You are alone.

The return elevators have stopped functioning. Trapped inside the Clockworks with no weapons, no allies, and no resources, you must use your wits to escape to the surface alive before the monsters find you.

That's not to say you're the only one in the same situation, though. Several other poor souls like yourself are lost down here; if you can find them, you stand a greater chance of surviving the journey back to the surface.

And if you're lucky, maybe you'll find out what the heck is going on before you die.
__________

There will be very little combat in this RP, since you start with no weapons and are unlikely to find any (effective ones) in your journeys. All chatter, both IC and OOC, will occur in this thread, so try to keep the OOC stuff to a minimum. The usual roleplaying rules apply.

There are a few other rules to be aware of.
*Your character must be able to communicate with Knights.
*Weapons are disallowed (shields are allowed, though).
*Battle sprites are disallowed.
*Your unarmed combat abilities are incapable of killing, maiming, wounding, or otherwise rendering enemies unable to fight.
*You are not allowed to manage NPCs without first obtaining my permission. Do not attempt to first use NPCs and then retroactively get my permission.

To join, provide the following information:

*Name
*Gender (male, female)
*Life Stage (young child, older child, young adult, mature adult, elder)
*Appearance
*Bio, personality, and other notes

Name: Aekun

Gender: Male

Life Stage: Mature Adult

Appearance: Purple eyes that glow, Black & White Obsidian Hood, Black and White Obsidian Mantle, Disciple Wings

Personality: Aekun almost never speaks, but when he does, he sounds cold, distant and practically emotionless. These words pefrectly describe him.

Bio: Aekun was one of the knights that investigated the Shroud of Apocrea mission, and witnessed his friends being bruttally slaughtered by the Harvester. In rage, he killed the beast and returned to Spiral HQ. There, he crafted the remains into armor. The experience had a profound effect on him, and his personality became like it is today.

@Aekun

Your character doesn't seem particularly believable. Transforming from a nice guy into a ruthless monster after seeing his friends killed isn't a realistic response, IMO. I could see him being bitter and perpetually depressed, perhaps, and maybe even distant, but not cold or ruthless.

I don't always participate in RPs, but when I do... I stop participating after a month. But here's to trying!

*Name:
Gatley

*Gender (male, female):
Male

*Life Stage (young child, older child, young adult, mature adult, elder) :
Mature Adult

*Appearance:
Emerald colored eyes and personal color, and taller than most knights. (Basically a height modifier) he wears a radiant Silvermail and a Golden Chapeau. (For the sake of realism, no accessories besides his goggles.)

*Bio, personality, and other notes:

Bio: Gatley was a soldier of the order as soon as he was old enough to join. Records state his ferocity and bravery in battle was almost unrivaled. He is a masterful swordsman, however that is one of the only things he has going for him. Others push ally come up with the plans, Gatley just carries them out.

Personality: Calm. Very calm. Despite fighting for knights almost his entire life, he can't help but hate people for their stupidity. Often being left out of the crowd, he is in his prime fighting, not socializing. He is a very logical individual with wonderful morals.

I will add more if needed, but this is my app ATM.

EDIT: Hey Thin, are you going to make a character as well?

RP by Thinslayer!!! Yaaayyyy!!!

Name: Sapphire
Gender: Female
Life Stage: Older Child (Nearly Young Adult)

Appearance: (Assuming we're going with your human biased story basis) She wears a Angelic Raiment with the dress a deep navy blue, trim a sky blue. She has dazzling cerulean eyes, and stark black, shoulder length hair. She wears a Magic Hood, and very rarely pulls the hood down, usually using it to conceal her face. Sapphire also has a simple neckless made of string, a small round Moonstone hanging as a pendant, but the neckless is under her armour.

Bio: Before the crash, Sapphire wasn't fairly remarkable in any immediate subjects. She mainly spent her time reading, and thus ended up fairly introverted. She didn't train to be a Knight in any respects as she found reading more entertaining. Sapphire would often just stroll around the Skylark, frequently losing herself just staring out the windows at the stars and beyond. After the crash she had a period of mental withdrawal, but luckily her parents were there with her, both of whom survived the crash and were decent Knights. To help her cope with her crash induced condition, they took her on various trips around the vicinity of the Rescue camp and afterwords Haven. Over time, the little calming trips helped her overcome her shock, as observing the nature that Cradle had to offer was like a real-life glimpse into some of the books she read. Once she got older, her parents decided to start taking her on trips to the Clockworks, as not many books had survived the crash, and books were the one place where Sapphire could escape to happily. She quickly earned to enjoy the runs, but they stuck to nature themed levels. Sapphire had just gotten old enough to receive permission to traverse the Clockworks solo, before the events of the RP.

Personality: Though introverted before, the crash impacted Sapphire heavily, even after her recovery. She's pretty shy and doesn't talk much, but has a great innate curiosity.

Important Note: I developed Sapphire with the premise of the Roleplay, and unique rules in mind. Her one (or more) greatest ability is undefined. I decided that, depending on how the RP goes, Sapphire's strengths and abilities will develop to conform with the situation. Not that her ability is adaptation, but rather that whatever comes up will shape what truly makes her special. Also, seeing how the RP is eared towards social interaction and character development, I left her personality rather broad and slightly ambiguous.

Can't wait to begin!!! :D

Entry

*Name: Luke
*Gender: male
*Life Stage: older child
*Appearance: Cobalt color eyes, Cool Spiral Crescent helm, Cool Spiral Brigandine,
*Bio: Grew up on cradle, only knowledge of Isora is from older knights. When he first defeated the Snarbolax, (With the help of others.) He felt courage, and began to hone his skill. When he was sent on the Royal Jelly mission, he was ready for anything. After his team had defeated the King of slime, he felt like he was noticed. Started to adventure into the Clockworks more, and talked to people more. It was on one of his adventures in the clockworks that he disappeared, waking up with only his Swiftstrike on his back. Luke is very quick, and good at dodging blows. He used a Flourish before losing it. Is curious and wonders a lot. Can be a little shy of imposing/intimidating people. Good at moving quickly, crafted his Swiftstrike to aid him with speed. Can be very quiet when needed, some may not notice he is present before he speaks. His goal in life is to be special, or noticed. Others are special in that they have skills in aim, swordplay, or even just surviving. Luke had none of that, and that's why he tries to be good at something.
Shield: Swiftstrike Buckler

@Aekun: Looks good. Just remember to make use of that personality in the game. ;)

@Valorai: Character accepted. I think it's *because* Gatley is a good swordsman that this adventure will be interesting for him, since he will not have access to a sword for quite a while.

I plan to make a character app, yes, but I'm not sure who to insert. Gwen, Astran, Eva, or someone else entirely? /shrug

@Hexlash: Sapphire is quite a unique character. Accepted!

@Colray: You haven't given me much information on your character's biography. Tell us a story! ;)

My Little Robot.

*Name: Logan

*Gender: Construct

*Life Stage: Elder

*Appearance: Rusted Furnace-esque body, Domed head with a slit in the top. Orange light eminates from it. Arms that show bare wiring with few plates of different coloured scrap metal on his shoulders, wrists & hands. Has a sack threaded around his back full of spare bits & pieces of junk.

*Bio, personality, and other notes: A Mecha-Knight of an old design, disused due to high production costs back in the day. He was dropped into a deconstruction zone that was never fully deconstructed, and in the end, simply abandoned by the Gremlins. After a long period of time trying to figure out where his masters finally were, he began to wander around the level, inspecting new objects. He came across an odd piece of discarded technology, that allowed him to process his thought patterns into simple words. After alot of experimenting, he was able to combine various sounds into words. High, Low, Sword, Shield, Gun. His abilities began to improve the longer he practiced.

After a time, he spotted a punch gun on the ground, and instintively pointed and called out a combination of 2 words. Low Gun. The words stuck in his head, and all he began to say were these 2 words. Low Gun, Low Gun. These eventually merged together into what he would later be called as. Logan. Logan's days were long and unfulfilled, but satisfying to him. More words were strung together from words he found on signs as he eventually taught himself how to use the modulator to process written words instead of just observational thoughts. His dialect was becoming more and more advanced, for a construct that was only used to mute, blind, orders.

His casing was deterierating though. One day, his arm just fell off. No matter how much he placed it back, it just fell back to the floor. He then made a process in his head to repair using the closest available resource to him. Scrap. Taking some old bolts on the floor, Logan replaced the worn ones from his socket, and rejoined his arm. This became instinctive quickly, as his body began to deterierate more every day. The real issue came when his main body began to fall apart. He searched for a replacement, but to no avail. No scrap chassis were around. Thats when he found an old furnace, used by the Gremlins to melt down scrap. Fitting the old thing into place, while gaining quite a bit of weight i the process, Logan found himself reliant no longer on energy, but heat. As he threw metal into his fiery chest, he felt fresh and energised.

The sad part is that his mind would eventually decay, and all knowledge of what he had learnt would go with it. Logan would remain contempt with doing new things, collecting scrap for repairs & fuel, while wandering the level for a time unknown, until one day it'd just...end.

((As much as I loved my old app for Evaria, I believe an entirely different character is called for.))

Name: Evaria
Gender: female
Life Stage: young adult
Appearance
Equipment: Seraphic Mail, Avenger (broken)

Biography: Evaria grew up with military culture. Both her parents were valiant knights of the Morai Legion, and her two brothers fought as bombers on both sides of the civil war. Her father would often take her along on his travels, and while military policy demanded that she be left behind during battle, she nevertheless often caught a glimpse of the fighting. It looked glorious to her young, impressionable eyes, and even the splatter of blood and guts didn't seem to deter her enthusiasm.

As she grew older, her enthusiasm for battle transformed into a fierce desire to make the world a better place. Determined to make her mark on the world, she volunteered to join the military and fought for the privilege of knighthood. By the time the Skylark left Isora with her on board, she had become one of the finest knights in the Order.

But nothing could have prepared her for the Crash.

Personality: She is predominantly characterized by her formal speech and naive idealism. Honor and valor are her bread and butter, and fancy swordsmanship is second nature to her. However, she is completely untrained in unarmed combat or wilderness survival, and she can be a bit clueless in social (or romantic) situations. The Order has given her very few combat engagements (much to her frustration; probably due to her Morai heritage), so she has comparatively little combat experience.

I'd follow you anywhere thin /salute

*Name- Rigger Marsh

*Gender- Male

*Life Stage- Mature Adult

*Appearance- His cobalt armor is adorned with various bones, furs, and odd trinkets that cover up any cracks or weaknesses in his armor in an attempt to hide them. The thick reddish-grey hide of an ashtail cover up his head, and acts like a cape. His dirty face has a rather large greying beard that hasn't been trimmed since his last visit to Haven. Though his looomy green eyes may seem dull at times, there are many grand tales laying behind them.

Bio: To say he 'wasn't reliant on others' would be an understatement, Rigger went out of his way to avoid others at the cost of his sanity, returning to Haven only when he needed supplies. Everything was a thread in a world where the hunt never ends, and he was always prepared for a hunt. His furs meant a place to sleep reguardless of where he was, his traps a steady source of food. As time went on Rigger found he needed Haven less and less, returning only when summoned by the order. The seperation from society set in as he began to become more beast-like in his everyday actions; the most apparent being his food. His vorocious hunger tossed manners aside as he'd set upon his prey as a wild dog. He was returning to Haven when the elevators broke, leaving him stranded, and critically low on supplies.

Personality: Though paranoid and distrustful of others, tries to hide all emotions the best he can and others usually perceive him as dull or Evasive. This can change VERY quickly should food run low; a slave to his hunger, famine can adversely affect his judgment.

You're asking for survival?

Name : Lindsey Brenton

Gender : Female

Life Stage : Older Child (15-16?)

Appearance : Lindsey stands as a rather small (but soundly stout) 5'2, and weighs at a range of 90-95 pounds. Unlike most Knights, she often enjoys running and exercise outside of her armor (alone, in private), allowing her complexion to be a bit more tanned than most others (not surfer tan, but about half that between albino and surfer :P). While considered slim for her height : weight ratio, she's a very fit young woman. Her dirty-blonde hair is layered by a happy accident, and though it can reach down to her shoulder blades, she often has this tied up into a bun or a ponytail for convenience's sake. Her bright eyes, most notably the sparkling benitoite irises that tell all about her energy and genius, is often the winner of many staring contests, be it against a computer screen or another person.

Other skedaddling shenanigans :

Bio :

In stark contrast to Sapphire, her classmate, Lindsey was changed by the crash. Before her new life on Cradle, her confidence had allowed her to strive and thrive in all her classes, but her strong suit had been with physical sciences and engineering. In fact, she was a prodigy among her classmates for constructing the most sturdy contraptions. Her bridges, made out of wood glue and toothpicks, withstood at LEAST 10 pounds before they collapsed, and she often improvised her way out of many logic-based problems by coming up with theorems and formulas years ahead of her supposed grades. She would've been a great architect or engineer in the making, had it not been for the Crash.

The crash of the Skylark was said to be one of the hardest times on Lindsey's life, when her parents' escape pods skipped past the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth stratums in the Clockworks. They went past depth after depth, the gravity of the Core pulling them in faster than terminal velocity would allow, and two orbs were seen to be flashing brightly as they exploded, instantly killing Lindsey's parents. She was closer to them than anyone else, and in a world alien, she had to learn how to take care of herself...alone.

No one knows how she came into the Rescue Camp alive, unarmed and bleeding out, and she doesn't plan to tell anyone soon, but from that point on, she buried herself in her studies on Cradle's engineering. She spent countless hours cramming all the knowledge she had into sojourns with the rest of the older, less talented Geo Knights, and though she was not nearly as experienced as Wegner or Hahn in their respective fields, she had shown great promise.

She was chosen to do a field survey alone for the first time prior to the events taking place, as the Geo Knights' numbers were running thin from a heightened rate of deaths in sojourns...

Equipment :

Solid Cobalt Armor

Solid Cobalt Helm (Cool Plume)

Toil.

OOC : For all the science-fictiony fans, here's a shout-out to the XNA theory.

Another faulty sample...no signs of deoxyribose...nor ribose...

As much as Lindsey enjoyed working in the field, whatnot with the unnatural skyward breezes and the gentle, tepid caresses of the artificial sun above, she could not help but feel the tension in the air, as a gazelle does when the winds bring the scent of trouble when a lion would be near...

...she continued to pull samples from the carcass, a rotten, gangrene-infested husk that scarcely held the original genetic information. Though biology wasn't her main interest, and zoology was an even more distant interest, she was assigned to the task personally by Hahn, who wanted to acquire more samples of Chromalisks.

She was on the same page as him, though she did not need to be told what he was interested in : the extreme diversity of subspecies found throughout Cradle. It was a baffling subject, though Lindsey would've cared less about such things. What interested her more was how the artificial sun could still emit enough rays to support life...without killing it entirely. If the Order could get a firmer grasp on how to replicate and improve this technology, they could perhaps survive on any planet.

Truth be told, the Order was living in a half-metal, half-earthen monstrosity. Lindsey hated it all the more when it had claimed her parents' lives, but she still wanted to see it from the eyes of its creator : Tinkinzar, the alien, fur-clad (if he even was still covered in fur, given how much of a distant myth he was to his own people) engineer who sacrificed entire planets to protect the Core.

And whatever was in that Core was responsible for this mess that the Order was in.

As she cut off her line of thought, she found her composure broken; it was only becoming worse and worse as her breathes progressed into muted huffs. She released her now-clenched fists, and allowed her arms to drop to her side.

And then she stood up. She allowed herself to become distracted once, but now she knew...there was something amiss. Very, very amiss.

Blood, and here comes the shark

As the days went by the heards had been growing lean, forcing the hunter to set his traps further in and venture out on hunts himself. But today, suck luck! he had found a group, unusually slow...lazy...fat.

Chromalisks, very tasty --- Hard to catch if startled

Easily tracked --- Could lead into a den

More the merrier! --- Need to get back to Haven

They can wait!

His internal debate finished with a grin, he set his sights upon an older one, slightly seperated from the group. It took him but an instant to leap upon his prey. Though it might've had some fight left in it, Rigger bit the back of the elder chroma's neck with a satisfying crunch. The other reptiles had already vanished within mere seconds of the kill. However, something was off... there was a stench on the air, one he hadn't smelled in a long time. One of...Alchemy? Or was it chemistry?

Inruders? --- Possibly gremlins

Knocker class --- Slow could outrun

What if it's not gremlins? --- .....have to check it out then

Reguardless of who they were, they were tresspassing on his hunting grounds. He packed the fresh game into his puch before continuing. He stuck low to the ground, manuvering his way through the tall grass. As he drew closer and closer to the unknown figure, the world silenced. No birds, no wind, nothing but the ever faint crackle of brush under his boot as he crawled his way ever, slinking up to his target.

Hmm...

OOC: I'm not exactly sure how you want us to exactly set up our characters, especially without weapons. We're at the Gloaming Wildwoods, right?

Sapphire placed her hands gently on the side of the wall, looking out over the vastness of the Clockworks. An enigmatic breeze touched her hair as she gazed at the giant mechanical labyrinth, reaching out beyond the lights' reach. She let out a sigh, brushing her hair back. A resounding churning echoed from all directions as an unseen gear rotated.

She swivelled around, now leaning on the wall, facing into the grassy field resting atop an iron body. It was wonderfully strange, and to be amidst it, observing it, was enough to spark Sapphire's curious spirit. How queer it was to see such contrasting entities juxtaposed together in a synthetic harmony.

Sapphire's lips curved into a small grin, despite the hazy atmosphere, the Wildwoods weren't that bad. Perhaps one day she could bring one of her mystery books down to read beneath the peculiar trees, she could at least think of three that would easily supplement the mood.

Another churning clang rang out, immediately followed by a screeching grind. A shiver danced its way up Sapphire's back. The Wildwoods were unlike other levels, but its dark atmosphere and hauntingly serene ambience were something she couldn't find anywhere else.

A stronger breeze blew past, forcing Sapphire to brush her hair from her eyesight once more. She pulled her hood back on tentatively. Suddenly alert, her pleasant daydreams drifted solemnly away, leaving her insecurities the freedom to crawl forth. Almost whimpering, she slowly trekked on.

Heart of Valor.

A lone knight sat.
There was many places in Haven to go to, but this individual choose and abandoned outlook. There used to be many of these, looking over the clockworks. A sign of exploration to come, and dominance over the creatures below. But as the knight sat on a rock that was past the metal platform, he realized that there were no victors down there. The clockworks was a wild, and beautiful place. Made by gremlins long before the Isorans had crashed here, the clockworks had turned, and clanged, and groaned.

With a morbid thought, Gatley thought of a gremlin bleeding. The drops echoing throughout the clockworks of another life lost. Lost to the core. Lost to the clockworks. Lost to Cradle.

The endless cycles that Gatley had spent fighting had not deterred his vicious fighting spirit; but inside, each battle wore him down. He briefly wondered if his home was still there. Just outside of Haven. He had adopted his crashed excape pod as his quarters, and no one had argued. He was lucky too- the pod had crashed just outside Haven, right into a small cave. The odds were next to nil.

It was probably still there. Gatley had been away from it so long, he wouldn't know.

In the distance a clang rang out. The clockworks were always noisy. But Gatley liked the noise. It wasn't the deep worn voice of an auctioner, speaking of winnings. It wasn't the crowd yelling and mumbling as they walked throughout Haven.

A cloud suddenly formed over Gatley's head, as he watched the clockworks with his intent stare. Something was amiss.

But there was nothing he could do now, nothing he could use his sword in the corner for. Nothing he could do but wait.

Aekun
Darkness

The elvevator lifted upwards. Aekun stared wt the screen as if pondering something, when the elevator abrubtly stopped. His obsidian weapons were flung into the dark abyss of the clockwoks, and he shot out of the elevator, lying sprawled on the ground for a while, unconscious. When he finally awoke, he saw a Gremlin Thwacker standing in front of him, a cruel smile on it's face.

He whipped his legs around and struck the creature with enough froce to send it into the wall, knocking it out. Aekun almost reached for the hammer, but he decided against it because the gremlin would have undoubtedly warned others. So he ran. Ran until he could breathe no more, and he slumped against a wall, darkness filling him.

---------------------------------------------------------------

That had been long ago, Aekun was thinking. For he had been stuck in the clockworks ever since his elevator stopped working, and he wondered if anyone could be as miserable as he was now. He turned to trek father in, hefting a spear he had made from the pipes and stone blocks of the clockworks. As he trudged through the near-blackness, he thought he saw a knight up ahead, and despite the fact that he hadn't felt hope ever since the Apocrean attack, that was what he felt now, for there was indeed a knight up ahead, sitting on a rock.

He walked up and tapped the knight on the shoulder.

Heart of Valor,

OOC:

Aekun did you read these rules?

There are a few other rules to be aware of.
*Your character must be able to communicate with Knights.
*Weapons are disallowed (shields are allowed, though).
*Battle sprites are disallowed.
*Your unarmed combat abilities are incapable of killing, maiming, wounding, or otherwise rendering enemies unable to fight.
*You are not allowed to manage NPCs without first obtaining my permission. Do not attempt to first use NPCs and then retroactively get my permission.

If these rules had been followed, you should have not been able to render the thwacker unconscious.

I also don't believe you are able to make makeshift weapons.

Logan's Stroll.

The rustling of scrap being pushed out of shuffling feet, echoed through the level. Logan reached down and picked up a small flasing light that spun around by itself. With a bemused expression (or as much as a construct could give), he inspected it further, twisting it around in his hand. With a monotone expression in his voice modulator, he said "Bright Light flashing...old". With that, he tossed it behind him, with an off-screen smashing of glass to be heard soon after.

A loud claxxon sounded by the rusty remains of an elevator frame, as if it signified an elevator coming down. Instead, a huge surge of scrap metal plummeted down ontop of the platform, with a loud clank ringing through the level. Logan looked toward the fresh heap expectantly, walking over to it to rummage through the pile.

Upon close inspection and scavenging, a battered pinth helmet was found, a large crack found in its base. The construct studied it, and fially came to the conclsusion of "New Helmet good". With that, Logan carried the helmet off to find a place to take the top off, to use as a replacement for his own domed head that was starting to rust away, exposing his intricate wiring.

A vicious...chat?

((Yes Feline-Grenadier it was for you :P))

Waiting for just a moment longer in the brush, Rigger exploded from his hiding place to confront his foe. His arms raised above his bloody maw, he looked at the...girl? Rigger's arms fell to the floor as he tilted his head and furrowed his brow in confusion. Before him stood not a gremlin, mechination, or anything threatening at all, but a miniature woman instead. Even if it was an enemy, Rigger would have let it go at this size; killing off whelps scares away and hurts the heard. In the confusion, the girl must've fallen down some how, causing here hair to fall out of it's tidy ponytail; her eyes burning through him.

"Who are you"

Rigger hissed before fully realizing that she was human. 'Courtesy' was not his talent, but he did give it his best shot. Standing up straigt, he wiped the blood from his mouth, and removed his wolver hood. Clearing his throught, he addressed the woman again.

"I am Rigger"

He said, tapping himself on the chest

"And you are?"

Allow me to outline some of the racial restrictions.
*Knights must be human.
*Constructs must have no organic components at all.
*Gremlins must be gremlin.
*Fiends must be fiendish.
*Slime must be slimy, squishy, and jelly-like.
*Beasts must be beastly.
*Undead must have once been dead, but no longer.

Your knight is not human. That must change.

@Edolas: Yes, I would much prefer that. I would like everyone to start off in the Mission Lobby, if possible. If not, simply state the type of level you would like to be in, and I will try to find accommodation.

Alright, let me try an Application here
Name:
Rezure
Gender:
Female (Because why not)
Life Stage
Mid-Adult
Appearance
Because you asked for one and this is the best I could find.
Bio
Starting off as a simple working Gremlin tasked with burning the wasted metal down to scrap and smelting it for more work in the Clockworks this Rezure found his work boring. Wanting more out of life he picked up one of the Scortcher's ignition sticks, slapping them together on the ground causing flames to heat up the metal faster then when normally worked on in half the time. It was like watching joy jump across the metals he worked on. As fun as it was to speed her work with the ignition sticks she found her work was never quite done, always feeling a little hollow inside when she was away from work. However she was also the smith behind the brake away with Emberlight and the King's forces.
_
Knowing the Kings ideals were wrong, at least he believe they where wrong, Rezure packed her backs and left for the outcast home of her fellow Gremlins with the intent of working to help make the roads and Clockworks safer for all. However shortly after starting her new work, the Gremlin was drafted into a army given the rights to behold the Flame Units of the Gremlin order. Thou his hands where meant for building, she slowly found that hollow hole in her heart was being filled with each creature that stood in the way of her weapon. Thou fearing for her sanity she turned away from the men and women she protected for help, maybe some one above to save her from the flames that she was trained to kill with, perhaps they could aid her. If only she could reach the surface.

Sorry wrong href. It was herf.

And...

OOC : I pull the power-play card on Blessid! I did not give you my permission, so if you could please delete your part starting from the "she was still staring at Rigger" part to the bottom, or at least change it so you aren't controlling Lindsey?

BIC :

By the time Rigger had realized he was about to attack a Knight, Lindsey was bracing herself to get hit by whatever what was coming...

...though the blow never came. Hesitant to open her eyes, Lindsey still held her stiffened pose until she decided it was safe, only to open her eyes to see an older man...give or take thirty or forty years...

His arms dropped to the floor, and his brows were furrowed in confusion. Lindsey was equally bewildered, and she only looked at his bloodstained mouth and fur-clad attire in...not wonder, but not fear either.

"..."

There was some silence between the two before Lindsey managed to find her voice again.

"...um...d-did you need something?" she asked, her voice still a little shaky from the shock not half a minute ago...

"...m-my name's Lindsey..." she continued, "...I didn't...think that there'd be any other Kn-knights around here..."

Name: GaleGender: MaleLife

Name: Gale

Gender: Male

Life stage: Young child (like, 10 years of life)

Appearance: A bit short, yellow PC, usually with a book. Oh, and he's an owlite, which I see as owl-like knights.

Personality: Logical, curious, and always will try and find a more interesting way of doing things.

Bio: Owlites, Magic humanoid birds of ole, were a curious bunch. They had a mastery of the elements that to the outside observer appeared as magic. Once, when one owlite scientist was trying to create an immortality potion, He asked Gale, a young student, if he'd like to test it. Agreeing, he tried it and immediately fell into a deep sleep, easily mistakable for death. The scientist was jailed, and Gale was buried with owlite body preservatives (these are always used, as owlites respect dead bodies. It also means his body hasn't decayed). When he wakes, he has absolutely no Idea what's going on.

Other notes: Owlites are trained later in their lives in their art, so he doesn't have any owlite magic. If you have any problems with him being an owlite, I'll be fine with changing it. Oh, and If I'm passed, may I start at depth 1 in a candle stick keep for character plot?

@Creeperlucario: Accepted.

@Darkwatck: Accepted.

@Dmatter: Accepted. I'll see what I can do about the start location.

@Colray: Accepted. Prepare to take constructive criticism about your story posts. ;)

Note to everyone: We have a lot of players, which means someone is likely to get ignored or left behind. Thus, if you want to stay in the story, you need to be at the top of your game. I reckon that goes for me too, so I'll do my best to keep the ball rolling.

Have fun!

Something lurks in the distance.

The ground shook in terror as a mighty roar echoed through the level. Depth 1 is usually mild, containing weak monsters that are unchallenging and easy to slay. But something has changed this time around.

They were being hunted.

It sounded like the roar of a Snarbolax.

According to the map, I start at depth 3 right? Should I wait for others to reach it, or should I start immediately? I might need to sleep soon, however.

D3: Candlestick Keep: Fear the Dark

((I will change this if I am wrong))

Walking around the stopping grounds of a race pass, Rezure sighed holding up building Plans and what looked like a Lantern with a Blue Flame. It was designed to keep the spirits away, since the Grimelkin where known to attack just about anyone who was not a Cat. For her reasons for being here were too fold. The First was to make some repairs and Upgrades to the Keep, the second was to try and escape to Cradle, her sanity being her true prize. Lifting up the lantern a little the Female Incinerator sighed with a angry grimes, it seemed she found the problem. Some one or something knocked some of the metal binding of the area out of place, other Gremlin's from Emberlight as well as the Colonists where here as well blocking off the area.

Having all shared a common love of there home the furry creatures banded to gether to fix there home many a times. Armed with nothing but her tools which would be left behind once she was done, the Gremlin dawned her Flame Unit and started heating up the Metal before her, the smell of steel burning Cherry read always made the little creature smile. Yelling something at one of the other Gremlins in the same spot she slapped it over the head and pointed to the Cherry Hot metal to start working it back into shape, it was not going to do it by its self at least. Placing the head of the Flame Unit on her back in it's holder she reached over and took one of the hammers sitting on the side, the sound of metal forming metal was heard threw out the whole of the Level.

Some where in her mind, she saw images of a place she was not to go. The old home of the Gremlin's, weapon in hand as she escaped the casting forge. Fire everywhere and the pleasure she felt as the hollow in her heart was filled by the warmth of her dragons breath device. It was bliss that seemed to send her back and forth between worry and love of her new found skill outside of her craft. Yet like a Zealot of the religion she right back to work on the Clockworks in Emberlight, only this time as a Free inventor and studing the Clockworks better then any since her time.

Once I am done here, I am heading up to those Knights. I feel it every day, little by little, I am slipping away into some kind of madness of my own design. The Knights are my only hope now, perhaps I can talk about working for them like the two Forge men I heard about.

The other Gremlins called to her as the Metal had cooled down, with a sigh she picked up the head of her Flame unit and lit it back up. The pattern went on, and on, and on...

((Please tell me I am doing this all right :L))

Conversations

{{
I'll let Blessid-Bombardier and Feline-Grenadier work on their conversation for a while before coercing them to move on.
Valorai's Logan ("low-gun" is a great mnemonic, btw. I don't normally remember character names that well.) is in D2, the Deconstruction Zone.
Sapphire may remain in the Gloaming Wildwoods. I'll have something for her shortly.
Dmatter, have Gale and Rezure meet up somehow.
}}

As Sapphire trekked deeper into the woods, she failed to notice a trio of fiery red eyes staring at her from the bushes behind her. Seeing no obvious weapon on her, the beast rustled the leaves, hoping to coerce her into revealing her armament.

Ookay, let us do this!

Sapphire set her foot down and paused. The faint yet unmistakable rustling of foliage caught her attention easily. Though clearly not seeming as much, the foreboding moment terrified her. Anxiously, she glanced back, not immediately eyeing anything near the bushes around her. Reaching up, she pulled her hood farther down, and picked up her pace, as her heart began to race.

Perhaps venturing out here was not such an excellent idea after all, she thought in retrospect. Glancing back fervently, she dashed behind a tree, trying to calm her accelerating heart. The sense of fear gripped her, as her mind ran rampant. Slinking down, she pulled herself into a hug and tried to calm herself.

Unarmed.

Could it be? An unarmed knight? Snarble stepped through the bushes, revealing his imposing, beastly form, replete with dangerous claws, a shadowy hide that seemed to clothe the world in darkness, and vicious fangs as long as any Cutter. He rose to an impressive height that dwarfed the small, shivering knight cowering before him.

He slowly approached the little knight, daring her for the last time to draw any weapons she had. Surely there was no such thing as an unarmed knight!

Ask not for whom the beast roars

"You are scaring away the game"

Rigger said flatly, as he picked a small twig off his shoulder and crossed his arms.

"Whats the spira-"

-GRAAAAAWR-

The aloofness faded from Rigger's eyes, replaced by obvious fear. This wasn't right, there aren't supposed to be monstrocites like that, not here. Rigger looked over to the girl for answers for a moment, half expecting her to shrug it off as a prank. But it was so real, so vivid that no machine could've caught it's gut-wrenching wail quite so well. The snarbolax is here. He grabbed the young girl's collar

"Lindy, we need to go now"

Looking back over his shoulder a moment before returning to the girl

"Only what you can carry, move"

He tossed the girl back slightly, releasing her from his grasp. Though he didn't quite trust his newfound aquiatence, she was still of high use to him, an....escape plan if things were to truely get out of hand

This is what I get for hunting without a blade ---- It was depth one!
