Lately, I've been dying because of lag getting me mauled by enemies. Usually, when I lag out, it seems that I'm still connected and yet, the enemies don't move. And suddenly, I teleport to another corner of the map, apparently having been brutalized by enemies to double-death. Would it be a good idea to make it so we have to manually activate our emergency revives so they at least don't get wasted when that happens? :D Also, the whole emergency revive not activating while DCed doesn't work in this scenario, because the game is thinking I'm still connected, when in fact my connection has gone to Vog.
The ability to use the emergency revive as we please (to prevent wastage due to sudden sharp lagspikes)
Well, if that's the case, I hope they fix that whole not-revving-while-DCed thing. It hurts a lot. Especially if you're on the last stretch of a rank mission and lag suddenly pops out.
Would it be possible then to add a maximum wait time on activating an ER? I don't know how long people lag out for, but possibly something like a 15-20 second window? If ER isn't activated by the player in that time then it activates anyway by itself.
That's... Pretty good actually. It could really help, and if people lag out for longer than even that, they're probably gonna get DCed anyway, and the DCed-guy-revive-stopper-thing would probably kick in. XD
I don't see how this would really be abusable. It's no different than using a spark of life, really, except a spark of life causes stun.
Well, there's the occasional guy who would stay dead while people did all the killing, but the instanced loot and the timed revive idea Niichi had would make it difficult. :D Also, if they decide not to kill all the enemies and simply run to the party button, that's one annoyed dead guy right there. XD
I just wish the detection of DC would be better. Like, there are times when I can see what's happening around me, but I can't control anything, which is a kind of disconnect, but the emergency revive still activates, then I die again.
Sure, why not.
it's a annoying problem.
I want to do some thing but don't want use ER after dead. like help my brother do home work, go bath room.
like old rev system. lay till back ,then BOOM! You die monster! and for lag-spikes.
>Ever had a party member where they just sat there dead while you did all the killing?
Loot is instanced and while you're dead, you don't get any of it. So choose - either you lie down all the way and get NOTHING or join the battle and get rewards
@Onekone
You still get. It is just not visible to you. (correct me if I'm wrong.)
What he meant was that the dead guy would still have to do some walking to get the loot. In which case, if he stays dead, no loot for him. :D
+1 i just want to observe my team without using a spark XD
loot quits spawining after a while you are dead. should be 1-2 mins.
Although it's not your fault, now that we don't have Elevator costs anymore, people can just quit before their spark get's activated, meaning that they'll never run out.
What if you were still doing rank missions, and so far you're already on the last stretch, a simple battle away from the last elevator, three pills, full HP, still one free rev left, proper equipment, and then you get a sudden massive lagspike right after stepping on the party button. Say goodbye to your progress (or your hard-earned spark, or worse, 50 CE). Sure, you can try the mission again, but it's really disheartening to have victory snatched away from you at the last fight thanks to a sudden cloud flying over your house and ruining your Wifi for ten or twenty seconds. Or something like that. X__x Although even that CAN be beaten by having a full, competent party who manages to drag one's lag-mangled corpse to the elevator. :D
While this would be nice, I'm afraid many people would flat out abuse this. Ever had a party member where they just sat there dead while you did all the killing? It's happened to me on multiple occasions where I was not the party leader. The difference if we added this? They could now bank on an emergency revive while right now they would have to burn a Spark every time they do that. It's still cheesing system though, and a low way to play the game.
And for those who say "Er mah gawd, just kick him or go solo or go on a run with people you know," well sometimes I'm not the party leader, and going solo is a drag; the game doesn't feel as fun without multiple people in a party (plus I might get to meet awesome new people), and don't assume that everyone has a friend or guild to go with. Some are new to the game and don't know anyone yet.
