They just put this up on... well pretty much all of their social media stuff, as usual.

We're very happy with the new look and new features. Can't wait to drop it into everyone's hands!
Looks amazing, screw anyone who says it doesnt look right. Matches the art style perfectly! I love it.
Sort of mixed opinions about this...
I hope there's an option to use the old UI. This new one's going to take a fair bit of getting used to...
At least there's health bars for enemies and the damage type the enemies deal/are weak to for newbs.
Agreed.
It looks cool and all, just it's really different. Might want to let players ease into it at their own pace.
Looks so much more like a MMORPG. :O
9/10, needs improvment
It looks like we can open and close those tabs' tabs (you know what I mean, those lines of arsenal icons and stuff), hide the amount of money? And Shield Health parameter(-ish thing)? That's nice.
I'm curious about the location of chat and size of party members' health bars though.
Honestly I'm not for the boss health bar. It either makes people give up fast when they are all dead but the boss is still close to full health, or makes them spend energy to revive when they are all dead but the boss is close to death.
But actually it looks pretty nice :o (Except the player icon being too big)
IDE also like to know how chat will work, Also I would like to see if there's a better way to reach gatemap, and one last thing, a better mailing system *cough* guild mail *cough* being able to see curent guild info ever time you log on is nice but being able to send detailed messages is better.
This looks okay, needs a bit of buffing around the edges. Although I for some reason can't shake the feeling that this is the cruelest April fools joke ever. Quick edit: oh and yeah, old UI option please.
Looks pretty great. I'd like an option to hide the Health Bars. Don't really need them.
Eugh, that's a lot busier than the nice, flat two-tones we currently have. And the new consumable icons look like something out of a student project. I'd take the old UI over that, even if it has less information.
If you're working on a new HUD, could you fix the bug where mousing over HUD elements with the HUD locked doesn't update your character's facing? It also causes you to become stuck facing one direction if you start charging an attack with the mouse over the UI.
Well, according to the post, it says this near the end of it:
You'll get to experience it for yourself soon!
Based on how long it has been (The past few months), we may see a release in the next few weeks/days. Or we may see a 2nd anniversary release, with the new UI, and also Battle Sprites apart of it. But this is just a prediction.
As nice as the new user interface is, the old one has this strange appeal to me; it's very classic-esque in appearance. While that isn't to say this new one is absolutely gorgeous, I'd like an option to toggle between them. But who knows, I might start liking the new one!
The only thing I can't agree with is the display of weakness underneath the Monster's name. We went to Biotech Hahn to learn this information; it'd be kinda redundant to have it be plastered on every monster's healthbar.
The "weakness: shadow" being in a different (and more plain) font than everything else bugs me.
Other than that, I like it, especially the enemy health bars.
(Also, a different, larger mark on the minimap for the boss would be nice)
People don't listen to Hahn; I still see 5* players asking me what damage types to bring to a level.
indeed, I would like to be able to see the mails I have sent and copy the texts.
Yes, it looks pretty nice as I said in previous post but the left top part is too big tbh, cant the health bar and the icon be a bit more smaller and modest lol With party members, it's gonna be so busy
And what Thinslayer said.
oh great, block all four corners of the screen so I can't see stuff clearly in LD. is there an option to have NOTHING on the screen besides your healthbar? That'd be great, thanks.
Also, does that knight have like 5 hp or does he have 20? Losing hp goes from left to right or what? right to left like right now?
The health bar increases with red pips and then overlaps with armored silver pips and then finally gold.
Can we switch between HUDS?
TBH, i dislike the new one ...
April 2013: health bars
May 2013: another batch of reskins
June 2013: Spiralmon
July 2013: Spiralmon cosmetics
August 2013: maybe a new danger mission or yet another batch of reskins
September 2013: Tortodrone
October 2013: same Halloween event
November 2013: when an enemy is in the attack animation, displays the amount of bars in bright red lights over the enemy the exact amount of damage it will deal to you and in which damage types as well as status(es) it may inflict
December 2013: generic normal weapon damage buff by 20%, everything is still imbalanced
This is entirely prediction and not based on spoilers I am aware of.
Unhappy new year to you all.
Looks great, but it feels like a large jump. Probably should have saw more graphical updates coming when the weapon visual features were added. As far as appearance, the bottom left/right bar and buttons look fine. The mini-map has a vast improvement - more shiny and appealing. I don't have much to say about switching the vial/pill icons to 3 dimensional, but, like I implied, I'm just too uncomfortable about this.
What really aggravates me is the top left and monster notification. I'm going to assume this is still a work-in-progress (i.e., not part of Aprils assumed update), so I don't want to be critical about it. Though, the transition from solid tones to gradients all over the place is also bothering me endlessly.
I'm not entirely a fan of the enemy health bars either. Feels like part of the game is chipped off with them. Does this update make the game feel less unique? It hardly impacts anything major, but it has some of the bland MMO taste mixed in.
...Great work, though.
I like the new UI. I like that it shows the relative health of nearby monsters and the precise health of your knight. I also appreciate the smaller and streamlined interface. In fact, I'd say that it was a brilliant move to put it at the bottom, because since we can see best in the northern direction, we tend to move to the bottom and aim at the top. Since we will be aiming at the top, we don't want to accidentally click anything not combat-related. It's also fabulous that the enemies are shown on the minimap; it makes the thing more useful than it currently is.
Have you noticed how 2 of the health bars are out of place, pointing to nothing.
It seems like there's a shield hp gauge right under the hp gauge. I'm looking forward for that.
Y'all made it fast and slick and shiny! Something to get used to, but not terrible.
Most of it looks good, but I gotta say, I don't like those new vial and pill icons. The 3-D style used for them doesn't match any of the existing items' icons, and it's a bit clashing to me. I'd prefer to have the old icons for them.
And yeah, like others have said, I'm interested to know if we'll be able to toggle those monster health bars from appearing. For that matter, would you be able to see enemy players' health bars in Lockdown?
Otherwise everything in the concept seems like a big improvement - less screen real estate, hide-able buttons, etc. I'm excited to see where this goes!
The new UI is really neat and all, and I'm really looking forward to this, but, something important has yet to be brought to attention here.
Why does the knight have a +13 vitapod?
That... is... a good question. There are only even number vitas. Did they accidentally reveal something new??? Maybe, but it's not that important.
He's unlucky enough to be caught in a combo with all those jellies surrounding him.
@Dmatter: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Vitapod <- Vitapod page clearly shows a 27.
Keep in mind that some of the vitapods displayed in the wiki are discontinued from the beta and/or only obtainable through a Game Master spawn command.
Looks tacky. Lots of useless information: when are you ever going to check shield health in the middle of a battle? Rectangular UI buttons are gross. New pills/vials look ugly. Health bars + enemy information are ridiculous, stupid and makes it feel like any other regular, crappy MMO. Loss of rotating gears with the UI is a shame.
Rating: Hate it.
Just TRY going through a SL without finding a 21 vita.
Anyway, considering that damage numbers are hide-able, I think health bars will be too.
I may quit!
.....Seriously, I'll go on a hiatus.
Nick pls stop. No more UI reworks. Too many reworks.
What is it even with you guys and UIs?
Artist: Man I got nothing to do since they are still implementing the other stuff I made
Nick: Choose one: [Rework tutorial] [Rework UI]
Artist: OKAY THEN
No but seriously, the new UI clashes with the rest of the artstyle real bad. Like, I know the UI is supposed to be visible, but tone it down a bit.
PS: Actual UI features that everyone wants is chat tabs, resizing the chat window, customizing chat colors, being able to give people specific colors, etc.
Welp. Seems as though people's reactions declined quickly.
I like chocolate milk. It's decenttt. However, I think having one for a shield is pointless when you see the color of your shield already changing colors in game. I see arrows next to the bottom UI segments, does that mean we can minimize them? That would be really nice, imo. Take off those bottoms! lol
New HUD looks promising. I particular like the move of the health bar to upper left (easier to spot). A little worry about the vial / pill shortcut bar because for mouse users, it's easier to drag down (so we can drop vials / pills) than drag up because for wired (gaming) mice, the cables are at the top of the mice.
There are a couple more small things that I hope would also be fixed:
Ui rework? Great! Will we be able to see ping as a number now?
It'd be awesome if we could customize the colors a bit too and UI scale slider wouldn't hurt either
Could it be possible to be able to save chatlogs? Our guild meetings would be so much easier to organize if we could check votes and all that nonsense afterwards
it looks nice altho the tiny jellys really dont need to crowd the mini map with their weak little bodys..
I support the option to have a switch to the old UI.
No offense, I do like some of the new things on this new UI like the shield gauge and the enemy/boss health but apart from that, I absolutely HATE this new UI. It just feels so... generic and mismatching (and I hope the screen doesnt get too cluttered in levels with a lot of enemies). I fell in love with the old UI with it's flat colors and icons from the moment I first saw, it has a style of its own... the bevel in the new one is not winning me any time soon.
Nordic-Oten and Milkman sum up my opinion of it better then I could say it!
I think this looks alright. I'd like to be able to dink around with it though.
The knight icon and health is WAY too big and like milkman said, the vials are ugly and the loss of gears is a shame. The shield HP thing is nice but kind of unnecessary considering the color system already in place. Also it's hard to see.
I do like being able to see the enemies on the minimap, Health Bars, and enemy info
I just hope you'll be able to customize the size and placement of everything and a better chat UI
Definitely needs some tweaking but not bad overall
While I don't really think the UI needed a rework, this is all right. It's about as good as the current UI in most ways.
My only real complaint with it is the health bar positioning in a place that's further away from the knight. Keeping an eye on your health is going to be bothersome this way, especially now that the health bar is more complex and requires more direct looking-at to actually read it when you're at low values of health (aka when you care about looking at the health bar).
Sorry if I'm wrong, but I thought that the devs were working on NEW content, not reworking stuff that doesn't need to be changed at all. This is kind of dissapointing, after waiting for so long in anticipation for Battle Sprites and Swarm enemies, but Swarm we haven't known about for that long. Overall, I don't think this update is needed.
Looks like they actually listened to the suggestion of having health bars.
