Does anybody know the payout breakdown for each of the shadow lairs? That is, average crown payout, SL mat trade price, and I suppose the boss tokens as well. In a 4 man with the key split, are shadow lair runs profitable? I realize that this probably was determined already, but the data isn't on the wiki as far as I know, and the forum search engine is a little funky as we all know.
On a side note, how quickly can the 3 JK levels be soloed?
Are we talking about a JK speed run, skipping every room or obstacle possible and spamming acheron charges?
Or something a bit more realistic?
I'd give an averege of 15 minutes.
3 JK runs gives about 7.5k in total.
The shadow lair payout is around 11k, including a mat.
I've been collecting data on time and payouts of various missions, for one of my projects. I solo Royal Jelly Palace in about 20 minutes. That's with 5-star gear, but it doesn't do much more damage than 3-star gear in Stratum 4, and I do stop to get every single crown I can. In other words, that time should be fairly typical, and not any kind of record. The payouts vary between 2,400 and 2,700 for three levels. This figure does not including the three Jelly Gems, which are worth an additional 700 crowns, and any Primal Sparks you might get, which are worth 100 crowns each.
Sadly, I've never bothered to record data on my Shadow Lair runs.
By the way, to search the Spiral Knights forums, just use Google (or Bing or whatever). Google searches them well.
It's just for crafting, don't waste your time on it if you don't plan to make snarby or something.

450 ce is about 31950 crowns (assuming ce is 7100 per 100)
I already made snarby a while back so I wouldn't be doing it for crafting. It looks like we're talking an average of 10k raw crowns, 6 tokens (1500 cr maybe) and possibly 25k for the mat. That gives 36500 and minus flowcharts 31950, that's a profit of less than 5k. For a whole lot more effort o.O And of course, not giving much room for revs if you're hoping for a profit. That's...sad.

Shadow Lairs are a challenge, for people who have become bored with the rest of the game. View them as a fun experience, not as a way to make money, and you will be happy (until you get bored with them too, I guess).

I do collect a lot of data, but they're scattered. Some of my data are given over to Lancer Knightz. The data that I've mentioned in this thread may appear in a new guide that I'm working on, if I ever finish it. My data on monster health were made obsolete by the UI change and the subsequent efforts of Zeddy and his helpers. I have data on UV rates, but other people have much more data. And so on. In short, I publicize data (and guides) only when I'm satisfied that they're thorough and high-quality.

I did UFSC yesterday and got 14k cr + mat. Solo in less than 1 hour. Takes just a little more than FSC
Not certain, I've got a screen shot of an OCH payout on my home comp but I'm not home at the moment, but I think its around 5500cr.
It's bad, trust me. 10-14k on average + the price of the mat.
Subtract the gains by 450ce and you just wasted a great deal of time.
