2nd suggestion in a week, ohboyherewego.

Lets say you've logged in, went off your desktop/laptop for a bathroom break or something. Then arrives your sibling, adversary, whoever and gets into your character selection screen. All they have to do it click the delete button and type the character's name.

Of course it's your fault for leaving it on there.. but then again, it's way too easy to let it slip.

Here's my idea:
Allow us to generate an optional security code to the deletion of our characters.

That'd might solve the deletion of your character, but someone could still log in and mess around with your character.

Let us apply the code to logging in as well.

..and if we forget this code of ours?

Let us link the code to an e-mail so that when we forget (somehow) we can get it back.

Juvon this is the stupidest idea ever, I don't want to type in all these codes. I just want to play the game.

This function should be optional, many do not like the long process of remembering numbers and just want to get into the game asap.

Tell me what you guys think!

Unnecessary

If your character accidentally gets deleted, just mail support, they can fix this for you/restore your character.
If you're worried about someone logging in, log out of your steam, kongregate, armorgames, etc. account after you're done playing and don't set options to remember your account info/auto-log in. These accounts are password protected already.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

I think that characted deletion deletes the character from the database, so contacting support wouldn't solve anything other that them saying "quoting the ToS: your account is your responsibility". so yeah, I don't think this is a bad idea.

@Thunder:
I've had a friend quit and delete their account and then get it back with all their same equipment so apparently they can.

As being one of the more paranoid Spiral Knight players, I demand this right now.

I need to enter some sort of password for everything. In a lot of cases, I have to enter TWO passwords. Sometimes I may even get to one of those sites that puts up a series of digit codes to make sure that it's not some kind of hack-bot trying to get into someone's account. If you are still capable of logging in correctly, it sends a verification code to an e-mail.

I like those sites.

Not a bad implementation

I'd like this feature too. It's not exactly mandatory or anything, but it would be a nice feature. Maybe have checkboxes for each option? (You need to enter the code to change these options) It wouldn't be a bad thing to do. If I somehow misplace my cursor and click a few times, the likelihood of me doing the same with my keyboard is a lot less likely.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid like Bamzalot.
