A couple of other MMOs have stumbled upon a great idea, they're called, money bombs.

So basically, you buy one from a shop and you set it off in haven somewhere, kinda like confetti. Except that they drop all this loot. But the player that bought the money bomb can't pick the loot up. People always like other people giving gifts to others, and chances are if one money bomb drops, some other people will return the favor. And maybe some other people will join in, and soon enough you have a party in haven.

This idea has been tested in other games before and is one of the most sensible suggestions to come out of the suggestion thread in a long time.

Seems pretty interesting. Would be kind of cool if some of the richer players just randomly started setting off bombs.

How would they work, though? Do you buy it with crowns, and when you set it off that many crowns come out? Something similar?

I think that would probably be the way that it would work, you pay crowns and crowns come out.

I doubt that having weapons would work very well, since they are already (very) expensive.

It would probably manifest in "tiers" (not clockwork tiers because there's actually a word "tier") One being 100, 1000, 5000, 10,000... etc.

And each of the tiers would drops their respective amount of crowns.

(ALSO heat would not work, since it's applied when leaving a level, and haven is not a level as such.)

I know it was mentioned it that thread but that thread wasn't ABOUT money bombs, it only featured them a fair way down and didn't focus on them.

Also, as I was saying, each of the tiers drop their respective amount of crowns. This means that if you buy a 10,000cr money bomb. It drops 10,000cr.
Alt farming is completely redundant.

still an issue that this game has gone through and surely OOO won't change its stance on it after all this stuff to prevent taking advantage over it.

as a related note, I'm sure the games that thing is in have towns in which you can use weapons, while in SK you couldn't use it in heaven, which means that it's even less likely that it will be used for randomers and more for friends and alts.

in the end, economics. the market is fragile, and you certainly know what missions did to it, so more than one of this bomb around would surely break the maket in one hour.

If I wanted to give money to my alt, I would give it money. If I wanted to give money to friends, I will also give it to them. I'm not sure if you understand, but the OP said you can buy a money bomb costs 10k that gives out 10k crowns. The dev team can also allow these money bombs be used in haven, we already have snowballs, confetti, and the pumpkins. Only difference is that the crowns need to be picked up and I'm pretty sure the dev team is competent enough to allow crowns to be dropped from the money bomb.

loot is shared, so you can't possibly make that it drops 10k cr and the first one to pick it up gets it.

you don't get why alt farming is used or you just did't realize what you were saying?

I have an idea:

The amount of crowns put into the money bucket will be split among the people within a certain radius, like 5 blocks or such. If there is a remainder, it will be converted into random versions of confetti and thrown into the air one after another. So, if there's 21,000 crowns in the bucket, and 9 people are within the radius, then each player will see 2333 crowns (and receive them if they pick them up), with 3 random variations of confetti blasting into the air. In this case, a Storm Caller, Recon Ranger Flare, and Winter Confetti.

How's that?

Abused, but cool idea

Well, unluckily, each knight gets drops generated for his own. One exception are Crystals that everyone can pick up.

If you just make money bombs in the current system it will work like this:
-Get your main and 2 Alts into haven
-Use 10k money bomb on your main
-pick up 10k with he first alt and 10k with your secound alt
-trade 20k money to your main
-repeat

So, it cant work.

But here are 2 solutions:
1st: make dropped money shared by all people like crystals are. So all picked coins can never exceed the buying ammount.
2nd: dont use money for this but another item - Hey what is about sharing any randome confetti to randome players? Bounded ofc.
