Chaos Vial (maybe replace Sleep Vials)

Havent done a suggestion in a while. So here goes:

Chaos Vial.
a throw-able vial just like Fire, Freeze, Stun, etc. but with a twist.

Description:
Flawed Vial-Crafting makes broken vials chaotic, but not useless. Chuck one these vials to watch your enemy go down...chaotically.

Chaos Vials have a random chance of inflicting a random status with an all new status as well:
12.5% chance of inflicting Curse
12.5% chance of inflicting Fire
12.5% chance of inflicting Freeze
12.5% chance of inflicting Poison
12.5% chance of inflicting Shock
12.5% chance of inflicting Stun
25.0% chance of inflicting an all-new status Confusion

Effects vs Enemy:
If Confusion is inflicted, it causes the enemy to fight among themselves. The damage they would have normally have done to a player, they now do it to their buddies. Because healers cannot do damage, if inflicted, they drain the HP from the monsters they are "healing".

Effect vs Player:
If Confusion is inflicted on a player....(i have no idea what happens)

How Long:
about 4 seconds of aggro. subject to change

Why?
because i would enjoy this.

This makes an interesting idea. Not sure how hard it is to implement a new status, but I
was just thinking we could use a few more status effects.

I like your idea. I'll throw in a suggestion of my own to go along with it. How about it does a random status?

Why not make a Pheromone vile that does make the "enemies" start doing some strange kind of fighting c; lol jk (not really pls do this)
either way -1, would be a waste of time to code this.

I'm giving this a +1 for the hilarity. Would be neat if there was a monster that inflicted "chaos" and caused the player to lose control temporarily... XD

I have to ask, will healers be affected?
Will the enemies kill their traitor or keep focused on you?

Nice.

I think you made a pretty good point here, making a Chaos-Phiol would be nice.... And besides it perfectly matches my idea. :D So I thought of a 'Flash-Status' that makes you loosing your view, which will return after a few seconds, but my problem was: 'What would happen if an enemy gets this status?' And that is the point. If you are hit by this status you will be flashed, and if a monster is hit, it will also be flashed and will start to attack other monsters OR stop moving and attack in any (random) direction. [just some idea I wanted to add]

I loved Coelydragon's idea so much, decided to add it.

also, im gonna take my idea a little bit more serious because i have been persuaded by my guildies to keep at it.

I don't think confusion status is necessary or even good for the game. Instead, why not make all of those chances independent of each other? As in:

12.5% chance of inflicting Curse
12.5% chance of inflicting Fire
12.5% chance of inflicting Freeze
12.5% chance of inflicting Poison
12.5% chance of inflicting Shock
12.5% chance of inflicting Stun
12.5% chance of inflicting Sleep
....

But you could inflict 2 or 3 or even all of the status effects with that vial. Now that'd be a cool pickup.

Perhaps confusion would switch up rendering of objects. What looks like your party member is actually a lumber.

Noticing your (subject to change) and the lack of tier variants, why not make it so the duration is longer the deeper you go? T1 can be 2 secs, T2 can be 5 secs, T3 can be 10 (subject to change) secs.

Also, Gent-Soopakoopa gave me the first laugh of the day. I could watch your version of confused people all day if this were implemented. Especially with commentary like that.
