I was trawling through the SK wiki and found that the Recon Cloak's Death Mark removes all defense. Does this apply to status damage? If so you could get two team members, preferably both recons and one with a Shivermist, and one applies the death mark to people while the other lays down Shivermists. If the Death Mark goes through statuses as well, then the attacker would be frozen in place, and if played correctly, potentially for the rest of the match.
The Recon Rebirth?
Recon's innate status reduces CTR on bombs. All you have to do is deathmark a skolver and freeze him once. You can refreeze with (I believe) even a normal shivermist without a UV for CTR, using only the CTR given by recon and stunlock them indefinitely.
I dont know why people don't DO it though. With a team of decent recons, you can shut down an entire team while a free 'con sits on points. easily.
I mean, have you seen the "glacier on a stick" Lockdown gameplay video? A skolver got frozen and a striker had time to charge and land a TRIGLAV on him.
A. TRIGLAV. Ctred or not, there should be more than enough time to shiver a skolver until time runs out. And with all the focus strikers put on heart trinkets, There should be little worry of them going anywhere anytime soon.
I don't think it works for status damage, but the last time I was around, recons who knew how to deathmark fluidly while fighting were rare anyway.
DM's effect is so useful though : `
It cuts through defences is what I know.
So that being, maybe, possibly, Deathmark removes armour's status resistances. Worth a test?
If that's also the case...
... will it remove negative status resists as well?
It does not remove status defense. Believe me I've tried.
It doesn't happen with poison so I don't see why it'd happen with death mark.
That being said, someone please test it.
