Why does almost every single LD match I've ever played seems to be full of whining?

If only Spiral Knights had a more vast player base. Then we could have competitive leagues with proper ladders with prize tournaments. Unfortunately we just don't have the people to do anything on that scale. Plus the servers just aren't fair enough to handle anything of the sorts.
Myself personally would love to see casted games on stream, basically Shoutcasting while the commentators are given a spectator option.

Personally, I find these things annoying. I usually laugh at people that only spam/use AA/combo with AA, but after a while it gets a bit frustrating.

Ya I agree with Cano xD. Zephyrgon u got no idea wat ur talking about..
so many people who put down LD seem to have no clue what they are talking about.. then there are the pros who are self-centered and illogical.. If people want to use AA or spam, then it is their choice, you just need to get better at LD to let those people not bother you anymore... It is especially lame when pros act this way but whatever right? :P

I actually have an idea. I'm a better player than all of you. If you guys think that "teamwork" is a bunch of idiot clones spamming together, then you're gravely mistaken. Honestly, there's barely anyone i know of that can play with a demo.

Try to check out a pro guild vs guild LD match and see how they do things.. Just some idiots spamming does not mean teamwork and in Random LD that is what you will find most of the time.. That is why you have to be the intelligent one of the team most of the time and give them friendly suggestions.. but to put down LD just because of your experience is Random LD is laugh-worthy.
If you can't handle random people spamming then play Guild vs Guild LD with pro guilds.. that is IF you are good enough to make into one that is ;P
P.S. Your Arrogance/Ignorance reveals ur clouded judgments. You don't even know who we are in the game.. and Canozo is actually in the game with the same name and kicks ass in LD.. so what you say has little to no Worth. lol.

I use Ancient and you don't hear me complaining about a Skolver Fest. I use Winmillion and you don't hear me complaining about a Skolver-Fest. The thing is that there's not exactly a huge assortment of styles out there via weapons. All three-types of weapons have about four-five styles just with completely different elements and/or status. No matter what you use you're going to be ending up using one of the clone styles.
People just use the best optimized gear. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm not saying it's fun to be fighting the same type of loadout multiple times nor do I really support it, but if you have a problem with it why not try using your own style? Try using Dread Venom Striker or Winmillion! Try using Biohazard or Neutralizer! Try Leviathan Blade or something!
You have to remember that in any game that allows customization in PvP, you'll always see people playing as the most optimized loadout.

Go play League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth or Dota 2, this is no place for LD tournament.
SK was mainly PvE and they brought LD and BN because too much people whine there was no PvP. And now you want a tournament out of an unbalanced PvP?
What kind of logic is that.
Game tournament: Starcraft II, Starcraft II HoTS (Life won MLG Winter Championship last week-end), LoL, HoN, Dota2, CoD
But there were never a tournament in Spiral Knights... Sorry but this is not a competitive game. There is a mini-game under Spiral Knights that has "some" competition in it and it's Blast Network, not Lockdown. Lockdown is unbalanced. Blast Network is perfectly balanced.
Because it's 'competitive'. Name one game that doesn't have whining during a match.
