What is the highest MSI possible?
I know you can get MED from armors, and MED from sprite, but if we add in the highest possible UV what's the highest possible MSI one can have?
And does anyone has a video demonstrating?

Huh, searched a bit and I found a vid of VH, I see why the developers are too afraid to add MSI UVs, this thing is amazing, imagine if someone could have max, oh well, I guess I will have to wait for my dragon to level up to find out. But any vids of someone doing it?
Drakon's backfire barrier gives such a ridiculous amount of speed that I doubt MSI would have much impact on it, if any. That being said, someone should test it. Like me.
Deadly Cloak also gives something like low MSI while active.
So, can you test it and post a video if possible? I really want to see how powerful the speed boost is, I need to wait, since my dragon is only level 68 so far, I mean, if MSI has hardly any effect on it, it has to be somewhat impressive.
Fun fact: The gold speed buff is actually asi, not msi.
That means the Deadly Cloak doesn't give msi, but asi.
"MSI VH is possible with Merc+Pet Perk"
Black Kat Cowl mixed with a Merc or Merc Demo Suit also works.
O RLY? You know not everyone has the Black kat cowl, so suggesting someone to get it just for an MSI low, while you can get mecurial helmet that does the same thing and all year round isn't really something to rely on.
Even tho I have it, if I want to help someone I am not going to suggest him to get it.
Alright, done some testing with Backfire Barrier with no MSI and with VH, results are quite interesting.
Tested distance: 27 tiles
No MSI:
- No Backfire Barrier: 5,345s (5,05 tiles/1s)
- With Backfire Barrier: 4,414s (-0,931s, -17,42%)
MSI VH:
- No Backfire Barrier: 4,656s (5,8 tiles/1s)
- With Backfire Barrier: 3,69s (-0,966s, -20,75%)
Distance covered while being boosted by Backfire Barrier:
- No MSI: 12 tiles (duration of boost: 1,5s, 8 tiles/1s, *+58,4% tiles/1s)
- MSI VH: 15 tiles (duration of boost: 1,5s, 10 tiles/1s, *+72,4% tiles/1s)
*Compared to run w/o using Backfire Barrier (5,05 tiles/1s to 8 tiles/1s, 5,8 tiles/1s to 10 tiles/1s)
Judge it by yourself :)
Does so much MSI really matters if you're not a bomber? I mean, running fast is cool, but the life of a swordsman is simple.
MSI shortens the time of walking from point A to B and helps outrunning monsters that already have been slower than us (most of them). Pretty much all of the weapons, doesn't matter if it's sword, gun or bomb slow you down while you're charging it so if you prefer charge&run strategy then you'll benefit with MSI. The bigger decrease of walking speed during charging animation the more noticable the difference will be. Then there's dodging, MSI helps against some of attacks, like Devilite's throwing attack, you'll get hit less likely when you walk faster. Currently with Chaos&SSB combo, MSI is (almost) the last stat that you can try to improve. Nothing you just have to have but it's fun to play with some.
Mercurial or Mercurial Demo isn't really the same thing as Black Kat though. Both the merc items are kind of gimmick items, whereas the Black Kat Cowl is actually really good and happens to let you fit some MSI into your loadout. So yes, it is worth bringing up, because otherwise people might get the idea that the only way you can get MSI is through bad items.
That is a very valid argument, but about 99.9% of the SK population will never own a cowl, which is why I think it isn't really worth recommending as a strategy as it applies only to 00.1% of the population. But overall if you manage to get one, you can fit it in many loadouts.
Enfeebler has a drakon video where he uses backfire 30 seconds in. It's basically one second of striker boost.
Edit: Oh I am way late to this party.
So Backfire is more like shield dash in that the time it takes to activate causes a delay if moving from point A to B.
MSI VH is possible with Merc+Pet Perk
There are no MSI UVs
You can get an additional MSI med (putting it to MAX) with one of Drakon's Shield Ultimates, but i cant remember which one :T
