Maybe this should be more of a question than a suggestion. Why can't we see names in lockdown? Maybe it'd look bad, but apparently, lots of people recognize me from ld and I don't recognize them. I think having the option to display names would solve that.

Having a lot of people in the same place would clutter things up and people could essentially hide behind people's name-tags in packed areas. You don't really need to know who that guy boosting towards you is, either you'll recognize them or you won't. Besides, there's always the after game report if nothing else.
Long story short, it ain't a big deal if you don't recognize other people.

I also just thought of something else for better identification, but that's for another thread. Which I will make now.
As an option it's ok, permanent would be annoying.
