Battle Sprite: Rocksol

Before we jump off to Rocksol right away, I would like to suggest a new harness: the Diamond Harness.

Every sprite could use the Diamond Harness.

The Diamond Harness can reduce cooldown by 20%, but will not deal any elemental, piercing or shadow damage. It will become an extension to the Normal Harness Kit. You could either purchase the harness which would deal lots of Normal damage and reduces cooldown OR the harness with 20% cooldown and less Normal Damage.

Introducing.... ROCKSOL!

Rocksol is a wild battle sprite, partly made of Minerals (Prismatic) and offers wild attacks. Its skills focuses on covering your area with traps: Rock shards throw mini pieces of rocks, which explode when stepped on, Mineral dust will increase your defense and give MSI for a short time and Mad Smash will make Rocksol smash the ground and a rock will fall on the ground like a bomb. Also, enemies will get DMS low for a short time. (Decreased Movement Speed)

Rocksol starts out looking small and fragile. As he evolves, he'll have some minerals (Prismatic) all over him. But you can't break his minerals off!

Rocksol also grows minerals as it evolves. This is because of how much Wild food it eats. Although the Minerals can't be broken off, its color seems to match their owners (I mean knights) personal color (That's true friendship right there).

What it would eat:

Since Valestone is green and that Rocksol was found in Wolver Den, I would call the food "Wild".

How to obtain Rocksol:

1) You would have to go to Wolver Den (any Tier) and defeat Alpha Wolvers (any type). There's a 0.2% chance of an Alpha Wolver, Alpha Ash Tail, Alpha Frostifur, Alpha Voitail OR an Alpha Rabid Wolver dropping a Rocksol Pod.

2) Shadow lairs have a 2% of dropping a Rocksol pod.

3) On one random level of the arcade / clockworks PER tier, there would be a secret level: starlight cradle. This hidden level would not be shown on the gate map and is very rare to land into it. If you land on hidden starlight cradle, your party would be locked and there would be random types of wolvers. Before the elevator, there would be special boxes which contain a Rocksol spritepod (Starlight cradle would be recreated) .

4) Purchase a Rocksol pod for about 2800 CE.

Skills:

Rock Shards

Fires a series of medium-sized rocks which explodes like a shard bomb.

Augments:
- Focus: Reduces cooldown.
- Explosion: Increases the power of the rock explosion.
- Thrower: Increases the amount of mini rocks thrown.

Mineral Dust

Summons dust from its minerals. Those who walk in the dust will get increased defense and speed.

Augments:

- Focus: Reduces cooldown.
- Spray: Increases the range of the dust.
- Scent: Increase the duration of the defense and MSI.

Mad Smash

Smashes the ground and a rock falls down to the ground. Enemies within range have a chance to get stunned if hit. The harder Rocksol can smash, the bigger the rock can fall.

- Focus: Reduces cooldown
- Fiery Flame: Increase the size / range of the rock that falls.
- Earthquake: Increase the power of the rock when smashed.

ULTIMATE SKILLS

Rock Shards

Fires a series of mini rocks which explodes like a shard bomb.

=Dangerous Rocks
When rocks are thrown by Rocksol, there is a mini chance of causing a random status effect.

=Rock Storm
When rocks are thrown, rocks will be exploded into 3 mini rocks.

Mineral Dust

Summons dust from its minerals. Those who walk in the dust will get increased defense and speed.

=Magic Dust
When the dust is in effect, those who walk in the range of the dust will receive a random status resist for 20 seconds (Knights only)

=Sonic Dust
When the dust is in effect, knights who walk in the range of the dust will receive MSI High for 10 - 15 seconds.

Mad Smash

Smashes the ground and a rock falls down to the ground. Enemies within range have a chance to get stunned if hit. The harder Rocksol can smash, the bigger the rock can fall.

=Pumped Up Smash
When the ground smashes, two rocks will fall instead of one.

=Rolled up Smash
When the rock smashes to the ground, it will roll and will smash to the enemies.

Better idea for food

Since my idea already has Valestone covered here. I got a better idea for you. Since yours apparently gains minerals as he evolves how about "Rainbow food"

The way this would work is that each piece of food is a multiple of 5, and there are 5 minerals. It spreads the cost out. So it would be like this

Rainbow Mote= 1 of each (5 total)
Rainbow Dust= 2 of each (10 total)
Rainbow Stone= 3 of each (15 total)
Rainbow Orb= 4 of each (20 total)
Rainbow Star= 5 of each (25 total)

I just think that this type of food would fit yours more instead of just feeding him green and having purple magicly appear and so forth.

I'd prefer using Wild Food. Rockus was first found in the wild of Wolver Den, so I would just make the food "Wild".

You're basicly making him make minerals from nothing. That why I'm saying changing the food ingrediants would explain how he gets it. Just because something is "for shot" doesn't mean it can ignore the laws of the universe XD

Unless of course that universe has different laws.

I think it shouldn't have drop rate at 15%-20%. Because Alpha wolver aren't very hard to find isn't it? May be it should be around 1%-5%? Just saying through...

Love the pet, maybe he could be modelled after a turtle? It suits the animal and everyone loves turtles. I also think multi mineral pet food is a good idea as well. The diamond harness might as well be an extension of the elite iron harness. Like Thowardz says, drop chance should be about 1-5%. Last of all, I was thinking of a different name for the final ability, change it from smash to Meteor

Just think about it....

If the drop rate is 15%-20%... You would have more than one rockus with in a day... And if the pod that drop won't bound then rockus might flood on flea market for (maybe) at least 10kcr each...

Right now that would be a GREAT idea to drain at least one of the minerals that are freezing the arcade :D

The more that drop, the better so everyone starts feeding them valestone.
We could justify an event with increased drop rates and reduce it to whatever you want later.

*not the best way to fix things, but give it a chance*

@Thowardz - Sure. And since we have free elevators, we could make the spawn rate low. Maybe up to 10% ? Also, what Little Juances said, the spawn rate of the Pod could increase for a limited time. Maybe the Alpha wolvers took more Rockus Pods away and knights have a higher chance of getting them?

As for the extension, I would just keep the harness I'm suggesting as of now.

I love the idea of a rock-styled bomb-type battlesprite.

Though, on the second ultimate, Rock storm, when the rocks split, at the splitting point they should explode, and the mini rocks could have a little mini-explosion.

EXAMPLE: I want a rockus i have thre choice farm endlessly FSC and get 3k ce, pay like 7$ and get 3k ce or kill 5 T1 alpha wolevr. I cant choose how i will get him.

Thats quite frequently for it to drop, I'd say. The expected value of finding a battle sprite at this point would be around 33 alpha wolvers killed; if there are 3 alpha wolvers in a wolver den and I believe there to be quite a few more, you'd be finding a new battle sprite about every 11 levels.

I'd propose making a randomly generated level segment containing an elevator to a hidden mission. This specific section would take knights to an alternative pathing (like a shadow lair does, kind of) that would hold a shop selling the battle sprite down the road at the usual cost, and perhaps some nifty beast arenas/collector related scenary, before dropping you off at the terminal. That, should be your 3% chance of spawning per level.

This sounds quite incredible, but:
0. Shadow lairs do it, so we know that branching paths in the arcade are possible.
1. The appocrean event has shown us how creative the elevators can be.
2. We've seen scenario rooms in the past.
3. There would be some way to tell between the actual elevator and the sprite elevator. The sprite elevator would probably have an NPC+battle sprite pods strewn about.

Why does Rocksol only get to use two harnesses, when the other Sprites would get four (Iron, 2 special, and then diamond)? Why not have another mission introducing him, so people have another choice?

@Sandwich-Potato I think the Rocksol should be special and very rare sprite. We can't add more harnesses coz he'll copy one of the other sprites. We can get rid of that problem by making 3 more sprites and adding 1 more crystal (orange i think).
