I want to have some more randomization on the mobs that appear in the depths of the clockworks. Let's face it, we already have it, it's just that it's on those few, very rare mobs - Impostocube, Love pup, ect. I want to extend that to all mobs.
Here's the idea:
Simply put, all enemies that spawn have a chance of any combination of the following... um... stuffs:
1) Mob can be from either the next Tier/Stratum, or the previous one. For example, an Ironclaw Gremlin that spawns can be replaced by a Darkfang or Tenderfoot. Just remember that a Tenderfoot will never be replaced by a Darkfang, and vice versa.
2) Said mob can be replaced by a mob that inflicts a different (or no) status. Silversaps replaced by Vilewoods, normal Wolvers by Ashtails, Bloogatos by standard kats, that sort of thing. Gremlins might be replaced by other Gremlin types, methinks, since they have no status variants. (May also replace wolvers with Vog Cubs and zombies with bombies?).
3) Mob might be unnerfed (where applicable). AKA: Wolvers with tracking, among other thing. Probably the nastiest possibility, since the player wouldn't immediately know.
With the above in mind, if three wolvers spawn in a freeze depth, one can be a Voltail, another can be a unnerfed Frostifur from a different stratum/tier and the last an unchanged Frostifur.
Playing on higher difficulties increases the chances of a randomization.
... Yes, I know there isn't much, but... well, I had to try, no?
Parts of this happen on some specific levels.
In wolver dens, there's always at least one alpha stronger than the rest (if you're on T2, you'll notice it teleports as a T3 wolver).
T3 puppies can spawn on any decon zone in a similar way too.
And my latest finding, after doing my 9000th candlestick, it's common to find statusless zombies, howlitzers and kats.
