Separate loadouts for costumes only

I just counted, and all together, I have 80-90 different loadouts. Each loadout has different weapons and armor for various PvP/PvE situations. By contrast, I have one costume that I wear almost all of the time. This means that if I ever decide to change my costume, I have to re-make all 80-90 equipment loadouts for the new costume.

I would like to suggest that loadouts for costumes and game-affecting equipment be separated. You would save the costume loadouts in a separate tab. The costume would be applied to any equipment you are wearing at the time. The procedure to fully change loadouts under the new system would be as follows:

  1. Apply my equipment loadout that does not contain a costume
  2. Apply my costume loadout

So to change costumes, I would just have to create 1 new costume loadout, rather than 80-90 loadouts that include all of my equipment, too.

I should mention one alternative to the separate costume loadout tab: change the way loadouts are applied in general. Currently, when a loadout is applied, all slots (costumes, weapons, armor) are changed, regardless of whether the loadout contains any empty slots.

An easy fix: only apply the loadout to slots that are non-empty. So if a player is currently wearing a costume, and they apply a loadout that contains empty costume slots, don't remove the player's costume. The same would apply for empty weapon/armor slots in a loadout -- don't remove the weapon/armor that is currently equipped in that slot.

Loadouts are quite fickle in my opinion.

I kinda like being able to swap to loadouts with emptied weapon slots though, in case I need to quickly/lazily give the impression that I didn't join a party to participate, just to trade with one of the people there or something.

Also, awesome job being prepared with all those loadouts.

The loadout system needs a rework. Being able to "inherit" from other loadouts and only change the few pieces you care about in the new loadout would be a much cleaner way of organizing it.

Couldn't you just equip the original loadout, change the pieces you want and save it as a new one?

if I have 95 loadouts, I would have to do it 95 times. think about it.
