Waiting for stuff to die to collect loot is annoying.

It's really annoying waiting for monsters to die before you can collect loot.

Fix it by increasing the radius stuff flies into you.

Not needing for you to run through the loot to collect it.

Or reducing the dying animation or something.

This makes stuff like fsc way less tedious.

Not really...

It only takes one or two seconds for a monster to die and drop their loot. However, I do agree with Dragonuity that Kats take long to die. I'd suggest being a little bit more patient since doing other stuff in this game can take much, much longer.

You don't have to run through it, you just need to be close to what you are trying to collect. Say if you are going to kill something but don't want it to go into brambles, spikes, or traps. What I recommend you do is shield bump the enemy away from that particular area. That way when they do die, their loot is in a safe place to collect it.

Well now

Take the trojans for example.. you gotta wait for the little fireworks.. and then on top of that.. you gotta hit the damn carcass just to get its loot.

Even more work.

Nuff said

Still see it like this

"I'm so powerful stuff just bows upon my arrival anyway, why not have the creatures auto make loot for me upon my arrival with [insert brandish here]?"

Because, you know, Sk with brandishes is like Jempire competing for the pvp leader board for those who still know how SL's work.

While they're still falling over, you can still shield bump most everything to take the loot with you. Breaking defeated trojans with a bomb can be used to hit other enemies at the same time, so as not to waste a move.

Although, a magnet powerup that drops like vials and barriers do might be cool...

I also think a lot of users would benefit somewhat from this.

Speaking of waiting for stuff to die...

With the gun update presumably nearing, it sure could be handy if bodies would become non-solid as soon as they reach zero health.

Would definitely make a heavy gun like Callahan more practical (who wants to waste 50% of your clip on a corpse), but considering this would be a noticeable physics tweak it might have unintentional weapon over-buffing.

Back to the topic of death->loot, just make loot drop on zero health, rather than the end of the death animation.

It also works with stun. When you know it takes one more blitz charge to defeat him, release it as he's about to hit you. You'd need to have a spare remedy capsule or a lot of health so as not to die from the fire though.

I think that was intentional to keep some sense of realism. If it wasn't intentional, it's doing that anyway and should stay in imo.

You're missing the point, dear.

Lazy....

Hardly.

When I do runs.

I do them fast.

And I don't want to wait 2 extra seconds for every monster I kill to collect the loot.

Would be much less irritating if you automatically get the loot when monsters die without having to collect it, in fact why did they implement individual loot anyway. Makes FSC runs a lot slower and more like a chore, especially on depth 25.

It'd be nice if we automatically just collected all loot as soon as it dropped... but then we wouldn't get to collect it?

Real reason is probably the energy gates with boxes behind them. Some of them you can break the boxes on... wouldn't want knights collecting that w/out paying.

Deh vanaduke though. You stay near to him, you are on low HP, and you kill him. He takes so long to die, one of his shadow balls might just hit you in the face.

Unless you're smart enough to run away from him AWAY from his shadow balls into a place that might not hit you in the face if you already killed the guards.
