Victora Moireton stood on the balcony, her cloak billowing in the wind. She never enjoyed cold days like these. Then again, she didn't enjoy any days. A knight marched up to her and saluted.

"At ease." Victoria sighed. "What is it?"

"Ma'am! We have gotten word of the Morai making movements across the Requiem Sea." The knight reported. "They have already sunk some of our supply ships and we've lost contact with the ships we sent after them, most likely they're sunken as well."

"Mhmm..." She nodded, her breath forming tiny clouds in the air. "Where are they headed?"

"Knossos Ridge."

Victoria laughed quietly.

They're attacking Knossos? That's a stupid move. She thought. Wait...no, they must be prepared.

She turned back to the knight and pointed at him.

"Get me Nychta."

Thurian "Red-Eye" Nychta

Sitting in his living room with his son Thurian was helping his son learn the ways of the Wardens. Ten Generations of the boys family had been a warden, and Thurian was no different.

"Daud, the hardest part is just training. Of course fighting but thats only when needed. You will be fine, now go on you have an exame to get ready for and I know your grandparents want to give you a gift before you leave."

With that said Thurain smiled and pat his son shoulder, never could have been more proud as a father then right then. His son, his own flesh and blood was on his way to joining the family business. That boy will be well known one day. Even at this young age Daud had proven himself a capable fighter and able to make choice's at a moment's notice. Once Daud was out of the room Thurian leaned back slightly in a yawn as he looked up at his roof. Just another day in paradise.

Coming back to himself Thurian went to his weapon rack and daunded his sward and shield. Standing like a monster as he was Thurian carried around fifty pounds in weapons and Ammo for his pride and joy. The Sniping rifle which he was well known for. Holding it in his hand Thurian started his venture out for his shift. Just another day of guard duty. With the sound of his suit sealing Thurian smiled as he left his home heading to the current station of the Warden's to take his orders for the day.

The Messenger

The messenger, panting and out of breath, saw Thurian Nychta's hulk of a figure on the outskirts of his sight. He sighed with relief and ran towards the Warden.

He saluted him, and presented him with a message.

"Sir!" The messaged stated. "The General of the Northern Front wishes to speak with you. She says it's urgent business, something about Morai ships, and you need to meet her at the Northern Garrison immediately."

"Right, does she expect me to run? I think I only get maybe ten yards to the gallon in this suit." Thurian chuckled as she held his rifle and looked down at the boy. "Here kid, you look out of breath." With that said Thurian reached behind his back taking out a canteen that was attached to his belt. Instead of asking for it back the Warden just attached his weapon to the hoslter on his back and took off.

Heavy pounding armor, bullet casings, and clips all shook as the hulk of a man made as much progress as he could. Thanks to his training he was able to make the feet in a reasonable time for the situation, but it always turned heads to see a Warden of all things running down the road, specially a Sniper.

Standing before the General Thruian turned took off his helm exposing his sweating face and tucked his helm in the crock of his arm. "Warden Thurian "Red-Eye" Nychta, reporting for duty sir!"

Enter Sistele

It was not her best morning.

Sistele woke up with a splitting headache and roaring eardrums. Musta had too much t'drink... she thought to herself as she tried (and failed) to sit up in her sleeping bag. She soon discovered that she was trapped in it and could hardly move at all.

"ALL RIGHT, WHO ZIPPED UP MY SLEEPING BAG!?" she yelled angrily. A slight giggle could be heard just outside the tent, followed by the cheeky face of her superior, Golan Sergio. "Why, you did, my dear," he cooed teasingly. Sistele looked down, blinked a couple times and banged her head on the ground. "Well, you DON'T HAVE TO RUB IT IN!" she shouted at him. Golan's face soon disappeared with another chuckle, leaving her wide awake (and still achy).

Once she figured out how to get out of her sleeping bag, she wearily snapped on her armor and stepped outside. The morning horizon was a brilliant orange, and wispy pink clouds zoomed aimlessly through the dreamy red sky. The ubiquitous snipes were chirping away merrily, undoubtedly making mating calls, and one of them had taken an interest in Sistele. Not one to push away something so sweet and gentle, she grudgingly consented to let it sit on her head.

That is, until something warm poured onto her hair.

"OH, EW, YUCK! STUPID SNIPE!" she shrieked as she batted furiously at the offending snipe. "YOU'RE GOIN' DOWN, YOU LITTLE GUTTERSNIPE!" She slashed wildly at it as best she could, but it flew away out of reach of her blade. "Ugh, STUPID BIRD!" Unable to take revenge on the snipe for messing up her hair, she stomped over to the stream and dipped her head in it. "Aren't snipes just the cutest things?" Golan muttered dreamily beside her.

He awoke three hours later with a bloody nose and a splitting headache of his own.

Knossos

General Moireton turned on her heels, facing the Warden that stood before her. He knew him fairly well. Thurian Nychta, accomplished Warden and yet a sniper or surprising skill for his kind. Her boots clicked and clacked at she made her way to the chair that was across from Thurian.

"At ease. Sit." She commanded. As the Warden sat, she drank some of the tea that was splayed out before them on the table.

"Now, I assume you know the importance of Knossos Ridge, the main PoW facility in our territory, yes? And I assume you know that all the Deathbringers and Morai Officers we've captured are held there, correct?" She didn't wait for him to answer.

"The Morai are mounting a naval attack on the prison." She said. "I need you and some very good soldiers to help me make sure they never reach the shoreline. Understood?"

Barbossa stood at the head of his ship, commanding the slaves to push onwards. It was foggy, ad perfect for a sneak attack. He commanded his forces to draw back, lie in wait for the Order ships.

"On my command, we attack.

"If I may, it would be better to send in some one less standing out then I. Also, not to be rude but I will stand. Chairs are not my friends in this armor type sir." Looking at the food Thruain dared not take any for the risk of being rude nor the fact he was not given permission to touch it.

"Yes I know well of Knossos. Having wounded a great many people in that camp myself but I can't brag for it makes one dull." Turning around Thurain looked in the direction of the Sea. "I have to ask; why pick me there are more people better suited for close ranged attacking then I. Sure I learned how to 'quick scope' as the term is, I call it understanding peoples movements. A ranged fighter protecting something that needs up closer fighters is not best idea unless you're going to have me counter sniping. If that is the case, permission to hear reports?"

Sir?!

He called me sir...*sigh*...

Victoria waved off her internal disappoint and returned to the matter at hand.

"We will be at sea. Our ships will ensure the Morai do not reach Knossos' shores." She said. "You will assist in picking off key targets on that ship, and when you're also a sniper you have the luxury of doing it from a distance. You will join us in close combat when we board the enemy ships. You're a Warden, you should be good at these things."

Who else should I have here...She thought. I feel as if I'm missing someone...

"Yes Sir!" Thurian said as he stood at attention waiting for orders.

Damn it, they know I am not the best when it comes to sword play. Well I have used my rifle in close quarter's combat before, but on a boat. No they need to put me on the furthest boat back. At least that way when it comes to fighting I can make the adjustments for floating, bullet drop, temperature, air presure, distance, and Lunar effects on my bullet. I hate sea combat so much.

Holding his helm in the crock of his arm Thruian remained in his stance of attention, unbreaking as he looked dead forwards.

We need more Morai.

Three hours later

Sistele felt like her stomach was going to burst. "Someone tell me why I signed up for this..." she complained as she leaned over the railing, feeling nauseated and seasick aboard Barbossa's ship. Her stomach heaved, and a mass of hot fluid poured out of her mouth and polluted the bright blue seawater. "Ugggggghhhh...this sucks..." She wiped her mouth and turned to sit on the deck with her back to the railing. Guess I never was cut out for naval duty.

She glanced up at Barbossa, who stood proudly at the head of the ship. I don't know how he stands it. She shook her head and buried it wearily between her knees.

Dual Characters

XINDAO

A tall, slim figure sits atop an obsidian throne. Flickering holograms and images fly around the throne. Chuckles come from their mouth like air. They polish a dual-sided mace-staff. A gleaming white antler-crown wreaths their head. Glowing runes adorn their skin. The darkness of the dungeon obscures a good view, but the figure looks male. He wears a tunic of half-black, and half, glowing white.

The holograms speed around the throne, information coming from generals and soldiers alike.

Not one is missed by his gleaming pearl eyes.

DAOXIN

A man stands alone in a town ruined by the Morai. He looks over the carnage, twirling his twin Sai's. His dark eyes look over the place that was once a small child's home. Now, the sky here is scarred with the venom of war. The ground is glassed with the heat of hatred. The ruins are covered in the crystalline layer. They ended it all.

A note. Picking it up, there was a scrawling written on it...

I hate them. They don't deserve to be called heroes or villains. These are warmongers. These bloodlusters have taken my own from me. Now, I will make sure they know definition. They will know what it is like to stab a butterfly's wings. To force a wayward soul into a body and tell them they have to live through this hell.

Daoxin throws the note away, disgusted by the pledge of vengeance. What was the point? Would it really solve anything? Nay, they will bring their own suffering. The clouds move quickly overhead, the sea far away, crashing against the shore. He puts his hood up, tucking his Sai's away. The Morai should be near, or haven't gotten far from the harbor. Maybe there was a chance of boarding the ship. Adjusting his hood, and pulling a long collar up and around his mouth to keep out the radiation and dust in the air. Lungs were important things. Better take care of them while you still have them.

Walking out, his short cloak flutters in the breeze of anticipation.

"Sir, have I told you about my son resonantly?"

Thurian smiled as he placed his helm on the table. Pulling out a photo he started smiling with a drunk stuper.

"He joined the Warden's Training course. He is carring on the tridition of his family. His mother would be so proud, after all she was a Warden, mostly intel section but still."

Yes, Your Son...

Oh no...another son-father lecture... Victoria sighed and sat as he droned on about his son, Daud Nychta.

Hopefully he could amount to a decent soldier. Maybe even use to be his father's equal. Hopefully. She thought.

"Wonderful." Victoria muttered stoically. She sipped from her tea again, then put it down, contemplating things nobody else would understand. A ball of ice formed in her left hand and she started to toss it from one hand to the other, deep in thought.

Putting the Photo down Thurain sat down and looked the woman right in the eye.

A switch which was almost completely different then his normal tone of light and happy. It was at this point someone or anyway for that matter could tell he was getting down to business.

At The Bay

DAOXIN

Daoxin puts his hood down. His dark eyes meet the sea. Light glimmers on the water, and torn carnival tarps, rotting stuffed animals, candy, and even a bobbing bumper car, all greet his sight. Out in the distance, a Morai ship sails.

"Well, I have nothing better to do..." He talks to himself. The dark atmosphere doesn't lift. He sheathes his Sai's, and steps onto the floating bumper car. Kicking off the bay, he steadily glides across the water, toward the brutes looking to ravage.

XINDAO

The figure whispers, continuing to chuckle.

Soldier, show them the error of their ways
Give me a reason to judge either side
Line them up to stare into my eyes gaze
And I will find out who it was that lied

He sets out a chess board. His vision of omniscience guides his hand.

White will be the Order.
Black will be the Morai.

Xindao will move first.

Some Hired Help

Victoria sighed and ignored the Warden. The ball of ice in her hand disappeared, and she pulled up a series of dossiers on her HUD. She examined them all thoroughly, but only one stood out.

A mercenary, a professional. Someone who follows orders. Victoria liked soldiers like that. They were reliable and obedient. She sent a message to Ozlo.

"You hired a mercenary, correct? I need her for something."

We Depart on a Golden Sun, and Return on a Red Moon

"Yes actually. Otherwise I wouldn't have called you here." Victoria stated matter-of-factly. "You, Thurian, and myself along with another group of soldiers will be at sea battling Morai ships. They are after Knossos Ridge Prison, and they cannot reach the shore."

Victoria stood abruptly, and walked out of the room, the two knights following her.

"We leave in a few hours. Be ready and get to the docks by 12:00 sharp."

We leave on a golden sun, Victoria recited to herself. And we return on a red moon.

Knock Knock

DAOXIN

The man, sitting on his bumper car amid the mist of the sea spots something in the distance. Yes, your Rightful Majesty. He repeats in his head. So long had he awaited to reveal his character in this story written in the Archive Engine. This was his first log as the character of majestic ventriloquism. Yes, all in good time. However, he had not yet made his character introduction, a thing of such importance that he could not begin to imagine a future without presenting it.

Almost quite literally. Seeing as he had known no existence except that which is literally existential and nothing more. Hell, he can't even remember where he originally came from. Maybe that was the mystery of it all. Who knows? But no time to lament back on the history. Time to finally give his two knocks a go and see if someone would answer. Someone must answer, of course.

He slowly put his hand in the water, and sped the bumper car toward the Morai ship of Barbossa herself.

The Requiem Sea

Victoria stood on the deck of the ship, the night air blowing a cool sensation onto her face. All her assembled forces were here, ready to sail to Knossos and stop the Morai.

"Captain," She said. "Get us moving, we have a ship to catch."

They sailed for quite some time, all three boats gliding along the water, as still as the souls the sea was named for. Soon enough the enemy came into the field of their view. They could vaguely make out the Morai banners. Victoria smiled.

Like rats in a trap...

She turned to her soldiers, and told them her plan.

"Captain, steer us towards the Morai and provide a distraction. Rhea, you're with me and the Captain. Thurian, assist the SON Starhelm and Polaris with the long distance combat. Those two ships will be waiting at both exit routes by the mountains to cut them off when I drive them back. Now move!"

Bastion Bound.

The lone dripping of a leaky ceiling echoed in the cells of the Knossos Ridge Prison. The guards were playing a local card game, gambling what few meager wages they had earned on their short shift. One of the guards swore as he lost another hand as he glanced to his side into a dark, dimly lit cell. The dripping sound of the ceiling continued, accompanied by the occasional scraping of metal in the darkness.

The guard looked back to the hand he had been dealt, cursing under his breath at his undoubtedly shoddy hand. No-one wanted to look into the cell that belonged to Bastion for too long. Even in the dark he gave off an uneasy feeling. Heck, even his blade kept in the prisoner storage was eerie in itself. A shiver crept up his spine, as he studied how to make the best of his hand.

He blamed the creeping feeling he had on the dank and cold environment down in the depths of Knossos Ridge Prison. But he knew that as soon as his shift was over, he'd get out of the place as fast as his legs would carry him. With the oncoming battle, it was a tough call.

KNOCK KNOCK!

DAOXIN

Daoxin (Day-oh-zin)is awakened by a bump. "I'm....I'm here." He grumbles, half-asleep. Realizing his situation, he looks up. There, rising before him, was the ship of the Barbossa. It seems they had found an Order ship, and were attacking with their force seizing the conflict. They could most likely be victorious if given the correct form and leadership. The water begins getting choppier, more unstable. The bumper car Daoxin stands upon begins to rock vigorously. "Oh my," he exclaims to himself. Bringing his hand up, he slams his fist into the ship twice, resounding across the hull. "I AM IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE!" He shouts over the ocean's rising voice. "IF SOMEONE COULD LIFT ME UP, THAT'D BE FANTASTIC!" His voice cracks.

Who would come to see him? Well, it has to be someone, of course.

Standing still Thurian just sighed as he dead paned his gun. Using normal rounds the Warden went about just aiming for the gut, after all they might need prisoner's. Being a Warden made it easier for him to scare off the troops but what scared more people was the simple fact that he was able to aim rather quickly down his rifle, even at close range.

Seems the Morai are rushing into this recklessly. At this rate I really doubt they will win anything more then a trip to a PoW camp. To his side Thruian heard the beating of something, but currently a battle was going on thus he just marked it off as if someone had gotten knocked over board, since they where all waring armor falling into the water was a death scentance. Dropping the clip of his rifle Thurian quickly loaded up a second clip of normal shots. So far his death toll was zero, but of those who were shot by him, none of them were getting up at least in the since of will to fight.

Lifting the rifle up, Thurian looked down the scope, to the left of the dot was a Morai troop, stock ground soldier. To the right was a Sniper. Well this guy is going to love me. I honor many things but if your going to be a sniper then you best be ready for death. With no more though Thurian took a breath holding it as he steadied his aim. Slowly he moved to the left as he kept the dot on the man's head. At this range I don't need to make him run into my shot. No, I need to place it as the bot sways. Watching the enemy sniper he had a since of dread as he saw the enemy take a shot. The sound of burning metal was heard as the round missed Thurian's head by an inch or so. Releasing his breath Thurain waited for the wave to hit it's peak then shot.

At this point the water had started to reced causing the enemy sniper to travel up into the shot as the Swell hit his boat lifting him up. The rifle was dropped from the enemies had as he reached up grabbing at the new hole where his exposed eye was. Aiming for anything else but that eye was too much of a risk...Now are their any more snipers? Slowly Thurian fanned the enemy boat taking careful aim to help his lower ranked soldier's in their efferts. Still the sound of his gun firing would not go unseen or heard, even if he was in the back of the tub.

Daoxin was impatient. And so, with a swift movement of his hand, a fiery hole opened in the ship, the edges sizzling. He jumped and tumbled in, and quickly whipped around. Waving his hand, ice put out the fire and covered the hull, so the ship wouldn't sink. He walked quickly through the place, searching for things. Oh, the leisure of a clepto.

"Mmmh, this'll do." He looks around, and pockets a rum bottle in the tight waistband of his belt. Pulling down his face mask, he lets out a few breaths. "This is strange. Why is no one down here...?" He whispers to himself in the dark of the sleeping quarters. He walks quickly, taking some money from bags stashed in hiding places around the beds and beneath floorboards. He stopped, thinking he heard someone coming. He glides over to the side of the stairs and crouches, drawing his short cloak close and his long hood out of the way.

Victoria didn't like heroic banter during fights. She thought of them as too cliched. So she promptly reversed gravity, making Barbossa slide violently backwards and land on the door. Now the deck was a wall and the walls were the floor.

She landed next to Barbossa and sighed stoically.

Why do they always think that's funny...

She watched her ships get fired on, and immediately leapt into the line of fire. Reversing gravity, the cannonballs plunged downwards into the water, and Victoria did too. She came out from under he water and started to swim back to the ship.

Studying the Battle field

Saying on the deck Thurian looked around, part with his free eye, part with the iron sights of his weapon rather then the scope. These ships are too small at least for some one like me to be on them...The smart idea would be to put a hole in the enemies vessel, but that would mean no prisoner's and they would try and kill us to the last man to take our ship. So sinking their tub is out of the question. Its best to just take down the captain. Once that person, who ever it is, is out of the way then we could at least rush them off.

Turning slowly Thurian took a shot at an engaging sniper before reloading his weapon. The sound of the expended bullet casings hitting the deck and rolling with the swells of the sea were starting to take there toil on the Warden as he felt a lurch in his gut. With pure will power the man was able to hold down his lunch and keep his aim true. It was right then a sight caught is eye a woman, he guessed because of her attired, from the Morai was trying to help a Spiral. More then likely to kill that knight...Wait, is that the Captain! Damn got to make this shot count. Taking a deep breath Thurain lined his shot.

The smart thing would be to aim for the head, but she was no sniper thus he had no reason to kill her. Instead he aimed for the legs, wanting to disable the woman from combat instead of killing her right out. Releasing his held breath Thurian took the shot, aimed for the leg closes to his possession, it was at that moment the swells of the sea lifted him up slightly.

((Thin, I will leave that part up to you. I am not trying to kill, just disable from combat. Thurain only kills those he needs and Snipers.))

"YAAAAARRGH!! Ow ow ow ow ow! Sssssst..." She inhaled sharply as she stumbled to the deck, nursing her wounded leg. "WHO DID THAT!?" she shouted over the waves. Oh. Dam snipers. She gave Thurian a rude gesture and ducked below the railings, still holding onto the rope. That was a really low blow, dude. I am SO gonna cut your head off once I get over there.

The Cycle

Great, another big angry woman out to kill me.

Shaking his head Thurian turned and started to take down as much as he could. It seemed the Morai where not expecting much in the way of gun fights for the number of Sniper's where surprising lacking. Soon it came down to the big gorilla and a hand for of lackies who where moving the wounded. Medical troops can't be harmed. Wounded are no longer part of battle unless they want their lifes to end...Right, all I have to do at this point is find the enemy Captain and this will all be over.

Sistele and Victoria

Victoria raised an eyebrow as the Morai soldier lifted her up. Before she could use her sword, the woman was shot in the leg, and quickly scurried below decks.

Ok...

She then turned back to Barbossa, still dazed from the recent gravity change. She unsheathed her sword and gun, and fired straight at the man's chest.

Battle on multiple fronts

Sistele took the opportunity to kick at Victoria and slash Vesuvius across her back. "Take that!" she exclaimed gleefully, ignoring the pain in her wounded leg.

OOC: If the attacks connect without inflicting any initial harm, Victoria will be launched a good ways away (and maybe suffer some trauma), since Sistele is incredibly strong.

Backstabbed!

Victoria was launched violently forward, bleeding from her right shoulder blade. She looked up to see Sistele there, holding a gigantic sword glowing with fiery energy. The pain in her back was blurring her vision.

Hmmm...could pose some possible threat... She thought. A glowing sigil materialized on her palm and gravity was reversed again. Everyone on the ship lurched violently to the left, and once more the walls were now floors and the floor was now a wall. Victoria coordinated her movements and landed on top of Sistele, even thought her body felt quite taxed.

But can be dealt with.

She grabbed her by the neck, and they both launched into the air as gravity was reversed again. The ship slowly followed them into the sky, but they were both well above the ground.

Gravity, nooo

Slinging his rifle on his back THurian did his best to hold onto the ship as gravity shifted. And this is why everyone hates you Victoria. I sware if I toss my lunch, its going in your lap.

Once Gravity had shifted back to normal, well as normal as it was going to get, Thurian rushed to the helm of the ship in order to get closer to the enemy ship. Sure it was stupid, but the two had drifted apart from the start of the battle. With no snipers around it was easy enough feet, besides, Thurian had one more then a number on the enemy they had to be thinking there were more then just one Sharpshooter on board the Spiral's ship.

Smart move: Turn the ship around and leave. Dumb move: Stay and fight because why not...choice we stay and fight.

Conflict

DAOXIN

He slowly began inching around and up the stairs. Opening the door and sneaking out, he ducked out of view behind some barrels. Oh my Vog. Some kind of cat-fight perhaps? He inquired silently, staring at the women engaging each other. Bringing out his Sai's, he climbs onto the barrels, jumping and stabbing into a mast. He makes his way to the Crow Nest to get a better vantage point of the situation. Hopefully, no one would notice or want to engage with him. After all, he was only a gentleman.

One that may or may not sink one of these ships. That's the thing with battles. No one sees the full picture. But the forecast did lack in giving way to enlightenment. But currently, there WAS a vulnerable part in the ships hull that was made of nothing but ice.

Adjusting his face mask and hood to get a better view, he pulls a Sleep Seal from the handle of his knife.

Barbossa was surprised.

Barbossa was surprised. Surely ships don't float in the air? He paused for a second, and felt one of the Spiral fodder scratch him. He whipped around and cut the man's head off, then turned his attention back to the others. He was severely outnumbered, and if he jumped, he'd die.

(Can the Morai win this battle? It would give the Spirals motivation to continue, and Lord what's-his-name needs to get out. If the answer is yes, the Morais can win, then read this part below.)

Barbossa rolled behind a crate, and looked down. About five of his ships had forced their way through and were now sailing towards Knossos, and the others were holding the Order Ships off.

He grinned.

Falling Battleship, Inbound

Victoria looked down and saw her ships getting pummeled by Morai gunfire. The flagship was headed straight to Knossos. Victoria then released her grip on Sistele, and she continued to float up. Victoria once more, reversed gravity, and everyone including Sistele fell back onto the ship.

She directed her gravity field towards the flagship, and he ship rushed forward, on a collision course with the flagship.

"Brace for impact!" She yelled.
