Design our own levels !!

Like Portal 2, have the feature to make up our own community-arcade levels. I don't think there should be any crowns/heat for doing these levels and I don't think there should be an energy fee. It's just an idea for more content so it will never run out >:D If you die then there's no energy revive price seeing as you're just mucking about and testing out levels.

So it would be like:

Step 1: Choose a theme/background.

Or generate a random Template.

-No theme
-Fire
-Freeze
-Shock
-Poison

-Lichenous Lair (???)
-Auora Isles (I think is how it's spelt)
-Graveyard
-Candlestick Keep (???)
Scarlett Fortress (???)
Right now I can't think of anymore no-themed unique levels.

Step 2: Tick boxes on which depths this level could be.

Depth 1
Depth 12
Depth 26

etc.

Step 3: Choose monsters in level.

- Gremlin Mender
- Alpha Wolver
- Lumber
- Polyp
- Zombie
- Greaver
- Kat
- Mecha Knight

Make it as easy/hard as you want.

Step 4: Choose puzzles/area's/danger rooms.

Perhaps make it possible to make your own puzzle rooms/danger rooms.

Step 5: Add any hazards (and blocks).

-Spikes
-Shadow Fire
-Thistles or whatever they are.
Currently can't think of anymore

Step 6: Play/try out/test your new level.

Let it load up, and play. :P

Also make it so if you want you can try other people's levels too.

Heck, if you wanted to, you could try and make your owns Freezestorm Citadel. (AND ADD KATS)

Yes. I don't care if there's no payout and I don't care if it costs crowns to make.
Also, there should only be an elevator cost on custom levels if you can in fact gain
crowns and heat, although there should be a limit on "free crowns" laying around
and prize boxes per level.

Long time ago I thourght to make suggestion like that, before i realized it does not have sense. You have my support, but I still don't guess it will be introduced.
Returning to my idea, it was to make not levels, but custom missions4fun for vanguards with own levels and even own items, npcs and mobs, if someone have skills to do something. No energy fee and not rewards and other similiar rules like on your idea.
After mission player could vote and if it would get enough votes it would be introduced as "acceped mission", what takes energy and gives rewards.

Thinking now, it would be great change for endgamers... at last what to do, and not just anything! Various stories and level schmes, fun, fun, endless fun! But no..... not with OOO. :(

What would be the back story

What would be the back story to this? we some how learned to abuse the clock work to the point of making our very own chunks of it? -1
The only reason to make this would be to help the dev community (of like no one) create levels to be added to the game. so still -1 due to lacking of use.

Have you played Portal 2? because there's no storyline to the community course test-chambers. What would be the back story? Well there isn't one. If you think that about almost every update then wouldn't you disagree with it all?

Guild hall - What's that got the do with storyline?
Prizebox Costumes/Accessories - What's that got to do with storyline?
Sharbombs - What's that got to do with storyline?

(I know I've missed out things like Operation Crimson Hammer, but I'm giving evidence to support my point).

So far you're the only one here who doesn't like my idea (That's right, I'm Potato) so I don't see why others would say I agree and then never use it. There isn't really much to do once you finish Rank Missions, etc. so I just came up with an idea which would make veteran players have some interest in the game. Portal 2 Community Courses were successful, and it keeps me playing Portal 2 infact, still after 2 years. I don't see why this couldn't be unsuccessful.

1 - That's different, as Little-Jaunces pointed out on that one you can farm money.
2 - Page not found...
3 - Bit brief.
4 - Different idea, that's talking about adding the idea to missions, also doesn't say about not being able to farm.
5 - Page not found again....
6 - Again, slightly different idea. Also talking about making a whole stratum (custom level after level).
7 - Your idea is different, you want it to be a DLC where I want it to be a feature.
8 - Worst of them all, extremely brief and is talking about making a profit out of it.

My idea, on the other hand is supposed to be for fun. Not a DLC not for the mission system, but for fun. Also my version of this "idea" was the longest, and the most-detailed.

Could be more awesome if there's a "maps" page in the official website and it will show the highest voted map.

"its gonna take a mighty lot of rendering and map making for the terreign features. that is gonna take a really long time" Well, Portal 2 maps can be quite large and it only takes less than 40 seconds max. Infact I've made a Portal 2 map that is HUGE. It's so big at some points I struggled to find room for puzzles. But it only takes maybe 30-40 seconds. I don't see why SK could take any longer.

@Blitzsonic My point is that you can just download them and play them, if they were added to the Arcade then there would be tons of levels, some too hard, some really easy. Some players would struggle.
