After epic bombing on Haze Bomb crafting 95% no UVs, the rest crappy UVs, I decided to try Plate Shield so I can make a Volcanic Plate Shield. My Grey Owlite Shield is great but just looks too bright and shiny for Vog, Nameless and Red Rose sets. What do you know, first 2 plate shield synths came out UV High and Max. I haven't decided which to keep so doing price check to help me decide which to sell and which to keep.

Price checks on:
1) Plate Shield UV Normal Defense-High
2) Plate Shield UV Shadow Defense-Maximum

does that shadow UV scale

does that shadow UV scale with shield level at all? 1.5 bars for a max UV seems awfully low

I'm not sure how to answer your question, so I am asking the experts in the General Section. Since we now have an Auction House in game, the Bazaar Section of the forum has less traffic.

I think normal defense UVs on plate items are useless because any 5* version has the maximum possible value of it.

i think stats can go beyond the max bar value, otherwise it would make CIV and leviathan blade equivalent in damage.

It helps people to make informed decisions on upgrade paths rather than rely on pure speculation. More research has been done on damage values for weapons than on armor, helmet and shield protection values.

About the UV shields

I was looking for a price check but seemed to have generated much interest from various people who shall remain nameless since they did not post here. No real price value was ever determined. Only discussion about UV values.

I'm the scientific type too, so I may test various UVs when PvP comes up with a friend or in various areas and depths in the Arcade. Thank you for inspiring curiosity guys.

Well you seem to be right, I made some tests myself with a plain volcanic plate helmet and another one with normal defense bonus, and my overall defense bar grows higher with the UV helmet. I suppose the same happens with the shield defense. So I guess the shield is indeed valuable, although I wouldn't know what price to put on it, maybe around 5k CE?
