What are you doing? I was in fiendish arena and what i got in the last wave in the last room, right, greavers. Is it possible to kill them in solo without revives? They are too fast and surround you in a one second, twelve buffed shocking/stunning greavers.
I'll give 500ce to first player who will post video where he kill that greavers(shock, stun) without dies in solo(tier 3). You can visit them on depth 21 of Amber falcon gate.
It's not funny.
Hurp...use a Shivermist, Ash of Agni, or Shock Haze. Any of those will shut them down in an instant.
If you know the spawns of arenas you can predict what wave is coming. Be in a corner before that wave hits, then just spam the first hit of a FF/BTB, or any other sword with a large first swing.
~Gwen
Some reason I feel like a vortex drop and a brandish charge would solve everyone's problems.
Just made it with suda and ironslug.
Try to keep one lumber alive before last wave, and then finish him and run to corner with any sword, just as Gweny said.
One thing is really annoy, it is *khm*"Great Gluttonous Gorgos!"*khm*. Somebody fix them please. Move poor, fight poor, made poor. They are too stupid to be in this game, really.
And this is what actually isn't funny.
My 500 ce noobie... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6PiKpHlrT4&feature=youtu.be

Twelve of the fiddly little [REDACTED]s. Ouch.
It's best if you have multiple people for something like that; a Voltaic Tempest or Shivermist Buster bomber combined with a Final Flourish or Barbarous Thorn Blade Swordsman would make short work of the Greavers (where you can substitute these for the 4* version if you must, or the 2* or 3* version if you're still Tier 2) but one person has a lot of trouble with a swarm of them. Gunners might actually have a lot of issues with Greavers, though Antiguas' large clips and Alchemers' ricochet might win the day; again, having another guy is a huge help.
There were probably Silkwings, too, it being an arena and all, but I don't think there would have been much time for Venom Veiler. Remember your vials; a large swarm of Greavers is one occasion where a Sleep Vial might actually be useful. And yeah, a Vortex+Brandish Charge would probably wipe out a good portion of them; the Combuster and Voltedge lines would be more likely to kill them off with the extra damage while the Glacius line would hold them in place for another Vortex.
If you are complaining that fiend arenas are too hard then read nicks quote.
"It's also worth pointing out that arenas are not designed to be fully completed by every player. Each of the first two battle rooms follow with an exit. The second and third battle rooms are optional challenges with the latter designed to be a battle of considerable difficulty."
Challenge accepted.
Contri's video should not be qualified because he was using scrub gear for babies and probably trinkets too. I'll show you how to do it with mad bomber and shard bombs. C'mon, Polaris? That's like playing Gunstar Heroes on easy with the homing laser.
Little-Juances, what are you talking about?
@Zeddy I just wanted the ce noobie, pay me more and I will do it with worse gear...
@Contri That video was good!
@Zeddy So your saying you wouldn't get surrounded?
@Little-Juances Well the name was creative.
@Dont-Read-It Ya know there are people that don't even visit the foums.
After all those time I would hope someone else than me can face 20 greavers w/o problem
*wait for greaver to charge*
*greavers charge*
*swing*
*some greavers stop charging*
*blocks rest of greavers*
*move a bit so the status cloud doesn't hit*
*swing*
*block*
*wait for greaver to charge*
rinse/repeat
Now you can face 100 greavers at once.
Once they charge at you, you hit them and they stop attacking. They are like the easiest fiend mobs to deal with (from my POV)
Edit: Funny enough, there is a strategy on how to beat Greavers on the SK wiki that explains how to deal with em :D
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Greaver
just scroll at the bottom :D
It's not funny. It's hilarious.
Interestingly enough, another thread had roughly the same complaint. Nick replied and said that the third arena is not for everyone which is why there's the option to finish the stage before this bunch of greavers. Learn from your mistakes, don't take on a hard challenge expecting to come out alive if you aren't certain you can handle it. As a thumb rule, check if it's a fiend stage. If it is, you need good gear and good skill.
What I'm enjoying here is that people complain about how the dashing and bashing would make the game too easy yet we've seen more than one thread complaining about recently buffed enemies.
@Zeddy
You win another internet if you do this. Also make sure to do it in Stratum 6.
Is it bad I find gorgos are twice as bad as Greavers? Maybe it'd be even more bad if they threw in a bit of shock, because they shock you again when your shield is down and repeat. Perhaps the extra devilites throwing shock stuff at you makes it even more bad. Sorry, did I mention it was bad?
Ehrm... Yeah well I can't do it so no comment here, but in my opinion greavers are nowhere the pain of gorgos...
Hm.
Here's my primary tactic for arenas -and- danger rooms, and it stops me from being dogpiled by twenty greavers at once as well. At least when I'm solo. I haven't met anyone else in game that realizes this is how the spawning mechanics of these areas work, so I'd have to stop and explain it every time. Not worth it.
Arenas and danger rooms, a well as some 'arena' like areas in boss runs, actually have two distinct spawning waves. It's not one big wave. It's two separately tracked waves, and one wave can continue without the other. Essentially, you can exhaust one wave by keeping the last member of the other wave alive till nothing else spawns. Then you kill him and let his wave keep going. Like in Jelly Runs, you can keep one gun puppy alive and kill everything else as they spawn. Eventually nothing of the wave you have been killing is left, and the Gun Puppy's wave is still stalled cause he never died. A little bullet dodging isn't that bad, all in all. compared to being dogpiled by a thousand slimes at once.
Worked with the greaver arena too. Half of those greavers are a separate wave. They don't come in the same wave. So you can deal with half of them first by stalling one of the two waves. I did it again with other people, and we got slaughtered in the same exact fight I soloed without problems. Simply because no one else was aware of arena spawning rules.
I'm sorry to double post, but I have no idea how to make that sound less confusing. I'll try, though.
You have Wave A and Wave B. Both A and B spawn at the same time at the start of a fight in an arena or danger room, but each wave progresses separately from there. If the members of A all die, Wave A moves on from stage ONE to stage TWO. Meanwhile, B can still be on stage ONE with no issues. You can force Wave A to exhaust itself till only B's various stages remain. So long as a member of a wave is alive, the wave won't progress.
All arenas and danger rooms follow this rule. Some arenaish areas on boss runs, like the final locked room before fighting Jelly King proper, follow the same rules as well. Though some areas in FSC are more.. complex.. and you can't depend on this strategy to save yourself. One area in FSC citadel seems to have four waves. A, B, C, and D. Only C and D don't spawn till BOTH A and B are fully exhausted. So you still have to kill that one last zombie and let those trojans try to ram their sword up your butt as a family. Though you can still force C and D to progress separately if you can keep track of which enemies belong to C an D waves. Good luck with that, though.
WTF leave PVE for the noobs. And if you want play repetitive and predictible crap, buy yourself a WII.
A storm of rage incoming
As if capturing points on the same maps and shooting other players with a polaris or vh ASI floruish while always wearing the same max shock max pierce skolver isn't repetitive.
http://media.spiralknights.com/wiki-images/5/59/Super_Brawl_Crown-Equipp...
Take it and go away from that thread.
How's shardbombing Vana going? Still not able to do it?
@Contri
So what you're saying is you weren't sure you'd be able to do it without heart trinkets and Polaris. Gotcha.
I find it funny that the title is a solution to rage posting.
@Zeddy I can do it if I want but if I don't win money I'm not gonna waste my time.
I'd use vortex, and splinter shards... and a stun haze possibly. And backed up with a triglav for those need-to-strike-now-cant-get-a-charge-in-time moments.
but yeah , I probably couldnt do it solo no revs ^^'
You're simply continuing the same response against the question. Question was, "why did you need that gear?/do you really need that gear to do it if you're soooo pro?"
Read your responses, you ask for more money, sure, but last I checked, when an elitist is challenged to do something, the easiest thing for them to do is perform the challenge and let their skills do the talking... Removes a lot of need for bickering.
Besides, as if you need more CE for getting more stuff to farm ld scrubs with.
People of action will make far more progress if they close their mouths and just do.
@Skold-etcetc I don't need the gear but I don't have to prove anything noobie... I know I'm in a different level and I only do things if I win something...
LOL u guys r taking Contri seriously? He is not good at LD wen he claims to be pro.. and I doubt he is any better in PvE.. so erm.. ya quit feeding the troll xD
@Dragonicblaze I'm not good at LD? I'm not good at PvE? hahaha..... I'm the best and I love when noobies like you talk about me!! Keep talking please!!
PS: Who are you? I know you?
U dont know me, because I am one and many. BUT I know you and others.
I'll give you 1000ce if you stop bothering PVE noobs.
Let them play... they need to feel good about something you know... Shardbombing...lol
Feller, when someone only focuses at being good at a small portion of the game and not the whole thing, that tells you something about that person...
whee yay im so good at LD i can kill stuffz cuz i have trinkets and OP stuff and dis game is so unblanaced its easy it makes me feel like i have skillz oh no i cant kill vana with shardbombs which is legit hard i'll just make fun of the guy who can cuz obviously pve is for noobz. :)
Contri's gonna just continue down his track, and thread has been derailed enough. Obviously the OP's felt that his challenge has been met if someone got his CE, bet another asi'd flourish or Faust hits the market soon enough cause pvp'er is so pro.
Thanks for comin around.
Hosea about a strategy for some who uses guns and bombs I feel left out....
Contri, bring me my pokedex to see who that guy is...
And make me a coffe as well..
I haven't tried it by myself (waste of revive energy), but I know I cleared that last wave in less than a minute with a full party of only toothpick users. Mine was level 3 at the time.
Hint: ASI helps.
Contri, who in the world are you?
I know Feller because I once sold him a Storm Driver ASI Very High.
I've been here since launch. Not the oldest player, but one of them. Don't really know you at all, and my guild never talks about you. Are you supposed to be a big deal?
Do elaborate.
I don't know who are you too... You don't have to know me and I don't have to know you, I know I'm the best and I don't need the opinion of noobies, I don't need screenshots or only go for damage in LD to boost my ego... You probably only know the noobies who do that and think they have skill when they only have ego and AT...
Although people in this thread sound egotistic, greavers are actually REALLY easy to deal with.
method 1:
Drops a shiver
chaarges a blitz
instakill everything.
Repeat
Method 2:
Let them charge at you, swing with a flourish
they're interrupted. interrupt the other ones around you.
start swinging like crazy
repeat
Method 3:
Drop a shivermist
Drop a DBB
kite them with DBB
/laugh at them
Method 4:
run into spikes
do method 1,2,3 with 1 hp
/laugh at them
Method 5:
die
Rage rev
die again
rage rev
die again
rage rev
die again
rage rev
Repeat
(note: the ce explosion will kill em after like 500 revs)

@contri "I know I'm the best" You really think that you are better than magnus and vokster?
@ OP I am going to try doing a stratum 6 shock fiend arena when I can. I have tried soloing them many times with a vog cub coat a vog cub cap, a voltedge an AP and an Aegis. My uv's are Ctr low on voltedge which doesn't help much and charge time reduction medium on AP which is useless in an arena due to the small space. I have gotten close to doing it before. I will show you that you can do it without the right gear.
P.S After watching contri's video I want to heart trinkets to be nerfed badly. They are crazy OP.
@OP
Give me 1kce and I'll do it in chaos set, no trinkets, proto shield <3
@Contri
You really have no idea how many people have claimed that title.
Keep drowning in your misplaced perceptions. We'll keep laughing at you.
I find my guildmates to be very capable Lockdown players who are (generally) quite humble. They're incredible team players. There is no best Lockdown player, because Lockdown isn't a single player game (get this? it's why I find your statements confusing). There are teams, and teams win games. Not single players.
Learn to play.
@OP
Best solution is probably a Dark Briar Barrage, a Shivermist Buster, a Flourish/Barb, or (much more risky) a Blitz charging gunner. Tier 3 fiend strata are highly challenging when soloed, I recommend you at least duo them with a utility bomber...(shivermist or voltaic tempest)
@Leafblader Yes I'm better than them but Vokster is good too... Magnus and Chris only were rich noobies... specially Chris.
@Etendue Yes, is a team game, and in Bestias we have the best team with the best players... Your guild is EoS, Spampire or AAequitas right?
Bestias. Is that what you call yourselves now? I swear that guild reforms every two months. I never knew why :U
Jampirate forever.
Also, does Bestias still run an all striker team?
Got you some free ce here!
But seriously, welcome to the Arcade.
