Ladies, there's a difference between underused and unused (at least in my opinion which I shall now state)! An underused weapon is according to me a weapon that is used less than it should be. People stay away from stuff like Cautery Sword for a reason so it is by all means not underused. A good example of an underused weapon is Irontech Destroyer. It's probably the least used 5* Blast Bomb yet it delivers the highest DPS and some nice stun. An unused weapon, on the other hand, is a weapon that is rarely used. A good example would be Cautery Sword once more. People don't use it for a reason and thus it's unused rather than underused.
Back to the topic, then.
Irontech Destroyer
For reasons stated above. Best Blast Bomb DPS and stun. It's a great bomb but I don't think I've seen anyone but Zeddy use it.
Catalyzers
Catalyzers are powerful but advanced. Very advanced. The payoff for a good user is extreme damage, though. They're like shard bombs except they're not completely shattered by bugs and bad design ideas.
Volcanic Pepperbox
It's a beast. Enough said, though I'll add some more. Whenever Zeddy brings his to Firestorm Citadel, there's at least 1.654 random peeps saying that it's a cool weapon and they want one. They're damn right about that.
Cold Iron Vanquisher
It's a great sword, just not a primary sword! You know how people bring Antiguas and whatnot as sidearms? CIV is a sidearm and definitely a good one.

No one will ever have a reason to use the Bolted Blade because you get a Calibur very very fast in this game. There are other, better 1* alternatives regardless. The Heavy Hatchet with ASI High, for one. Cautery Sword isn't underused as much as it is unused because it's a pretty fecal matrer-y sword.

I'd argue about them individually but in the end your list mostly seems to apply to unused weapons, rather than underused weapons. You're notably listing quite a few P2P items. These are obviously highly unused and guessing why no one really uses Static Flash isn't the hardest thing you can do.
The ones I do agree with are Fiery Pepperbox, Irontech Destroyer, and Catalyzer. I'd like to say that although Fearless Rigadoon is unused (for a good reason), it's not quite as unused as Furious Flamberge.

My opinions
Most underused shield: Stone Tortoise/Omega Shell
Why: It gets a bad rap for having no specialized defenses at all. Superb health makes it an above-average all-rounder. I should be seeing this thing everywhere, but I don't.
Most unused shield: Force Buckler
Why: Nobody gets it in the missions, one of its competitor's (Emberbreak) shield's recipe is given you for free, and nobody wants to spend the money on it for T1 Clockworks runs (besides me). It's a good 1* shield, but outclassed by Plate. I never see this thing, ever.
Most underused armor: Volcanic Plate
Why: It's amazing in FSC. It shrugs off Trojans and anything Vanaduke-related like a boss, and is no weaker than Vog Cub in the rest of FSC in terms of defense. I reckon it's underused because people like their ASI better than boss-like defense.
Most unused armor: Circuit Breaker series
Why: I have no idea. I guess nobody cares that much about shock in the Clockworks or in T1 LD.
Most underused weapon: Irontech Destroyer
Why: What Krakob said.
Most unused weapon: Wrench Wand
Why: I've seen a Cautery Sword used more than a few times in my lifetime. I've only ever seen the Wrench Wand used once over my two years playing SK.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!
If you take a run through my inventory, you'll see that half of my gear is almost never used by other players.
I.e. Wrench Wand, Industrial Cata, Flamberge, DVS, Dragon Scale Mail, Azure Helm, Salamander Helm, Callahan, 5* Honer Blade and Shield. These are just off the top of my head.
Also, one of the least used weapons is Plauge Needle. Don't forget it! It's lower DPS than it's cousin and much harder to obtain unless you are a PVP fanatic.

Wild Hunting Blade- Awesome looking, but it sucks too much. Everywhere. Even wolver dens. Yes I've tried.
Gun:
Iron Slug- Looks powerful, kinda a throwoff in lockdown (Nethrom uses it, pretty fun guy to fight). Decent gun IMO.
Bomb:
Irontech Destroyer- No idea, havent used it
These are the most underused weaps IMO. FoV is close cause people don't like getting set on fire. Troika li es are close because they are bugged (speed is slower than an ASD:low WRH). CIV is close because its awesome looks don't make up for its lackluster dmg compared to levi. This sword is also bugged (hits twice on charge, not 3 times). Callahan is sorta close, its firing style isn't really preferable for most. Pepperbox is a cool gun, for use anywhere. Looks cool too. And Lastly, the gran faust. It is pretty underused. I've only seen about 1 person use it in the past minute of lockdown, so it must be a hipster weapon. Definitely.

CIV isn't bugged. The charge hits only 2 times because there's no need to hit 3 times. If you can kill the enemy with 2 hits, why would you swing 3 times?

Omega Shell is hardly desirable for the endgame. Why get it when I can, after 103697403918340135 FSC runs get CoA, GOS, BTS, VPS, and Swifty?
WHB is great in Wolver Dens, I have no idea what you're talking about. Of course, it's not as good as DVS for single target combat but it's in my opinion one of the best weapons for Wolver Dens when combined with EV or GV.

I agree re: Catalysers and Pepperbox. Catalysers are just wonderfully powerful and flexible; I get both great DPS and great single-hit burst damage from mine, and I can shove monsters around! Pepperbox path can blow away monsters with one charge that the Brandish can't burn down so fast, and as a gunner I like how it benefits from gun boosts.
I also consider the Poison-inflicting weapons in general to be underappreciated; I find Poison very practical AND gratifying when multiple Gremlin Menders are present. Poison was a contender for my first Vapouriser to take to 5-star, until I read about the Masquewraith...

I agree with most of the stuff that's been said, save for the part about the shields. The Heater Shield is the most underused shield. Hardly do I ever see it on players in the clockworks. I believe that I've actually only seen this shield once, besides looking it up on the wiki.

Is the Heater Shield underused or unused? I actually considered the Heater Shield when posting, but I don't think it's as good a shield as the Omega Shell. And since "underused" implies that it should be used more than it is, it lost out to the Omega Shell, IMO.
It makes a stronger contender for the most unused shield, though. It comes very close to the usage rate of the Force Buckler.

Heater Shield is underused. It has great application in elemental+ice levels, as shields are the "greatest thing" for those, but everywhere else it just looks nice with your hallow stuff.

If you ignore the fact that weapons were what was intended to be discussed as well as the fact that Omega Shell is pretty balanced and not underused. It's a great first shield but it's a terrible end game shield when you've got GOS+CoA+BTS+Swifty+etc.

I really couldn't care less about that. The fact is, I hear about all of these "under used" weapons/armors/shields all the time. NO ONE ever talks about the Shells. I haven't even seen one in game since before the ICMF update, I believe. To me, when I forget a line even exists, it's a bad thing.

Way for Omega to get useful. Anyways, I barely see Deadly Virulisk floating around. Only people I see it on are very old/experienced players that found the time and energy to make this, but I rarely see it otherwise. Nitronomes/BAB are not used regularly, you don't see some guy in Mad Bomber spamming Nitros everyday, now do you. Compared to other mist bombs, VV and SS are not widely used as much as AoA and SB and VT, but have uses still. Bombastic isn't used much. That's all II got at that moment.

Hunting Blade + Maskeraith = Death
The HB and WHB seem fairly bad by themselves. I use one a lot, usually in compounds or places with large enemies. Pairs well together with Maskeraith's needles.

Unless you're talking about Elite mode, Omega Shell tanks Trojan hits pretty well. "Barely" is definitely NOT the word I'd use.
