A brandish, with snarble names?
and first you say "Primary Damage: Pierce" but 2 lines down you put "Does only normal damage"?
And needs Snarbostuffing or Nightmare Manes?

How about NO.

Poison is a support status.

Brandishes are the farthest from support weapons we have.

Apparently it makes sense to put them together.

Something that I really hate about the Flourish/BTB series is the fact that the primary swipe is a pierce attack when that is not a piercing motion. I would hate to be a hypocrite and say that the swing attacks have any pierce component in them.

As far as the material. I figure that this would be a decent end-game weapon, after getting FoV, snarby gear, and everything else that's really worth anything. It's not like Snarbostuffing or Nightmare manes are difficult to get, they are just time consuming.

'it's not like... nightmare manes are difficult to get'

I think there are a lot of new players that would disagree with your judgement.
Also why are we even having weapons that use SL boss materials.

Why does we need more

Why does we need more snarbolax themed sword?

Poison is a support status... Like fire, ice, or shock? All status's are supposed to support their weapon and the teams that use them, an alternative would be to leave this sword naked, like Acheron.

Here's a crazy idea, let's create a brandish with a charge that freezes. Now have a freeze mechanic that breaks at the slightest nick. Let's say that the freeze event happens about 40-50% of the time, usually freezing a target in 1-3 explosions, the other 2-4 explosions continue past the target, and occasionally hit the target, breaking the ice. Oh wait... that's Glacius. I don't see how that makes any sense either.

So, explain again why putting poison on a brandish doesn't make sense. Here we have a damage nerf to the primary swings, which are the bread and butter of brandish attacks. A charge attack that has a decent chance of poison, which aside from Venom Veiler would be one of the highest poison infliction rates in the game. Usefulness aside, we're looking at an extremely unique weapon for FSC, which otherwise would be a suitable alternative to the toothpicks in Lockdown.

This sword is not aimed at new players - it's for veteran players who want a challenge, currently challenges run out quite quickly.

True, why do we need more of anything in this game? Let's just stop producing any content altogether. Since there is going to be a continual flow of new players, the developers shouldn't feel inclined to provide any challenges to keep the older players around.

Graveyard this thread.

Waste our time when you can type to other people as human beings.

How can you even put the words Brandish and challenge in the same sentence without exploding? Turns out you can't. Looks like I just exploded. Let's give one of the most overpowered weapons in the game four out of six statuses, and all three specialized damage types. Great idea!

4 out of 6 statuses? Geez, sometimes I forget how a fairly generic sword with a relatively generic charge attack can be so overused. That is a perfectly valid point not to implement this.

An Alternative that I've had, but it never gets enough attention; draw out the Cautery Blade to 5*, at least to make it interesting. Replace the charge explosions with Crystalline Shards (similar to the ones in that we hack down in clockworks) and just make it pure normal damage w/ no jelly damage bonus.

Aside that this is headed to 'Graveyard' faster than Che'; the 3* and 4* could be easily given the appearance of a shard cut from the back of snarby, and still operate in the same way described above.

Considering the lore of the BTS:
A mythical shield imbued with the fury of the Snarbolax itself. It's said the beast can use the glowing orbs on the shield's face to see and stalk weak-hearted wielders.

I think players need something to control a Snarby.

Brandish is a generic sword, and is a canvas for something like this, just sayin'.

Brandish already has FIVE upgrade lines.
Choose another weapon to clone brainlessly by tacking a status onto it.

The brandish isn't a generic sword. The Leviathan blade is a generic sword. The brandish is an overused sword, and is overused because it is overpowered and very easy to use. You can already get superb damage on four out of six weapon types and fair damage on the other two. There is absolutely no reason to give it another damage type line.

I think poison could be themed for more blades but crossing brandishes with Boss Token weapons would cause to much change...as Hexzyle said the brandish line has 5 upgrades available...and since boss token weapons can't be alchemised in there prime the loop hole would be WAY to big. Try Spur line upgrades...

Not only because this is a bad idea and SL mats are seerusly hard to come by. NOt to mention you thoroughly dissed most of the forumers trying to help you. Andd you do know there is something called combining chat because double posts make no sense whatsoever. And why would a brandish line have ANYTHING to do with the snarbolax? We're all asking nicely if you can just graveyard this, and maybe rethink your idea with your feedback, or present your idea in a different way.

Thank you, this is what I'm looking for. I forgot that spur is gimped without a 5*. Aside from it's extremely graceful look, it would be a perfect candidate for a boss-like weapon.

Hey four.

Just saying.

All support. But in sub sections:

Fire, shock, curse are offensive as generaly, they all cause DMG.

Sleep, Freeze, Stun, Poison are more suportive, not doing damage, but more causing debuffing efects.

Actually, I feel that shock is both offensive AND defensive because of the interruption. It also provides AOE making it an all rounded status
