In a separate thread, I suggested adding new tier bosses to the game. These include: The Conscious and The Deity Duo. In this thread, I will be describing the various gears that will come along with these bosses, including token weapons/armor and Shadow Lair armor.
~The Conscious~
Token rewards
Daemon Crown: 5* shadow/normal helmet~ Visuals will come later, I'm drawing a blank. But I know it will look like the angelic set.
Stat wise it is identical to Crown of the Fallen, with Max curse/stun resist and Max ice penalty. It also has universal charge time reduction low and damage penalty vs undead medium.
Daemon Mail: 5* shadow/normal armor~ The armor that is set with the Daemon Crown.
Void Wraith Shield: 4* shadow/pierce shield~ I'm at a loss for visuals, check back later. Probably either like the scale shields or like the Skelly shield.
Stat wise it would be slightly weaker than Wyvern Scale shield, but with split pierce/shadow instead. Would also have Max status resist of stun/curse
Abyssal Vortex: 5* shadow bomb~ A miniature version of the boss, it is a small clump of black smoke with a large blinking eye in the front and 2 moving tentacles sticking out the sides.
The charge time and fuse time are slightly longer than that of a Graviton Vortex, and it's radius is 3 blocks wide. For it's charge attack, the initial detonation deals 6-8 normal damage and causes black smoke to slowly spread towards the edges of the blast radius; the smoke takes approximately 2 seconds to reach the edge. The smoke deals no damage, and instead has a good chance to cause moderate stun. After reaching the edge and lasting for 1 second, tentacles sprout from the center of the radius and deal pure shadow damage equal to a mist bomb, then retract back to the center pulling in all surrounding monsters. Enemies hit by the tentacles have a slight chance to receive moderate curse. If the wielder of the bomb is touched by the tentacles, they receive moderate curse as well.
Simvol: 4* normal sword~ Resembles a Kamarin with dark energy pulsing from the cracks in the blade and a darker shade for the overall blade.
It's attack patter is unique, in that the first 2 attacks are identical to any other 2-hit sword; however, this sword has a third swing that resembles the charge attack of a Hatchet sword but with considerably less knock back. The 2nd swing also has reduced knock back, to allow the third it to connect with the enemy
The charge attack is the same as the charge for Sealed sword, but with a larger AoE and only able to deal ice/stun/curse status.
Using recipes found from Basil in the arcade, the 4* pieces of gear can be upgraded into 5*:
Dusha: 5* shadow sword~ The pure shadow variant of Simvol, it resembles the cracked form of the Sudaruska but with dark smoke pouring from the gaps in the blade. The tip also comes to a point, rather than spread out. The tip of the handle looks like a skull.
It's normal attack sequence is identical to the Simvol. The third attack has an equal chance of dealing curse to enemies as the 2nd hit of the Gran Faust, but the strength of the curse is slightly weaker.
It's charge attack functions like a normal Troika line charge, except that the first explosion instead spreads a dark mist with tentacles spilling out in a 1-block radius which is purely for visual effect. The second explosion retracts the tentacles into the center, pulling in any monster within a 1-block radius. This second effect does not deal damage, but has a fair chance to deal moderate curse damage. Performing the charge gives the player a chance to receive curse for 30 seconds. The initial explosion deals more damage than the first hit of a Sudaruska charge, but less than the 2nd hit.
Telo: 5* pierce sword~ The pure pierce variant of Simvol, it resembles the cracked form of the Sudaruska but with yellow smoke pouring from the gaps in the blade. The tip also comes to a point, rather than spread out. The tip of the handle looks like a skull.
It's normal attack sequence is identical to the Simvol. The third attack has a chance to stun the enemy.
It's charge is identical to a Sudaruska charge, except that it has 3 explosions instead of 2. The second explosion summons tentacles form the ground straight up, and the third explosion causes these tentacles to spread out knocking back all enemies in the area. The charge has a fair chance of dealing strong stun; it can also interrupt enemy attacks if enough damage is dealt. The combined damage of all 3 hits is less than that of a single Sudaruska charge.
Abyssal Wraith Shield: 5* pierce/shadow shield~ The upgraded form of the Void Wraith Shield.
Stat wise it would be slightly weaker than Dragon Scale shield, but with split pierce/shadow instead. Would also have Max status resist of ice/stun/curse
Shadow Lair Armor
Abyssal Wraith Hood: 5* pierce/shadow helmet~ Looks like an obsidian hood around the Dread Skelly helm but with a recolor. The horns would be sticking out the front.
Stats would be identical to Radiant Silvermail, but with ice/stun resist instead of poison and a very high negative resist to curse. It also has an undead/fiend damage bonus low, and gives +5 health instead of +4. It is upgraded from Sinister Skelly Helm at the Sanctuary.
Abyssal Wraith Cloak: 5* pierce/shadow armor~ Looks like a mage cloak reskin, possibly close to Chaos Cloak. The collar would be removed to avoid clipping.
Stats would be identical to Radiant Silvermail, but with ice/stun resist instead of poison and a very high negative resist to curse. It also has an undead/fiend damage bonus low, and gives +5 health instead of +4. It is upgraded from Sinister Skelly Suit at the Sanctuary.
~Deity Duo~
Token rewards
Spike Cannon: 3* pierce gun~ Not sure on the particulars, but it would probably look similar to a mix between a Twisted Spine Cone and a Magnus.
Normal attack pattern would resemble a Magnus, but with a 3 shot clip. Normal attacks leave a spike inside the monster that does nothing on it's own, stacking up to 3 times. Attack damage of the weapon would be less than a magnus. Reload animation is the same as a Magnus but slightly slower, and recoil only pushes the user back 1/4 of a square.
Charge attack would be the same as a Magnus, but with less damage. The bullet also only takes up half a square as opposed to the Magnus taking 1 full square. Recoil still pushes player back 2 blocks. When the bullet collides with a monster, all spikes inside the monster detonate dealing a separate small of pierce damage, with a maximum of up to 3 hits. Damage from the spikes deal no AoE or knockback and only affect the spiked monster, and cannot inturrupt enemies.
Vorpal Barb: 2* pierce sword~ A Flourish varient, not sure how it would look be probably a reskin of the Snarble Barb
Deals the same amount of damage as the Flourish/Snarble Barb, and with the same attack pattern.
For a charge attack the player takes a step back and swings the blade in a horizontal slash, similar to the first attack of the combo, and also shoots out a single line of spikes runnig thorugh the ground, similar to when the Snarbolax digs. It's range is 3 blocks, and similar to a brandish charge it cannot go over gaps and is obstructed by the terrain. It can only hit a monster once, but the line does not stop when it comes into contact with an enemy, allowing it to hit multiple monsters. The spikes do not register as projectiles like the brandish charge however, so the charge can be safely used against gremlins, wolvers and devilites.
Crinkling Crevasse: 2* elemental/normal shield~ Visually a Bristling Buckler with a reddish-orangish reskin and possibly a new design on the front.
Would be an elemental rework of Bristling Buckler with sword attack speed low instead of damage bonus.
Shadow Lair Armor
Rupturous Cap: 5* elemental/normal helmet~ Come back to me on the visuals, but it will be a wolver reskin. Probably closer to the Snarbolax than Skolver/Vog Cub.
It's defense would be equal to Chaos Cowl. For status, it would have max fire/ice resist and max negative shock resist. Also has sword Charge Time Reduction medium. It is upgraded from Ash Tail Cap at the Sanctuary.
Rupturous Coat: 5* elemental/normal armor~ Come back to me on the visuals, but it will be a wolver reskin. Probably closer to the Snarbolax than Skolver/Vog Cub.
It's defense would be equal to Chaos Cloak. For status, it would have max fire/ice resist and max negative shock resist. Also has sword Charge Time Reduction medium. It is upgraded from Ash Tail Coat at the Sanctuary.
Seems very interesting I actually wouldn't mind if this was added.
