Let me start with solution for radiant problem. Radiands could be a reward for prestige missions. For example, you could get one radiant for every 5 prestige points (this is only example). Or make radiant crystal recipe.
Next thing is of course gunner update + new missions.
Then you should make new dlc(s). (You could also make sparks of life drop more often.)

That's it for now. If i'm wrong or if i forgot anything let me know
;)

Seriously now, these "Spiral Knights is dead" threads are getting VERY annoying. People even think that it's dying when it's currently not.

Back on topic. Radiant fire crystals have already had it's drop rate increased before. One radiant for every 5 prestige? As in how much prestige a player has? If so, NO. Players who have more than 10k prestige would be freaking rich in radiant fire crystals. A radiant fire crystal recipe? What would be required to make a radiant fire crystal?

The gunner update and the new missions ARE going to come. Just be patient. I don't know about having a new dlc now.

@Skyguarder This game is dying. It's slowly becoming infested with arrogant children who flaunt their parent's money and think the world of themselves.
It's also completely P2W, with PVP being so easy to win when all you need is a UV flourish.
But here's the thing; we're so blissfully ignorant of the impending death. Kinda like you.

@Zan-Euro
Radiants are fixed. We get 6 per vana run.
Gunner update is the biggest joke on the face of this virtual world. They're just going to keep delaying it.

@Blastpod
I disagree with what you said about the game being P2W, because money only provides a temporary shortcut, a F2P player can catch up to a player who paid for all their equipment, it'd just take longer. Also, as for the game itself being pay to win, what would you define as 'winning' in this game? Getting a lot of equipment? A F2P player can do that too, it'd just take them longer and save their wallets. The term 'win' with this game isn't really something you can easily determine, some people just want to have fun and are fine with that, while others aim higher.

As for your 'example' about pvp, I'm pretty sure that's not the only thing there is in the game, or the most important part. Also, a uv'd flourish won't really make you win, not by a long shot. I'd say that some other factors like skill (y'know, to use the flourish?), and ping are more important than what weapon you use, or whether it has a uv or not.

I also don't understand what you meant about the gunner update. Unless you were joking, OOO will eventually finish it, and they can't really delay something they don't give a release date for.

Proof that this game is dying? Also, I wouldn't consider that as a reason to why the game is dying. That's more of, "More children are playing the game".

It's also completely P2W

P2W = Pay to win.
This game isn't pay to win. It's F2P which is, "free-to-play". There is no "paywall" to progress through the storyline/game.

Up, yep, there everywhere now.

Up next, a guild called "Kill Spiral Knights!" will be made just to really cheer up the mood!

I can't even rate this suggestion because of all this constant love of death.

Well, you can reach everything by crowns, but P2W is usually used to describe a game in which the time to reach the point a paying player has is so ridiculous high that is more to impossible rather than realistical.

Spiral Knights has a clear End after all: you get 5* gear and after that you can only pimp it higher. After that you cant buy more game affecting stuff with real money (i will exclude shadow keys here). So it is always possible that someone who doesnt pay a penny can reach this point, too.

But be serious: the was SK changed missions, limitations and slowed progress right now is making a free way of playing pretty slow, even significant slower than this of a payed guy.

I would still consider SK as a Free to Play game, but it moved much more close to P2W, maybe even bordered the P2W line.

We will see what future speaks.

Oh and another thing: I didn't check forums on the weekend, but when I checked the forums today, there have been created like 4 or 5 *Revive SK Threads*.
Did anything happen that I missed?

P2W = Pay to win
F2P = Free to play
Not mutually exclusive.

However, SK is not Pay to win, because there is no content that is exclusive to paying customers. Buying power in this way is most definitely pay-to-win, however SK does not have this because everything is obtainable without paying OOO a cent. (As long as someone else buys the CE.) For example, that uber-UV'ed flourish? Not pay-to-win, quite. It does get pretty close because the price is pretty unreasonable for anyone who doesn't pay, but you can still get it without paying.

@Jenova: P2W is usually used to describe games where paying players can get content inaccessible to F2P players, something SK does not have. And no, nothing happened, I guess people felt especially toxic over the weekend. Maybe the holidays meant less people on so they felt like the game was dead?

~~~
But yeah, anyways, topic.
•Radiants as prestige mission rewards - I don't see why not, but I feel like the radiant problem would be better solved by just raising the drop rate again. Not that much even, just a little bit. It's not like you NEED fully heated 5*s to continue progressing, or anything.
•Radiant recipe- This would make it possible to create radiants without ever venturing into T3 (by making Warm crystals into Shinings into Radiants) which would mean that a knight could make a fully heated 5* set without ever going through the levels that are supposed to be necessary to get one.
•Gunner Update- You can't exactly say "release the gunner update!" It's not ready yet and will be released when it is. Quit being impatient.
•New missions- Same as above.
•DLC- I don't think DLC will actually help keep SK alive. More DLC means more gated content that would be better served by being accessible to all of the SK community, as new rank missions, arcade levels, shadow lairs, whatever. Just no more pay-gating, please. OCH was bad enough, for as long as it lasted.
•increased SoL drop rate- Can't really comment on this as I haven't really played Arcade enough since the Torto event (which took all of my last remaining sparks) to be able to give an accurate judgement on how bad the SoL drop rate actually is, but I don't think it's that atrocious. I would recommend looking for sparks in different places (faster-clearing levels with more boxes) and see if you still think the rate needs to be increased.
If I get one radiant per five prestige I'd get 15,069 crystals. And I only have 75,345.
Wow now we get 6? I forgot how much radiants it takes to make weapon lv 10 but i know that it`s too much. You know, Some people have other things in life than spiral knights and vana farming for that 6 radiants. It takes 1 hour to get there, i don`t even have that much time.
If radiants could be award for completing prestige missions, that would be great.
6 radiants per vana run? You got that during the radiant drought. Now you get like twice that.
