OOO should work on a moddable UI so everybody could personalize their own UI (yes it will take some time but at the end, I think this is the best solution)

With pre-made square/rectangle section and adjustable sizes (with a minimal and max length/height) that would include these sections:

Chat zone

General icons (menu, mail, social, news icons)

Personal icons (arsenal, loadouts, character icons)

HP bar / Status effect icons

Vials/Vitapod

Enemy HP/Weakness

CE/ME/CR indicator (like the energy box we have now with a row added over ME for cr)

Where Arsenal/Loadout/News/Social pops (could have it on the left for a change or even have a horizontal system? like having 2-3 items per column and have multiple row for showing items (in sections) using like 10% of the upper/bottom screen (like the Arsenal length basically) and having vertical section instead of horizontals, just shift the whole thing side-way)

Knight Portrait

And having the choice to take whatever WE feel like off. Like if I have to record I can hide my CE/ME/CR away.. If people play LD they can have specific UI for it. Or even take everything away and have a nice clean view. Blind mode would appear, not having your HP around for our Hardcore fans ;)

And beyond that, we could have custom savable/loadable UI. Kinda like we have loadouts...

I know it has been suggested before but IDK if it was done in this clear, detailed way. I think it's worth a shot and it would please everybody. Although it would need a little tutorial at the beginning of the game and at the patch release.... hmmmm if it ever happens just mail me and I'll do eet ;)

A simple way to solve all the UI-related problems. There should be some pre-made ones, and we should be able to change section's style: old HP bar + new CE indicator + new map + new vials/vitapod, for example.

The only problem is they would have to rewrite the ToS to allow for modification of things. And if you're not talking about that, then this.

I'd say wait for battle sprites. They might bring even more hud elements.
You don't want to make the perfect UI, only for it to be rendered obsolete within next month.

my 2 cents

@ Klipik thanks for the link, will read it later. Well changing the ToS would also be an opportunity to clean up the ToS a bit too? :D

@ Little-Juances If Battle Sprites comes with extra UI element then they would simply be added to the list of "rectancle/boxes" you can move along the screen. Maybe the Battle Sprites won't even add UI element?

We know we have the F9 shortcut to see their spread sheet... Other than that :S

There should be some pre-made ones, and we should be able to change section's style: old HP bar + new CE indicator + new map + new vials/vitapod, for example.

@ Perume Yes there should a default one but *personally* I wouldn't want OOO to let us have too much freedom too, reverting "sections" to the old UI is a bit too much of work for them IMO. I want this to be as realistic as possible and the simplest too.

I don't want anything fancy with borders and gradiants and flower pattern... All I want is to be able to move pre-setted rectangles/square and adjust the size accordingly. And place those anywhere I want. SK is a cluster-**** of pages.

Press F6, F7, L, I then hit P. You can't see squat now, you have like 5-10% of the screen that isn't occupied... + you can press M to open missions, but it doesn't really count in this example.

Side note: Thanks for the feedbacks ^ ^
