I decided that my first 4* would be the catalyzer, but i cant decide wich path should I take, any advice?
Industrial Catalyzer or Toxic Catalyzer
Biohazard is best for jelly arenas. For everything else Neutralizer.
Well, I personally prefer using my Biohazard over my Neutralizer, but that's basically because anywhere I'd take Neutralizer, I just take Valiance instead.
So I'd say Toxic Catalyzer unless Catalyzer is your only gun. If it's your only gun, then Industrial Catalyzer is the better choice.
Shadow (plus poison) vs Normal Damage
I went with a Neutralizer.
Hey, you can always get another one if you don't like it :P
Catas are great! :D
I'm highly opinionated on this debate. If you have both, usually one of the two things happen:
1. You use Biohazard alone in levels that are applicable (RJP, OCH, Deconstruction Zones, etc.) and you have a blast as it's easy to fight gremlins with it, especially dodgy ones, as well as plain fun to use against slimes cause they clump together so much that there couldn't be a gun more suited to the job of destroying them completely. It's also one of the most useful Gunslinger guns to use in PvP thanks to slow bullets and strong poison that really wrecks enemies.
2. You bring Neutralizer, but using it alone against the other 4/6 enemy types isn't nearly as fun imho (Beasts are nope, Constructs are a maybe since they have a variety of monsters, Undead are either too dodgy or too mobility lacking, Fiends, gods save you for trying...), so you either stop using it...or you dual switch it with Valiance for a surprisingly fun time vs. all enemies; launch a Neut charge, shoot normal shots with Valiance, detonate the charge with normal Neut shots...it's actually pretty devastating combo in it's own right.
Personally, I'd get Biohazard cause it's fun by itself, even more so if you already have an arsenal that covers all damage types. You can't go wrong with Neutralizer either, considering you can use it asbsolutely anywhere, but you're missing out on strong poison and a good PvP weapon. If you have a Valiance though, go pair it with Neutralizer and you got yourself a really strong and fun gun combo to destroy enemies with.
I did use the poision variant because it has been the only poision gun that got full moveability that time; the only other poision gun has been an autogun-variant (Plague Needle) that leaves you completely unable to dodge while shooting.
And I love status: One launched catalyzer explosion got a pretty relieable chance to poision enemies that is exspecially useful if you don't have a maskeraith.
This gun can also play a good support role, if you do only one charge on an enemy (and catas do have the fastest charge time as far as I know) and let this explode.
It is also good for killing gremlin menders, if you have trouble with their healing skill: first its poision doesn't allow them to heal and secound you can use charge orbs and kill them with one strike.
For Industrial's defense I need to say that I did not get one yet.
If you go with Chaos set, Neutralizer pairs surprisingly well with vortex bombs in far more situations than Biohazard lets you act.
ex:
- Vs shielding robots: first shot to force shield while you charge, then charge + detonate to catch them before they can shield again
- Vs devilites: don't charge, use normal attacks
- Vs wolvers: Vortex --> stand with vortex behind you and shoot 1 towards wolvers, then charge into the vortex and detonate (they teleport behind you and get caught in the vortex, where you can get an easy charge hit.
- Vs everything else: Vortex --> charge 1, detonate 1, charge 1, detonate 1.
Without vortex, then you need to kind of lay 1-4 charges then positioning (either by kiting or shield pushing) and detonating them
As far as Biohazard goes:
- Vs. jellies: 2-4 charges and detonate.
- Vs. gremlins: Vortex-detonate OR just keep spamming normal attacks: gremlin dodge will keep them from attacking you (so it's a safe option), and if you can either leadshoot (important skill) or trap them against a wall, they won't be a problem either.
- Vs. slimes: let them combine, then spam charges.

To give an idea of how it compares with other guns in a real-use situation:
My gunner loadout for Firestorm Citadel is: Chaos set + damage trinket (max damage, CTR, and ASI for guns, using sprite perks and trinkets)
Neutralizer - 500 damage charges (<1 second charge with max CTR) starting from depth 24
Nova Driver - 276? per normal bullet starting from depth 24
Electron Vortex - utility
Blitz Needle - unrelated to normal monsters
The alchemer works better for groups of 2-4 zombies, but 5+? Vortex+Neutralizer kills way faster.
If it means anything, the Catalyzers excel in HUGE groups of enemies. Valiance cannot deal with large groups of monsters (5+) anywhere near the way that Neutralizer can. Unfortunately, the 'huge group' thing is a bit of a niche in terms of optimization for guns, but it just goes to show where their strengths are in comparison to other guns.
Usually people discuss items in terms of their 5-star versions --- in this case, Neutralizer vs. Biohazard --- because that's where everything ends up. The differences between these two guns are subtle. For example, Neutralizer's damage is larger than Biohazard's damage against neutral targets (constructs, beasts). Also, these guns act somewhat like bombs, in that you often damage multiple monsters at once. For these reasons (and maybe others), people tend to favor Neutralizer.
