Victora Moireton stood on the balcony, her cloak billowing in the wind. She never enjoyed cold days like these. Then again, she didn't enjoy any days. A knight marched up to her and saluted.
"At ease." Victoria sighed. "What is it?"
"Ma'am! We have gotten word of the Morai making movements across the Requiem Sea." The knight reported. "They have already sunk some of our supply ships and we've lost contact with the ships we sent after them, most likely they're sunken as well."
"Mhmm..." She nodded, her breath forming tiny clouds in the air. "Where are they headed?"
"Knossos Ridge."
Victoria laughed quietly.
They're attacking Knossos? That's a stupid move. She thought. Wait...no, they must be prepared.
She turned back to the knight and pointed at him.
"Get me Nychta."
Sitting in his living room with his son Thurian was helping his son learn the ways of the Wardens. Ten Generations of the boys family had been a warden, and Thurian was no different.
"Daud, the hardest part is just training. Of course fighting but thats only when needed. You will be fine, now go on you have an exame to get ready for and I know your grandparents want to give you a gift before you leave."
With that said Thurain smiled and pat his son shoulder, never could have been more proud as a father then right then. His son, his own flesh and blood was on his way to joining the family business. That boy will be well known one day. Even at this young age Daud had proven himself a capable fighter and able to make choice's at a moment's notice. Once Daud was out of the room Thurian leaned back slightly in a yawn as he looked up at his roof. Just another day in paradise.
Coming back to himself Thurian went to his weapon rack and daunded his sward and shield. Standing like a monster as he was Thurian carried around fifty pounds in weapons and Ammo for his pride and joy. The Sniping rifle which he was well known for. Holding it in his hand Thurian started his venture out for his shift. Just another day of guard duty. With the sound of his suit sealing Thurian smiled as he left his home heading to the current station of the Warden's to take his orders for the day.
