I searched for it and saw nothing. Decided to make a thread.
Water should be added to the game. Actual water you can get in and swim. Before you start making a big fuss of graphics, having low graphics would make it look like just phasing into the water. (No effects) Medium would have a small ripple. High would be a big splash with temporary water drops on screen. (BTW if you have graphics on high on a level with snow, it gets on your screen. So that's not a big code problem) Now to the actual suggestion. Knights would be able to only stay in a certain depth underwater (you can't go deeper, but you can go to surface and back to where you were underwater.) with unlimited breath. (because who cares about logic.) You aren't able to shield bash, and dashing would be half the distance and speed. Swords would be only slowed slightly, guns would change, and bombs will affect underwater AND the surface. (For you bombers out there.) *If possible, you could have an extra water-only attack in your sword combo, depending on how it attacks. Like a slow weapon, such as the hatchet, could maybe do a vertical slash. Fast weapons could have a quick spin, and normal weapons could do a stab. (also applies to flourish/snarble barb.) Enemies would consist of water-type monsters, including gremlins that are decked out in underwater gear. (Such as scuba gear) Any monster that isn't specifically made for underwater sits on the surface, easy to maneuver around. Drops that are in water will depend on what the weight of it WOULD be if it had any. So crowns and vials/capsules would sink down to underwater level. Heat and materials would stay at the surface, or if underwater, rise up to it.
