6/21 Player-run Race Event - Winners and Recap!

Hi all! A few of you may be familiar with the Trivia events hosted over the last couple months - after much demand for more events, tonight we decided to take it up a notch and make the competition both team-based and a bit more interactive!
On Saturday evening, May 21st, we planned and organized one of the game's first/largest 2-man co-op depth races. Below is a quick recap of the event, some congrats for the winning teams, and a special thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it happen.
The race itself was a 2-man team race from the beginning of T2 all the way to Emberlight. To win, players had to know which mobs to skip, how to kill required mobs effectively and quickly, and how to work together with their partner to effectively find their way down.
We had over 10 teams and 20+ people register for the event. Here's a shot of us all just before the race began...

The race was a close one, with the top three teams all finishing within about 2 minutes of each other! Now then, a congrats to our winners:
Grand Champions: Team Passionfruit (Dothackerduo and Sick)
Second Place: Team Renesis
Third Place: Team Strategery
Fourth Place: Team Ironscales
Fifth Place: Team Espeonage

I'd also like to give special thanks to the staff in Jempire who made it happen! Ruyter, Kennyn, and Huntr - thank you guys for giving up your evening to help make sure the event ran smoothly and without a hitch!
We hope all of you who got to race had a fun time, and we look forward to bringing more player-run events your way in the future!

What happened to the GMs? I remember hearing a while back that there'd be a GM giving out tips in the Rescue Camp during the preview event...also seen a few screencaps of them ingame.
It'd be nice if we saw some official events, as opposed to player-sponsored ones. Perhaps with CE/rare rewards?
Good job to Jempire, by the way. I've always enjoyed the influence you've guys had on the game.

Oh, that wasn't making fun of you, I just agree whole-heartedly. It's kind of hard to get excited about the game now, since all I'm doing is crafting UVs with Mist/hoarding Crowns to buy CE.
I also copied it directly 'cuz I felt it was best captured in the essence of the moment.

Would be cool, though I imagine the GMs are probably overworked taking care of other in-game issues. The team at three rings is good people, so I don't doubt they've probably got some cool things cooking up. :)
