Four to five star gear gap problem

My suggestion is to see a bigger difference between four and five star gear. By the time a four star piece reaches level ten, it's better than its level one 5 star counterpart. And after all the time you spend getting your four star piece ready to become a five star, you not only have to start all over again, it's also weaker. And this is only made worse by the recent addition of fire crystals. The gap between three and four star gear is huge, not to mention that it takes a fraction of the time to upgrade compared to four-->five star. Why give such a big reward for a small amount of effort and no reward for huge effort?
besides the appearance of course

It kind of even outs at level 5, and the amount of heat and crystals to reach that is minimal.

Yes, fully upgrading a 5* weapon to level 10 can be slow the first time, but only for the last levels. The beggining is super easy.

i think that they shouldnt

i think that they shouldnt make the weapon stronger
they should make that 5* gear have more chance for uv
and they it isnt like that with all the weapons
yes its true the gap is small
but, for example the striker/bomber/gunner armor sets get helpfull uv and status protction

the weapons should get a boost but the armor is fine

nah. the amount of time you need for getting it better than the 4* is about 30 mins. besides, 5* gear are indeed slighly stronget than 4* until you get to S6.

Some 5* gear gets huge advantages over 4* gear while others don't. Most armours get their passive bonuses doubled, for instance.

I've got a topic here about which weapons get left behind while other weapons race past them.
