen, kill everyone else. He instantly contacted the twins, they had given up the chase around depth 10, "get to depth 3 now." "Lead the attack under NO pretenses will you tell them i'm alive, tell them i was killed by Kazam, and keep it that way."

I frowned at Trivoc's joke about my obsession with Mountain Jelly. It was sort of funny, but i thought i should preserve my dignity as a girl by acting all exasperated. "Hey," said Archemiday. "Oh, i have some Mountain Jelly in here." He reached in his pack and pulled about five cans and a large Rocky Core out. [That's it?] i thought. Normally, i could guzzle 30 cans of the stuff before going into an insane belching fit. Yeah, i can act a lot like a boy some times. Arch continued, 'And i also have the cub right-" he looked down to see that there was absolutely nothing on his lap. Shaking his head, he said, "Huh... Where did he go? Strange. Well, I'm not sure who this Gwen is, so sorry. Oh, do you need help opening that Rocky Co-" he was interrupted as i chopped the Core in half with my hand and greedily drank its contents, (( i'm going to take a bit of creative liberty and say that Rocky Cores are like coconuts, but they have jelly inside )) then ate the edible, dried-up shell of the Core. Next, i swiped the caps off of all five of the Mountain Jellies and drank them in half as many seconds. I burped quietly and blushed as Trivoc stifled a chuckle.

"So..." I said, "Should we go and find Gwen?"

"How do you know my name...? Seatus asked. The blob just giggled and said, "Mamamama!" It suddenly grew deadly serious and polite as nine tall figures approached. They were all very ghost-like and pixelated, and seemed to be wearing Valkyrie armor.

None of them spoke, but they all looked at Seatus with amazement and curiosity on their faces.

(( why thank you for the compliments -both on my artistic skills and Ikaros' body- thin. :3

i don't know why, but in anime, the armor is more revealing than regular clothes, -and therefore should leave the characters even more vulnerable than if they just wore a shirt and jeans- but whatever. I thought Ikaros' armor looks cool, so i did it like that.

Again, if you didn't notice post 523 or 530, ill say it again so you dont have to look: the reason Ikaros' armor is so powerful is because of the fact that she is a Warrior Valkyrie. Thus, she does not posess the telekinesis and other mental capacities -except for her intelligence- that Queen and King Valkyries have, but her combat potential surpass even Kirito and Gwen's. Notice how i said potential: she is not yet as strong as either of them, but that is primarily due to the fact that she does not know she is a Valkyrie, and therefore hasn't unlocked her true power.

As another note, i'll be drawing the Aepollon bow, Kirito's new sword Typhon, and Kirito himself soon. ))

I jumped at the sudden attack of the warriors. I grabbed my shield lute only to realize that I was not wearing my armor, rather my lab coat. "Sorry guys, looks like I wont be able to do much here!" I said as a started to run away as I wasn't interested too much is dying. "Ill come back in a minute! Your turn to block them for me Trivoc and chappers!"

@Kaijuhunter: Thanks, yes, I did notice that post. It's perfectly fine that Ikaros is weapon-oriented, and I don't mind that she is more combat-capable than Gwen or Kirito.

By the way, I was counting the valkyrie armor types: there's regular Valkyrie, Fallen, and Heavenly Iron. Heavenly Iron is the strongest of the three, while Valkyrie is more ceremonial than useful (what with its crippling fire weakness). Fallen seems stronger than Heavenly Iron until one realizes that the valkyries have a habit of throwing curses everywhere (like what Anubis did, except he's not a valkyrie). I'm thinking that Ikaros's armor is max-UV'd Heavenly Iron armor:

Ikaros' Heavenly Iron Helm/Armor (lvl 10)
8 bars normal
7 bars shadow
max curse resist
neutral shock (from max UV)
max fire resist (from max UV)
max poison resist (from max UV)

So, Ikaros cannot be 1) cursed by a shadow user, 2) damaged by fire, or 3) infected by Swarm.
))

Suddenly, Void forms began to pour into the warehouse. Arkus spotted them first, and called attention to them. "Guys, the Swarm is here! Battle positions!" He readied his Perun, and smacked the first Void creature that came close. It was one of the "twins," and it withstood the blow, but not without being shocked. Arkus backed off, charged the Perun, and when the twin went into shock again, Arkus let loose an overhead smash, putting it out of commission. The second twin lunged at him from behind, nearly breaking his armor and knocking him to the floor. He kicked off the twin and swung at it, but the twin ducked and knocked him down again. But this time, Arkus was ready and had drawn his parrying blade, which he plunged into the creature. The twin staggered back and dragged the other twin away.

But the battle was far from over.
