Ahoy! I've been seeing lot's of dual wielding topics, so I thought I would just post my own which people probably could never disagree with!
Simply, some weapons would become dual wielding weapons. This wouldn't disrupt your shield, because you still have it on.
- Cutter series (excluding Wild Hunting Blade)
The user would get a smaller version of the main sword. He/she would swing this for the ghost swing. Simple, eh? - Thorn Blade series
This is a not-so-cosmetic change. The only reason I'm doing this is because currently, except for the charge, they are 100% like the Final Flourish and previous versions. You have to agree that this is a little bland, eh? I say it would be cool to make it strike a line between Cutters, Flourishes, and Troikas. Wait, what? I'm saying this:Give the series a smaller, off-hand version, and give it a two hit-long combo. The first swing would be like the current one is, but with much less knock back and a ghost swing, while the second one would involve a small hop (like many swords have), a thrust with the dagger, and finally a stab with the main sword. The interesting thing about the second off-hand strike is that that it pulls the enemy towards you, getting your poor foe even more ready to be skewered.
Wait, this isn't cosmetic anymore. Ha, you can disagree with this.
- Fang of Fog
Currently the fire blade is mostly cosmetics and for show off, due to how most people find it useless. What if it becomes even more awesome!? This would not change the combo at all. The wielding knight would merely alternate between swords during the combo. (Starting with the main sword.) - Antigua series
Another cosmetic change. 6 bullet clip but split between two guns. (So each would have a 3 bullet clip. Would still only reload when both are empty.) I'm not sure if the guns should still keep the same point of origin from the bullets or not. If so, it might look a little strange...if not, this it might mess with some mechanics. Any help? - Iron Slug
Poof! 2 guns, with the user shooting both per attack. (Still two shots before reloading.) Damage does NOT change, but it takes about 25-50% longer to attack. The charge shot now shots both forward and backward. (Good luck animating that. >.>) Either that or the charge just becomes two successive attacks, but that's dull. :P
He he... disagree if you wish. I was just thinking that if Knights get some form of dual wielding, the suggestions for it would stop appearing. I feel this is the best way to do that: through cosmetics. Realize that dual bombing might not work before you ask me to do that.
Oh, and please tell me how to make this a better suggestion!
Have you seen the ghost swings of a cutter? A knight's arm isn't so flexible to make a cosmetic dual wield work.
You will need to do some changes.
