Is the Very High CTR Calibur a mythical sword or what? (also, WTB swordstones)

Why are these so incredibly rare? You see other 2 star items with vhigh CTR for sale from time to time (i.e. Brandishes and Flourishes) but a Calibur? Forget about it. The only one I've seen was a dude who was selling a vhigh CTR CIV (what an epic blunder turning it into a CIV btw). Other than that one time I've never even seen one up for trade, let alone in game.

If I had to guess why, it's because of Swordstones. For ex, Brandishes require 2 Beast Scales and 2 Monster Bones, both of which drop often and are basically worthless (50-100cr each). Swordstones don't drop as often and easily sell for 400cr each, so that's 800cr for each one.

BUT EVEN SO... how many of us have ragecrafted countless Caliburs? Quite a few, including myself, and you just never see a vhigh CTR for trade. Rarely even see a high CTR, for that matter.

Anyone think there's a lower percentage for a vhigh CTR Calibur compared to similar items or is it because of Swordstones meaning less Caliburs overall are crafted?

Anyway, WTB Swordstones. IGN = Green-Lantern

Mmm. Some people out there

Mmm. Some people out there just don't sell it :P. BUT THEY HAVE IT SOMEWHERE OUT THERE! I personally got extremely lucky when I was a noobie and the two caliburs I crafted for my girlfriend and I became UVs. One of which was a HIGH CTR. So :P. UV is all about random chance, and I do think that swordstones are a turn off to mass crafting these things. =T

Yeah, I mean I've inspected

Yeah, I mean I've inspected the best and I've never even seen one equipped (you'd figure that's an item someone would show off).

As for Swordstones, I like to spend my Jelly tokens to buy them. Bought 15 stones for 30 tokens earlier today. Was actually thinking of using Duke tokens as well since a stone only requires 1 Duke.

Ragecrafted and spent over

Ragecrafted and spent over 11k CE making about 200 or 300 caliburs and didn't get anything close to very high CTR. I also know a few people who have spent about that much as well.. It doesn't exist!!! I think we need to petition it as a bug... Just Kidding, but seriously...

^ Yeah, it's ridiculous. The percentage has gotta be much smaller than similar items. Doesn't make any sense.

Is the Very High Attack Speed

Is the Very High Attack Speed Cold Iron Vanquisher a mythical sword or what?

plus CTR very high is just for show. your sword comes with medium charge time when its lvl 10. so as long as you have medium ctr its already maxed out.

@ Evokie You sure? Unless

@ Evokie
You sure?

Unless this is false, the max cap is maximum for boost. On weapons the max boost you can have (UV) tops off at very high (not cap).
Even if you max your sword to lvl 10 equaling a Med boost + another Med boost (UV) would only be a Very High and not reaching maximum cap.

So... I'm ragecrafting

So... I'm ragecrafting Caliburs myself, looking for a High/Very High CTR or Damage vs. Undead.
I'm 450 Caliburs in, and the best UV's I've gotten are:

Damage vs. Beast: Very High (for sale)
Increased Attack Speed: High (for sale)
Damage vs. Slime: High
Increased Attack Speed: Medium x2 (for sale)
Charge Time Reduction: Medium x3

Since Very High is the top UV a weapon can have, it's obviously the hardest to get.
Yet there are so many Wolver-line items and shields with Maximum! Defense UV's. I even got 2 Maximum's and 5 High's out of 200 Magic Hoods.
So definitely the top UV weapon rates seem to be much lower or our lucks are seriously flawed.

^ Yeah, it could be a bug or something. 450 and that's the best you got? I've probably done like 200+ so far. Kyrios and his friends each made 200+. Yet not a single very high CTR when there's several brandishes and flourishes with it? Doesn't make any sense. Either the odds of getting one are deliberately lower compared to other items (why even do this?) or there's a bug of some sort. I'm thinking about making a thread in the bug report forum, lol.

the only way an item can be

the only way an item can be "maxed out" is when your UV corresponds with the top attribute that your item has. for example. an Omega Shield If you got a UV thats "very High" in normal defence. instead of showing "very high" it will say "maxed" out cuz your normal defence in that item has reached the maximum. There is no way to have over "very High" UV in 1 single item.

Vanguardian could have had the answer if he knew how to math.

So, Vanguardian has 450 caliburs under his belt but never bothered to do count analysis to determine actual UV rates. Sad.

I've been screwing around with Haze bomb counts and I'm up to 274. What these large numbers allow you to do is see the actual percentages of UV and all variants. My data so far shows UV incidence at 15%, UV low is 12%, UV Med is 2%, and I don't have enough information to tell you the real percentages of high and very high, but I can tell you that the two together account for 1% of all crafts. There are seven possible UV choices for haze bombs and across all UV they appear in equal proportion, for swords this moves up to 8 different UV options because they can have increased attack speed where bombs cannot. Assuming that Very High only accounts for .25% of crafts then a CTR VH sword is .03125% chance. Meaning that in order to guarantee up to 99.9999% that you get a CTR VH calibur, you have to craft roughly 6400 caliburs. Thats 320kCE alone not counting mats and crown fees.

I forget the exact formula for determining that value so its a very rough guess based on (100/.03125)*2, but its pretty close to the right value. 3200 crafts only nets you something like 80% likelyhood. Now I'm wishing I remembered more statistics.

So when they want 100kCE for that calibur, you might be getting off lucky. I hope this answers your question sufficiently.

so...

I happen to have a CIV with CTR Very High...I got the UV when upgrading to CIC, and already have a Levi :(

Anyways, I was just wondering if it's better to put it on auction in game or on the forums still? I haven't really played since the auction-house update, so I'm not sure how ppl are taking it. Last I checked there was an outrage!

dispite how rare the UV is. i

dispite how rare the UV is. i dont understand why anyone would play 100kCE for a very high CTR UV when they can get a medium ctr UV that will give the exact same performance.

No, medium=2, very high=4, max=6. If you have medium ctr uv it only gives 2+2=4=very high. If you have very high ctr it will be 2+4=6=max.

umm...

maybe because it doesn't... there are six stages of UV, low-medium-high-very high-ultra-maximum. UV's add together. Unless adding has changed recently 2+2=4 not 6. Please stop posting nonsense/trolling.
