Set bonuses

This is a (i think) original thread about sets.
For example, I think there should be a bonus for having all of 1 set (like having full royal jelly or azure guardian).
THey would only work when you had all the pieces on i.e. Royal jelly helm, Royal jelly shield, Royal jelly armor
So, just for starters, here are some of my ideas:
Divine veil, Divine mantle set: 1% chance when attacking (0.25% for fast swords, 0.5% hits for fast guns) to have a giant white sword slash the monster in front for 100 damage (happens automatically)
Volcanic plate set: 1% chance when attacked to give a weak fire to every monster within 3 block radius
Dread Skelly set: 1% out of every 10 sec to give either (weak) sleep, stun or poison to enemies within 2 block radius.
Any comments?

This would discourage hybrid sets even more. There already is plenty of reason to use a complete set.

What Hexzyle said. Set bonuses would be nice for gear without abilities/with negative abilities, though.

lol you erthboundimortal. Just lol. I don't even need to tell you why this is bad now. Hex did it for me.
We already have set "effects". The Dread skelly has a purple mist effect that I love too much to be normal. Don't quote me on this but I think the effect also stacks so it will be more "vagrant" effect with each piece you have.
