Why are these things in the game!!!!!!!!!!!???????

Everything in or to do with the dust bunny family ... like u know the little things that just swarm u and they keep respawning after u have killed them already ... they are the most annoying thing in things in the whole damn game, i mean why the hell are they in it (the chittering burrows and the creeping colonies are so annoying because of these things) for god-sake i try to avoid them floors but always get them.
Does anybody agree with me? Because if u do I'll be glad to hear because these things need to to removed - now!!!!!!

I hate all compound exclusive enemies (Bunnies, drops and scarabs) and I usually get them on ? floors. But they where made for Elite players who mastered the game though

Have I ever come across a Scarab; I've done tons of Compounds levels. I still wonder what they're like. :P
"Does anybody agree with me?"
I don't, I usually come across 20-30 Dust Bunnies and easily kill them all.. About 10 spawn back I just evade them. It's not hard.

The only thing I hate about these enemies are you NEVER know what you'll be getting. All those compounds levels have the gremlin color on it's icon. So my only way to know what the level will have is the name. Crittering burrows sounds like a beast level. So I equip things to fight off those dust bunnies, but what? It's actually an undead level? Welp, I'm completely misgeared.

Wtf.....wats up with all the gremlin menders
also, garlic veggies ROCK

Chittering Burrows - Scarabs
Ravenous Warrens - Dust Bunnies
Creeping Colony - Glop Drops
I like the compounds. I like the challenge, and I like the more puzzle-like nature that it has.
What I don't like is how the amount of treasure boxes in it is something around 4. The mini mobs drop moot. I mean come on, at least reward us better if the monsters we're fighting are more challenging than clockwork levels. And clockwork levels give like 15-20 boxes! (Excluding the danger room)

LIKE 100 OF THEM SWARMED 4 OF USE VANGUARDS (all 5 star equipped) ASLO ALONGSIDE ALL OF THAT 6 LUMBERS , 6 BATS , 4 OF THEM GHOST GUN PUPPIES AND 4 MOTH HEALERS .... HOW THE HELL ARE U MEANT TO DEAL WITH ALL THAT???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vanguard means nothing. How good are you?
Judging from this post, not very.

And then we have people complaining about lack of challange and demanding new enemies >.>
May I suggest a bomb? Ash of Agni and VT are great. Just stay away from fire dust bunnies.

u try that then mate see how u like it Demonicsothe

They're irritating, sure, but they are by no means extreme enough to warrant a nerf, nevermind a removal. In fact, if you have a fast weapon (or bombs, which make them a cakewalk) you can stunlock them with ease. Just like Scuttlebots, Devilites, and Greavers, these things flinch when they're struck, so as long as you pay attention and strike them before they strike you, there should be no way you're taking hits from these little critters. They're nowhere near as bad as you make them out to be.

One word for you: BOMBS. That is how you deal with them. They aren't *meant* to be pwned by swordies. Use guns, but bombs are the best for dealing with those damn dust bunnies. Only the most experienced swordies can take them down. Either way, this game needs difficulty, and they certainly add some difficulty to it.
You sound like a really whiny kid. You want everything handed to you on a platter? Sorry, that isn't how life works. "I don't LIIIKE this enemies, they are HAARRD!!! I want them removed NOWWW!!!! WaAAAHHHHH!!!". Read what you've written, it basically sounds like that. You aren't open to a fix to this problem, you just want to moan about it.
Vanguard =/= awesome at the game. All it means is that you've completed a few missions, not that you are good at the game. Make a bomb to kill them, if you are having such a hard time. Voltaic tempest/Ash of Agni/Nitronome/Shivermist/Dark Briar Barrage and BAM, compounds are cakewalks. Just seems like you don't have good loadouts.

^ Lol, bio. Your whiny kid description sounds like this OP AND Batabii! 2 fer!
Also....EPICCCCCc

Before I latch myself onto Voza-II's throat, I'll say this: minis are weak to bombs. You'll just need one of the Blast bombs to clear them out, but I'd recommend getting the fudge outta there as quickly as possible. Shard bombs might help a bit better, considering they can technically blow up twice. The DA, Gran Faust and Troika lines have high dph and wide swing, so buffing their damage can help instakill them.
I don't like them either, and often lose a Spark (almost definitely on Tier 3), but the minis and compounds are manageable. The bigger problem is when you get all three damage types in play...

whatever u don't really understand

Gravelord....y is ur head a rock?
I was agreeibng with his description of the OP , which concidentally describes batabii (aka larry).
I agree with the bombs as the best way to clear minis.
Next, try to EnGlIsH b4 u go like "Raaawwwrrr HoW now Reed idk WHAAA"
Bio....still love you XDDDD i so wish i was there!

Despite how mean Venomous sounds, he is right. On both my main and my alt, I've tried all the tiers' mini-mob levels, and Blast Bombs seem to do the trick. As long they explode in quick succession, you can shove back entire legions of minis.
Although you CAN use crowd-guns like Blitz (for dust bunnies), Sentenza (for drops), and Alchemers (for Scarabs), bombs seem to do the work a lot faster and safer (if you know how to use them).
But if you really insist on using ONLY swords, Brandish charges and DA charges work. They're risky, and they don't have the range that a gun has, but they can at least push back monsters. Heaven forbid you try to use a Flourish-line sword; those aren't meant for crowd control.
And if you really are clinging to your deathwish, just practice timing your hits on T1 compounds. It's the only reason why I still swing around my Vanquisher without dying in a Compound.
Hope this helps!

What don't I understand? I've told you how to make all compounds a breeze. Either you're too dumb to place a few simple bombs (and seriously, even a n00b can do that) or you simply don't want to have a solution to your problem. All you want to do is whine. Even if you don't have bombs, acheron charges are your friend! So is kiting with guns, and bigass swords like Triglav, Sudaruska, and Gran Faust. Those are ways to solve your problem, but bombs are the easiest. Either way, I don't think you even want to hear reason. You don't want a solution, you only want something to rant about. Many people have already told you how to deal with them, and yet you're still obstinately claiming that they need to actually be removed from the game. Nope! As we've said, they're pretty easy once you figure out how to deal with them. Also, this game needs all the content it can get. OOO simply can't remove something on the whim of one annoying churlish kid.

EV and Swagger work wonders on minis. Of course, you'll need something to finish them off with in addition to these two. I guess AoA might be good for it.

The scarabs have always given me the most trouble. They're basically like tiny zombies that only perform lunge attacks but have a deceptively large targeting range and attack in swarms of 10-20. Just like the zombie lunge, their attack is damaging throughout the entire animation, even during the half second it takes them to land, and their small size and lack of very distinctive features can make it difficult to tell which player they're about to swoop at in the heat of combat. Combine all that with the tight spaces you fight them in, and the fact that their long-range swoops allow them to surround you easily, and you've got a recipe for incredible frustration. If any minis were deserving of a nerf, I think it'd be scarabs.
Either way, I think the trick for any of the minis is not to let them overwhelm you. Lead them through tight corridors and use wide-arc swords, guns that splash, or bombs to damage and stun-lock groups of them at once. Also, when you get to that final room, don't press every button at once, that just spawns more of them.

Voza-II: Yes, I agree about bombs being the best method (Nitro's probably better here than Big Angry), but in your first post here (that was edited), and again in the post you're referencing, you deliberately insulted Batabii. No, I don't agree with everything he said about the Greavers, nor do I give much of a damn about beyond acquaintance, but the smearing of his name was enough to make my blood boil.
Feline-Grenadier: Wait, there's compounds in Tier 1?

I actually like the Compounds levels. I just wish they were actually worth doing. There are on average 0 treasure boxes on those depths, and 2 if you get lucky.
Meanwhile, Clockwork Tunnels usually have at least 8 treasure boxes.

This thread is bait??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?????!?!??!???!?!?!?????!!??!?

In my opinion
People should not be fighting over skill. Play for fun! Does not matter if you die as long as you learn from your mistakes.
onto the compound discussion
I think it's good to see puzzle like elements, it's a nice change.

All I gotta say is... That you adapt to it. The first time I went to compounds, I died many, many times. Then eventually, I get use to dealing with them.
Dust Bunnies really aren't too bad despite their ability to keep aiming at you while preparing for their leap attack. They flinch from a single hit of a normal or effective damaging hit. If you have a bomb with good ctr charge to go with it and know how to crowd control, you should be fine. If you have a piercing sword weapon, just don't combo and strike them with only the first hit of the piercing sword (which is a wide sweep, allowing you to hit multiple of them at once and flinch a bunch of them like that). Shield-cancelling works wonders with this against Dust Bunnies.
Glop Droplets' gimmick is that they are able to literally able walk towards you while they're in their attack state, but the weakness is that they're slow and that their reach of attack is extremely short. Bombs works wonder on them if you use bombs properly. Charged attacks from Brandish line weapons and DA also works well since they line up easily.
Scarabs are probably the most annoying ones to deal with for me (especially when paired up with fiends). Their attack consist of a long and relatively slow flying tackle that damages the entire duration. They may not be able to change their aim once they've started preparing their attack like Dust Bunnies nor can they walk towards you while being in attack state like Glop Drops, but the sheer number of them along with the fact that they don't always attack you all at the same time makes them very hard to get rid of safely and quickly. They are more difficult to gather in a crowd than the other two types of minis and move in really random directions when not attack you, making it difficult for you to use swords to get rid of them. A solution to them is to use bombs to get rid of them. Guns can safely strike them even while they're attacking, but you don't do much damage to them in elite mode. Swords can only get rid of them well with a good ranged charge attack or proper timing (which lag ruins a lot) of sword slashes, or while the scarabs just land after their attack finished. You can also chase them down while they're not attacking, and kill them off before they start flying at you (again).

I used to be kinda eh about them
And then I got Hexing Haze...

@captainsloth what level were you talking about with the greavers and lumbers and what gate is it in? I wanna play that!

I'm going to ignore everything in this post and say that Scarabs need a nerf.
Not everyone can be bothered to make a Dread Skelly.

"Not everyone can be bothered to make a Dread Skelly."
My lazy behind agrees.
"I'm going to ignore everything in this post..."
I'm following you so far.
"...Scarabs need a nerf."
That is where I disagree.
If you dislike the compound levels, have the patience or the quickness to avoid the floor itself if you have learned what was coming in the first place. I like the sense of urgency that comes with the endless spawns, similar to the candle stick keeps or graveyards. OOO just gave me more of what I wanted without me having to ask.
There is more than one method to traversing difficult obstacles. Find them? I guess?
The jelly swarms are the most trouble for me. Thanks again game. =]

Lol I got Dust Buns, Chromas, Polyps, Bombers, Menders, Thwachers, Mechas, Battlepods, Gun Pups, Lumbers, Kats, Howlitzers, Silkwings, and Devilites in one Compound level. Way to go OOO. Now I think I should get Cobalt armor for "all around" defense.

Don't make skelly, you got radiant silvermail, divine set, deadshot, shadowsun, snarbolax, fallen, valkyrie, almirian, kat hoods, defense trinkets, sprite perks, UVs, maskeraith's cloak, drakon fire barrier, sera's aura..... If that's not enough to boost your defense, go kill snarbolax on normal and see if that adjusts to your skills :P.

Cobalt set is as far as "all around" as you can get. It has no defensive bonuses, no offensive bonuses, and only resists piercing and normal.

We all know the first encountered enemy is a slime. And Pierce defense isn't as great as Shadow defense or Elemental defense, or even Normal defense.

Well, spikes are the most common trap out there. The Spíral HQ is afraid of those.

@Grave Oh, smearing Batabii's name?
This guy was in my guild before ye got kicked out due to numerous complaints agaibst him. He doesnt deserve much kindness because of how he acts toward other perfecty decent people.
I onpy really dislike him, as you can tell. I have not smeared anyone else's name because everyone, despite varyibg levels of derpyness, is relatively nice compared to batabii.

Sorry bout all the typos. Just got a new phone, and everything about it beats the iPhone. Except the CRAP TEXT EDITOR
a little overreacting hmmmm?

Voza is lying. I didn't do anything to deserve getting kicked. Some people were just jerks to me, and the GM listened to them without question.

Actually, I like Dust Bunnies, they're pretty easy to handle with mist bombs/Briar Barrage and a decent sword or gun. Grave Scarabs are easy as well, I try to Glacius-charge them and they go down easily. Glop Drops go down with a Silent Nightblade/Acheron charge. Well, in my opinion.

Compounds are fun, bombing a million critters into pieces is surprisingly satisfying. And no need for Dread Skelly, just get a Chaos set and watch them drop like ants. :>

Dust Bunnies are probably the easiest of the mini mobs to deal with since they are easy to interrupt, attack direction is largely easy to read and are less likely to dive at you from offscreen.
Gorgos, on the other hand, can go die in a fire.

I wonder what everyone will say once Dust Bunnies and respawning Wolvers are added to levels other than compounds....mwahahaha...

Glop drops and gorgos are the most annoying monsters in the game. I hope new monsters will be better, otherwise OOO confirm that they forgot how to make enemies.

Lol batabii. Cant really rat your way out of this one. I can easily get proff from the GM herself.
Why don't you accept the fact that you are not liked by many people at all, and move on. ;)
there completely pointless and never should of existed the old system was so much better
everything is bought with energy now, everything in this game now ends up convincing you to spend real money on energy and then the energy on crowns.

This... This isn't on topic with the thread. Besides, you're wrong. You can buy anything with a bit of grinding. The game is still completely free. Crystals are easy to find. Orbs are easy to find. I don't see what you're complaining about.

Voza-II and Batabii: Y'know what? Screw this, I'm washing my hands of this. Apologies to everyone about these posts I had indirectly caused.
Leekcoco: Agreed. Love having an army after me and then blowing them all to Mother on high.
Usevnsevnsixfivfor: Eh? Battlepods? Where?
Batabii: Cobalt set is as far as "all around" as you can get. It has no defensive bonuses, no offensive bonuses, and only resists piercing and normal.
I'd prefer it if was truly all rounded: a bit of all four defenses, for that jack of all trades taste.
Super annoying...
