This is unexpected. This event came one day earlier than last year. I also thought that the UI wasn't going to come out until the swarm monsters did.
Oh well at least we get it now.

It's great that the caketastrophe event will be returning; I joined about a month after the first one so I never got to experience it. I also can't wait to see how this new UI works out.
The updated vitapod behaviour does raise quite a few concerns though. Considering how the old one no longer drops, this could cause certain players to struggle more if any of the other party members are selfish and 'hog' all the vitapods. Because I tend to let others have them because I don't feel much of a need for them, I will now likely fear picking them up. This is just my opinion on the subject. Agree? Disagree?
Will boss HP be displayed, as well as their weaknesses and streingths? Cause that seems just too easy at this point.
Sure, starting out you have to know these things by heart or you'll be dead. But this is making it a cakewalk for everybody.
But not knowing enemies HP and stuff makes the game more of a challenge! You'll have to look at the wiki or the HELP PAGE (F1 much?) so you'll know it, not that hard to remember.
Will enemy HP and placement be shown for LD?
How much has devilites been nerfed?

MAKE VITA'S DROPPABLE AGAIN!
The problem is that if someone with a +12 walks over a +15, his ally won't be able to pick the left over +12 again.
Now we all have 1 ticket to be jerks per run.
Also I always drop vitapods at the end of a level so I don't get hearts at the prize wheel :(
I was happy until I saw that devilites were nerfed.

The vitapods will still automatically drop if you run over a higher number one, so, other party members can pick them up. The only change is that you can't manually remove the vitapod from your knight.
My rant about hearts on prize wheel remains. Was my way to cheat the system.
I'm totally with you bro this way of changing is horrible. Why is this the solution, ppl complain about devilites being challenging, solving problem nerf them this is not the SOLUTION and what's your problem with the pods they ware good as they ware. "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

yo why are people that have been playing for like over 6 months surprised they don't have problems against most enemies? just remember your first couple of times in tier 3, i know i had a hell of a time. devilites give most regular players a hard time and i think they should be nerfed. like if you've been playing this game over a year and devilites still give you trouble (at least they do me), don't you think that's a problem?

I for one am happy to see those little Devilite buggers nerfed! 15 of them in a small room is too hard, no matter what my loadout is. If you have a problem with that, leave your shadow gear in the closet, and bring your Acheron, oh, and stop complaining, not everyone is as good as you are.
I am also disappointed about not be able to drop vitapods... sometimes I pick one up by mistake, when I should have given it to a teammate who requires more health than I do. Not a fan of this change.
I have not played since the update, so I cannot comment on much else.
Over a year, nerfs have been administered.
Wolvers used to track.
Retrodes were scary upfront and had a faster laser.
Zombies swipes were the same.
Jelly King/Royal Jelly was a noob killer.
Phantoms has a faster cooldown.
Enemies didn't stand around asoon as they spawned.
And other stuff.
And now, there are pets.
While I am generally against monster nerfs, the devilite 'balances' don't sound too bad. The dodging can get a little obnoxious when they chain several dodging actions together and the projectile hit box does seem to extend a bit beyond the animation, so as long as the changes are moderate...
i like the map tho, looks dope. everything else (especially the capsule area and top-left) looks pretty awful. 2/10
Reason why we are scared is because of how "Moderate" the nerfs are.
The nerf is ok, but, the UI, god i hate when no one listens the playerbase much on these things or rather do but very late responses are made.
Too bad I can't drop vitapods anymore. I wanted to manually drop them for players that need them. I guess I have to avoid picking up vitapods then huh? But I can't wait to get online to check out how the new User Interface plays out!

I got heart pendant that means my health cap is higher,accedently take vita 12 with one of my party member only got 2 heart lower then the base heart on that stratum so i give to him.
accidantly got 15 while already got 12 i give 15 to him and take 12.
vita can't be drop now birth the mind of "i need to grab the vita fast who care about other party anyway"

Zombie swipes were the same? I hope you mean that they were the same as Retrodes in that their melee attacks were considerably faster and tracked.
Pretty much. Now solo is the only way to make someone survive from excessive amounts of hits.

Freakn event all u hav to do is grind the clockworks day and night to get everything on the list? really? omfg -.- I got exams so I cant take advantage of it.. nor do I have an elevator pass but dang this sucks I hate grinding games and reducing the rarity of something as awesome as sprinkle aura.... -.-
Ya also makn the game so easy and shiny.. is this game turning out to be just for little kids who like to play with action figures? Also if it reduces the lag better change from the Java to something better before putting in more codes or whatever into this and making it more of a laggy 3D game.

Updates are slow because of the sheer amount of people downloading it. I wish they'd use Steam for updating but they haven't used that function in over four months.
I know, and I do wish that OOO would actually utilize Steam. :I
Use Ubuntu or another GNU/Linux OS. Updates take 2 minutes.

How do I go back to the past UI?
I'm running the linux client and now everything seems a bit laggy everywhere. It did not feel like this before the patch. It feels alot like when I am on the windows client(steam or web client) and those things are horrible on an outdated computer.
That chatbox is too much in the way of everything and the UI seems to be very cluttered(text, weapons, etc, etc.) I hope there's an option in the near future for the classic UI.
I think the graphical lag and the shaking seems to get me the most though.
Robots have no emotions so, you're not praising or feeling like vomiting.
Or crying.
Please revert name colors back, that is annoying as hell.
Please take the knight/shield health bar away in haven, unless you can use weapons in haven please remove it.
PLEASE, Get rid of that hideous weapon scrolling "thing", as it is annoying.
Please revert vials back to there normal look.
Please get rid of the shield bar, it's not necessary.
In the event that you refuse to do any of the above, please make an option for us to use the old UI.

Yes, the UI is a pain for some pcs and some who run on lower graphical resolutions get the UI in the middle of the screen
Restore the old UI, this one is just a tangled mess! Or give the people option to switch between UIs.
I assume this is only a problem for users with a small screen, then? I have 1280x1024 or something...I forget.

Not if you were playing since 2011, inb4 nerf, the swipe would track and was 3x faster, their lunge did not hurt, but instead stopped you while they nommed on your head.
