The promo never actually ended, they just stopped advertising. I'd get it for the game anyway; it's the best classic Sonic game ever.

Yep. With steam, you're only checked if you own a game, not the method by which you obtained it.

Word of note: this thread originated from 2013, when it was very much still possible.
Since SEGA is no longer involved with Spiral Knights, purchasing the Sonic CD from Steam no longer grants the cross-promotional items.
The items still do and have shown up on the featured auctions, so you might be able to grab them in the future if you still desire them.
